Came in on a Tuesday evening for a party. I was not hosting the party but was a guest and at no point in time did I see any worker come and help serve the food or bring drinks. I saw someone walk in with boxes of pizza and then walk out of the small room we were in. The spaces they have for parties are so small and they are all the way in the back of the location by the restrooms which was not appealing. The room was so small that the isle they leave in the middle was not available to walk through bcuz when people sat down there was no room to walk through. It is so cramped In The party room. They have teenagers running the place playing loud but I mean loud club music to which you could not have a conversation due to how loud the music was. There was no adult in sight just teenagers. And then the cherry on top of this place was when the party was coming to an end. It would have been nice if someone would have come to the host to say your time is coming to an end but instead the workers thought it would be a great idea to announce on the loud speaker "the party of "kids name" is now over. They repeated this a few times one after the other which all the guests looked at each other in shock to how rude this announcement was. I have had many parties at locations like this and this by far was extremely unprofessional and will not recommend this place for a kids party. The location said it closes at 9 pm and the teenagers were rushing to clean to get out asap. It was 8 pm and they had the bathrooms closed already with yellow tape all over the door so no one would go in. So the party guests had to go outside and use the bathrooms in the food court if the mall. Not sure why the bathrooms were closed at 8 pm when they do not close until 9 pm. How embarrassing for the party hosts to not be able to offer there guest to be able to use the restrooms or changing stations for the babies bcuz the staff wanted to leave. This location is very unprofessional and would not recommend having a party here bcuz they don't care to make you feel comfortable in any way. read more

FUNBOX is one of those Instagram worthy popups that are becoming so popular, located in Thousand Oaks, at The Oaks mall. FUNBOX is specifically located on the 2nd floor next door to Lush and by the outside promenade entrance. Although the website suggest parking by Nordstrom, it would actually be better to park by Macy's since it is closer to the FUNBOX. FUNBOX is open every day, except closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tickets for adults (13+) during the weekday cost $14 and weekends cost $17. My husband, our little girl dog and I came to the FUNBOX on a Friday morning an hour before they opened, as we had made special arrangements prior for us to take photos with our little girl. Please note that The Oaks mall does not allow dogs (although Nordstrom allows dogs in their store) and neither does FUNBOX (we had an exception). During our time here, we spend about an hour taking our photos. It was great since no one else was there waiting behind us to take photos, so we did not feel rushed. This was our first time experiencing once of these type of Instagram walk throughs. But enjoyed each of the different installations. However, some of the themed rooms are a little too close together, which may end up having some of those themed room in the background of the room you are taking photos in (look closely at some of the Yelp photos and you will see what I am talking about). My favorite installation was the bowl of cereal with fruit loops and spoon. It definitely makes for some great photos, in addition to the piggy bank room, with all the bright pink colors. I do want to mention that for some of the installations, the lighting is not as bright and so it may not make for the best photos (unless you edit your photos to bring out the colors and brightness). Also during our time here, I thought the music was just too loud (thank goodness it was only turned on towards the end of our time going through the installations). Please note that once you enter the walk through, you are not allowed to go back and take photos and must only move forward. Also there are a few friendly employees available to help take photos for you and also give you creative photo ideas. Overall, we had a great time and can see why these walk through installations are becoming so popular. Please note that FUNBOX has extended their stay at The Oaks again. And have plans in the future to change the installations with a different theme (possibly an aqua theme, as the manager was telling us during our trip) so consider coming back to check that out. read more

Our children love this place. We take them whenever they have great achievements at school as their rewards. This is a perfect place for active kids to get their energy out in a fun and healthy way. Love this place but they don't have a free water fountain or fill up. So if you get thirsty they will gladly charge you 5+ so you don't die.

