Absolutely love the idea of this place. It's big, colorful! They have so many different types of bouncers and sets to take pictures with. It's pretty cool. I only have a couple issues with it. It definitely needs a little upkeep. It's not "dirty" per day. Just a little run down. And I do mean a LITTLE. It still looks decent. But some things need fixing. My second complaint is that they don't have a lot of space for younger kids. My kids are 2 and 3. They can only do so much in a small space. So I didn't think it was worth the money in that regard. My niece loved it here. Perfect place for a kid with a lot of energy. Funbox is basically huge jumpers connected together. Some negative things: when jumping around ,because chasing after a little one will make you sweat, there seemed to not be a lot of ventilation going on which made the area feel warmer, Not enough seats available or tables, and they won't let you in with your own socks ( I was told by law they can't). When you first check in you have to sign a waiver and purchase socks that have a grip. I would bring my Niece back here. I recommend to bring your kids here , but not for a long time and pack light because there isn't any lockers or safe space to put your belongings aside. read more

Alas, when you have a mostly young clientele who treats your bookstore like a library, camping for hours in your store reading books for free and not buying them, it's only a matter of time, what with Westfield's premium rents for a large retail space just off the food court. Like a payday loan, it ain't cheap, Mildred... my wife and three little ones dropped $70 to get in the door, and walk through the cavalcade of repurposed stuffed animalia and assorted rainbow plastic crapulence destined for the central Pacific, no doubt. Seriously, this place has more plastic than a Beverly Hills High School 20 year class reunion. But before the myriad polystyrene and vinyl polychlorite orbs foul the life cycle of our world's oceans, they make GREAT PHOTO OPS! The upside down Simpsons living room, the tunnel o' teddy bears, the pool noodle graveyard, the Gigante Froot Loops room? It's a GD fairy tale, kids. The thing was over before anyone knew it-- turns out, there are time limits in the rooms, as enforced by the Millennial staffers who move you along at a steady clip once you have your silly picture amidst rainbow balloons. My five year old cried when some employee brusquely told him times up and shuffled him out. Thanks for that, FUNBOX. Yes, it's like living for the briefest of moments in one big Skittles commercial, except you're not hopped up on sugar, and your wallet is a lot lighter. Still, if you have plenty of disposable income and little bit of time during your inexplicably long day "hanging out" at the mall, might as well get a few good Instagram pics, I guess. Came in on a Tuesday evening for a party. I was not hosting the party but was a guest and at no point in time did I see any worker come and help serve the food or bring drinks. I saw someone walk in with boxes of pizza and then walk out of the small room we were in. The spaces they have for parties are so small and they are all the way in the back of the location by the restrooms which was not appealing. The room was so small that the isle they leave in the middle was not available to walk through bcuz when people sat down there was no room to walk through. It is so cramped In The party room. They have teenagers running the place playing loud but I mean loud club music to which you could not have a conversation due to how loud the music was. There was no adult in sight just teenagers. And then the cherry on top of this place was when the party was coming to an end. It would have been nice if someone would have come to the host to say your time is coming to an end but instead the workers thought it would be a great idea to announce on the loud speaker "the party of "kids name" is now over. They repeated this a few times one after the other which all the guests looked at each other in shock to how rude this announcement was. I have had many parties at locations like this and this by far was extremely unprofessional and will not recommend this place for a kids party. The location said it closes at 9 pm and the teenagers were rushing to clean to get out asap. It was 8 pm and they had the bathrooms closed already with yellow tape all over the door so no one would go in. So the party guests had to go outside and use the bathrooms in the food court if the mall. Not sure why the bathrooms were closed at 8 pm when they do not close until 9 pm. How embarrassing for the party hosts to not be able to offer there guest to be able to use the restrooms or changing stations for the babies bcuz the staff wanted to leave. This location is very unprofessional and would not recommend having a party here bcuz they don't care to make you feel comfortable in any way. read more

Had so much fun here! Came here on a whim after walking by it to go into the food court and the lights instantly attracted us. Prices are extremely affordable, we did the 1 hour for $19 and it was completely worth the price. 1 hour was plenty of time for us - we actually got too tired and left before the hour was up. If I were a kid again, I'd totally want to have my birthday party here. You have to purchase socks from them due to their special grip, which you can reuse again on your next visit. They were $3 and they have some cute designs on them. There are plenty of opportunities for IG pics, from the cute bear cave to all the piggy banks to the giant emojis you can pose with! So much fun taking photos, but try to bring another person to help you out with pictures. The jumping area was fun, especially climbing up and the slide, and throwing balls at each other. Overall, I felt pretty safe and distanced here, as everyone was respectful of space. They have some arcade machines and skee-ball (which is included in the admission) in the back for some more fun. PRO TIP: Make sure to bring your own water here! It gets really tiring jumping around after a bit... So glad we stumbled upon this gem! read more

Our children love this place. We take them whenever they have great achievements at school as their rewards. This is a perfect place for active kids to get their energy out in a fun and healthy way. Experience was great but the two hour time slot was short considering the eating time.