We were in town for the holidays and my 4 year old daughter loves all types of playgrounds. When I saw this on yelp I thought I would have to give it a try! This location does not open until 2pm on weekdays and is located in the Food Court right by Bowlero. The place is huge and pretty clean. Children under 5 pay a discounted price. Adults are free as long as they are not jumping as well. Lots to jump and climb and slide. Happy camper 4 year old had a fantastic time with her dad while I shopped at the mall. Easy access and painless entry when we pre booked online. The place is just one big inflated jumpy house. My kids had a lot of fun running around and hopping away and releasing pent up energy. They have people there making sure the kids are playing safely. I don't hear much crying kids from hurting themselves. The sides is lined with a couple arcade games that appear free to play but we didn't get the chance to play them. The place is detracted one star because they don't regulate time restriction (90 min) so the place gets more and more crowded as the day goes on as more people come in. Also the place needs more frequent cleaning. I went and slid down a slide with my kid and I felt something wet on my hands. Disgusting! They also should have more places for parents to sit as there aren't enough sideline areas. But it is a good alternative to the park for the kids. read more

Pre-pandemic this place was filled with displays for you to take social media pictures. Most of the space now is occupied by a huge inflatable bouncy for kids of all ages. Great place to bring your kids to run and jump off some energy. Location- Located inside the food court, next to Bowlero and downstairs from Dave & Busters and the AMC movie theatre Service- The staff were all friendly and provided great service Parking- Free parking near the cheesecake factory. The mall gets packed during the weekend peak hours so it can take 30 mins to find parking. Interior- There is a few benches, tables and chairs for parents to hang out if they don't want to go into the bouncer with their kids. The restroom and locker is in the back. Tickets/Procedure- Ticket price is reasonable and are price according to play hour. You can purchase them at the door or online. I would suggest buying tickets and signing waiver online for the weekend prior to going to save time. Adults will have to purchase a ticket if they will be accompanying their child in the bouncer. Socks are also required and you do have to use their Funbox socks which has grips on the bottom. Toddlers are not allowed to go into the larger bouncer alone and that's for their safety as there are older kids in there jumping around. Had the most amazing time! When we arrived there wasn't a big line but then we waiting for our reservation at 4:30 and the line quickly became so long. The staff is amazing and scans your ticket way ahead of time while you wait for the staff inside to clean up the play areas. Once your ticket is scanned you receive a stamp. If your phone dies they have a charging station so no need to panic. Overall there were a ton of jumping activities and it wasn't too packed. They also sell shaved ice and you can select your flavors on the side. Highly recommend this experience for kids. My daughter really enjoyed the big jumper slide they had. Okay first and foremost I need to say the people who gave this place a bad rating are pretty stupid!!! This place was soooo much funnnnn and the lighting here is EVERYTHINGGGG!!! I have gone to the Museum of Ice Cream, happy place and the other pop up exhibits and I have to say this was a tie with the museum of ice cream. I loved the exhibits, this place wasn't in a giant industrial building or anything it was quite perfect. So many exhibits they were interactive and you can take some amazing shots!!! My only complaint is that you do feel rushed at times to take pics because people are behind you...But I highly recommend coming during the weekday and also coming late to avoid traffic. I have to give a shot out and major kudos to the GM Jared. He was so professional, polite and overall omg calm!!! There was this witch who came here with her boys and her boys were so rude ans obnoxious and Jared even advised they had a 5 min timer in the cereal bowl and her kids wouldn't get out after the time was up. Not to mention her kids were out of control throwing the cereal outside the bowl. We waited their patiently and finally they left but the lady complained to the poor gm thar he was rude. Ummm girl byeeee! I swear if that was me I would have told her off but Jared remained calm and super collective and handled the situation while the lady kept barking so major props to him. I haven't been to FunBox in over 2 years and decided to take my girls recently. It seems different they changed some stuff around. I remember before they had the selfie section towards the left side, it's not there anymore maybe new owner/management?!. Check-in was different, they go based on groups and times I don't recall that before, def not a deal breaker. The staff were very helpful. Everything was fun the music for kids was the vibe. However unfortunately for me my daughter somehow hurt her foot I had to carry her to the tables and the staff immediately help and provided ice packs. Maria, which she's the manager was very attentive and helpful, thank you! The staff kept checking on her making sure she was doing fine. Husband and I came with our 2 years old toddler. Reserved tickets ahead of time, convenient! Lockers worked fine so thank you for that. Able to store stroller near the lockers with no problem. Socks are so cute here! Employees are so nice. Also I'm so glad they have 1-3 ppl constantly monitoring safety! First timers here and we adults had the best time. However, could be a little cheaper for a 90min session... 5 stars because of Cece - I'm coming back because of her!!! She went out of her way to assist and support. Brought three kids on a Sunday afternoon: 14, 10, and 4) in hopes of expelling energy and taking cool photo ops (for the teenager of course). Pictures online really sell this place. Spent $66. You have to use "their" socks which is $3 each. Was it worth it? I would say no. No photo ops except the pig room which was dimly lit. We were looking forward to the poop emoji.... The jump area was unregulated so you had kids running and crashing into each other, cutting each other off. Pro: arcade games were free (if you were able to grab a turn). But that's about all that was offered at this location. Definitely not enough seats for parents, but that seems to be typical with places like this. This was more cost effective than trampoline places, but we didn't have as much fun . This place is designed for young young kids. read more

I loved FUNBOX so much! As a photographer, I had a lot of fun in all these different scenes. My cousin had found this place in Instagram and from her friends and I honestly loved it. The staff was amazing and always offer to help take pictures, which made the experience so much better. We also went in a bit late due to traffic but the we weren't given attitude or being pushy and I appreciated that so much. I ended up meeting the owner too and that was amazing. Anthonio was amazing and we even got a picture together. FUNBOX is located on the second floor next to LUSH Cosmetics. According to the navigation, you'll be taken to the other end of the parking lot, but you have to go into The Oak, which is the mall. read more

I bought a ticket online last Sunday, but I live in Fontana and I wanted to go to Ontario. I bought the wrong ticket. I called them at the time and they said they would send the invoice to them by email and they would refund it to me, but they still didn't refund it after 2 days. I kept calling after that, but they didn't process my refund properly. When I called them, they still hung up on me. The service was very terrible. Celia helped us at the front. To day she is the loveliest and most patient person is an understatement. When one is faced with crazy kids who can't keep it together because they're too excited, and you're able to handle them with patience, grace and kindness...well, let's just say she is an absolute gift and gem. She made it easy to get everyone in quickly and efficiently. Plus the place is awesome. 90 min of jump time is more than enough to wear them out. Plus the games in the front are FREE. I wanted to give this more stars, and the review is pretty unique, so take it with a grain of salt. Just be weary that you could have this situation. My family came to enjoy Funbox on a Sunday. As we were taking pics in the selfie installments, our phone and car keys were stolen. We hadn't gotten into the jumpers, and the moment my fiancé realized that they were gone he had called the phone. He could hear it ringing several times until someone disconnected the blue tooth and shut off the phone. My husband was frantic and we called the police to file a report. The staff didn't really offer much at all, so we took matters in our own hands. We were told the owner would show up within the hour to get footage for us. They never showed and then we were told it would be emailed directly to me and the police. No one emailed, got back to my calls, emails or voice messages. I don't expect police to do much, but with action we could have gotten to the bottom of it much quicker. Timing is everything. The lack of response just tells me someone may have internally stole it. Is it a strong accusation? Maybe. But their behavior leads me to believe that one of their staff stole it and they're covering up. If I'm wrong, just send me the footage like your staff promised. So now I have no keys. I'm having trouble programming a new one, I'm shelling out so much money to fix this. And I could have gotten so much farther if Funbox would have at least cooperated with me and my family to give us the footage we needed and not jerk us around. No follow up. No "f"s given. read more

Brought my 9 and 7 year-olds on a school holiday. It was busier than I expected. I was sitting at one of the tables with our things while my children played. Eventually both children got thirsty so I went to get them water from the vending machine. When I returned to the table I was sitting at, another parent pushed all my belongings aside and sat down to eat her food from the food court. I respectfully told her that I was there first and apparently the stuff she pushed to the side were mine. She said she saw no one at this table, and straight up ignored me while eating. My children were both watching as I am telling this parent. Since she was disrespectful, I just continued to sit at the same table to make her feel uncomfortable. My complaint is that this business allows these types of people to bring food from the food court and enable them to kick people from their tables.