We were in town for the holidays and my 4 year old daughter loves all types of playgrounds. When I saw this on yelp I thought I would have to give it a try! This location does not open until 2pm on weekdays and is located in the Food Court right by Bowlero. The place is huge and pretty clean. Children under 5 pay a discounted price. Adults are free as long as they are not jumping as well. Lots to jump and climb and slide. Happy camper 4 year old had a fantastic time with her dad while I shopped at the mall. Perfect that it's right next to the food court too because all that exercise made for a hungry and thirsty kid! read more

I remember before they had the selfie section towards the left side, it's not there anymore maybe new owner/management?!. Check-in was different, they go based on groups and times I don't recall that before, def not a deal breaker. The staff were very helpful. Everything was fun the music for kids was the vibe. However unfortunately for me my daughter somehow hurt her foot I had to carry her to the tables and the staff immediately help and provided ice packs. Easy access and painless entry when we pre booked online. The place is just one big inflated jumpy house. My kids had a lot of fun running around and hopping away and releasing pent up energy. They have people there making sure the kids are playing safely. I don't hear much crying kids from hurting themselves. The sides is lined with a couple arcade games that appear free to play but we didn't get the chance to play them. The place is detracted one star because they don't regulate time restriction (90 min) so the place gets more and more crowded as the day goes on as more people come in. Also the place needs more frequent cleaning. I went and slid down a slide with my kid and I felt something wet on my hands. Disgusting! They also should have more places for parents to sit as there aren't enough sideline areas. But it is a good alternative to the park for the kids. read more

Had the most amazing time! When we arrived there wasn't a big line but then we waiting for our reservation at 4:30 and the line quickly became so long. The staff is amazing and scans your ticket way ahead of time while you wait for the staff inside to clean up the play areas. Once your ticket is scanned you receive a stamp. If your phone dies they have a charging station so no need to panic. Overall there were a ton of jumping activities and it wasn't too packed. They also sell shaved ice and you can select your flavors on the side. Highly recommend this experience for kids. My daughter really enjoyed the big jumper slide they had. Brought three kids on a Sunday afternoon: 14, 10, and 4) in hopes of expelling energy and taking cool photo ops (for the teenager of course). Pictures online really sell this place. Spent $66. You have to use "their" socks which is $3 each. Was it worth it? I would say no. No photo ops except the pig room which was dimly lit. We were looking forward to the poop emoji.... The jump area was unregulated so you had kids running and crashing into each other, cutting each other off. Pro: arcade games were free (if you were able to grab a turn). But that's about all that was offered at this location. Definitely not enough seats for parents, but that seems to be typical with places like this. This was more cost effective than trampoline places, but we didn't have as much fun . This place is designed for young young kids. read more

I called them at the time and they said they would send the invoice to them by email and they would refund it to me, but they still didn't refund it after 2 days. FUNBOX is one of those Instagram worthy popups that are becoming so popular, located in Thousand Oaks, at The Oaks mall. FUNBOX is specifically located on the 2nd floor next door to Lush and by the outside promenade entrance. Although the website suggest parking by Nordstrom, it would actually be better to park by Macy's since it is closer to the FUNBOX. FUNBOX is open every day, except closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tickets for adults (13+) during the weekday cost $14 and weekends cost $17. My husband, our little girl dog and I came to the FUNBOX on a Friday morning an hour before they opened, as we had made special arrangements prior for us to take photos with our little girl. Please note that The Oaks mall does not allow dogs (although Nordstrom allows dogs in their store) and neither does FUNBOX (we had an exception). During our time here, we spend about an hour taking our photos. It was great since no one else was there waiting behind us to take photos, so we did not feel rushed. This was our first time experiencing once of these type of Instagram walk throughs. But enjoyed each of the different installations. However, some of the themed rooms are a little too close together, which may end up having some of those themed room in the background of the room you are taking photos in (look closely at some of the Yelp photos and you will see what I am talking about). My favorite installation was the bowl of cereal with fruit loops and spoon. It definitely makes for some great photos, in addition to the piggy bank room, with all the bright pink colors. I do want to mention that for some of the installations, the lighting is not as bright and so it may not make for the best photos (unless you edit your photos to bring out the colors and brightness). Also during our time here, I thought the music was just too loud (thank goodness it was only turned on towards the end of our time going through the installations). Please note that once you enter the walk through, you are not allowed to go back and take photos and must only move forward. Also there are a few friendly employees available to help take photos for you and also give you creative photo ideas. Overall, we had a great time and can see why these walk through installations are becoming so popular. Please note that FUNBOX has extended their stay at The Oaks again. And have plans in the future to change the installations with a different theme (possibly an aqua theme, as the manager was telling us during our trip) so consider coming back to check that out. read more
