I've been trying to avoid this place coz of the stars and reviews. We've been going to The Playground in La Mesa because of their Kangaroo Jump although parking sucks, too much activity everywhere, not easy to find, too crowded, poor selection of snacks, untidy, little to no presence of staff and a lot of uncontrollable kids! We've also been going to Play City in East Lake because it's very neat, staff is visible constantly cleaning putting away toys, a lot of space and much more choices of snacks although it sucks that it's a 30 mins drive down South, you cannot play with your child in the structure and private party areas are literally just there in the corner. Funbelievable is the in between of these two. We went on a Sunday and it was an ok amount of kids. I had a great time playing with my son in the slide, doing all that maze just to get to the slide aint easy for me lol but I did it with my toddler and he had a blast!! And their food selection I got Ceasar Salad, Meat Panini and Mango Smoothies wasn't bad at all.. pretty decent size and taste good. The staff even watch my son when I had to run to my car real quick. Overall I must say it's undeniably fun here for both adults and kids. 15 South to 52 East and 67 North.. traffic what??? Definitely our go to place now for sure! read more

Absolute fun for hours for the kids. I cannot emphasize enough how spectacular the staff is handling every kind of circumstance. The owner or hiring manager does well hiring and training their team. Every team member is welcoming, attentive, patient, safe, and much more than I can think of at this time. My wife and I paid for memberships for our two kids for everything I mentioned and for the fact that they patrol the place well for those times kids want to test the rules or outright do wrong. We love that there is a separate area for toddlers to have away for the older kids and that the are plenty of seats for the adults to rest. Great work to this team. I'm torn. The ladies working here are amazing and so sweet. I know I have this view because I'm a parent, prior I wouldn't have batted an eye. They say they have a "no sick kids" policy, yet do not do anything when parents bring their children who are pouring bright green snot. Which is insane, why have that sign posted if you won't ACTUALLY do anything about it Second, I recently went to Toucan Play in Chula Vista and I was blown away, it was so clean and some of their policies NEED to be adapted by Funbelievable. I was about to walk down the hall to change my son, when I said "oops! Almost forgot to toss my shoes on" and the worker said "don't worry, almost no parents put shoes on and just wear their socks" Like what? That's disgusting. To wear socks in the restroom then return to where children are crawling on the hands and knees? Toucan has slippers for the second you leave the play area for people to borrow and just slip on. So while Funbelievable is great, they have so many different areas for kids of all ages, and a cute cafe inside - I'm disheartened by the lack of cleanliness and torn because I love the staff, and it's more the parents faults for bringing sick kids, I just wish they'd actually decline service to those with visibly sick kids. Hosted my son's 6th birthday at FUNbelievable and had a great experience! I booked a semi private party about 5 weeks in advance. A week before the party, they call to confirm your party package and food order. They handle everything from decorations to food, so you only need to bring in party favors or cake which made it very stress free! We arrived about 10 mins before our party and they had everything setup. The facility is clean, our kids enjoyed the open ball area and the playground. They went up and down the blue slide multiple times. The staff was very attentive to us throughout our booked time. We'll be back! read more

This place is clean and fun! First time bringing my two daughters 8 & 5 on Veterans Day. Our visit stated at 11 am until 1 pm and it was busy but still enough room to run around with them in the place structures. We got a solid hour of running, climbing and playing in the ball zone before the girls started to slow down for water breaks. Adults can enjoy comfy couches, free WiFi, Massage chairs (I did 6 minutes for $2) and a cafe. The kids love this place! My second time here and it's quite a drive for us but we're willing to make it so that we can all have some fun. And love that they have food, drinks, and snacks you can buy for the kids and ourselves. They don't allow shoes which I think is great as shoe soles carry a lot of germs and the adults can also play area is also Adult friendly so you can follow your kids up the obstacle course. I just knew she was upset right away. I stood in front of the cash register, and I said "she said I could get a refund for the salad?" No stars. So bummed. We went to a party here recently and the workers were not welcoming or energetic like I feel a Children's playground should be. We went right when they opened. They were more focused on chasing kids around to put their masks on than anything else. Very lifeless energy. The music was adult music that didn't cater to the children. We had to ask them to change the music and they said no. It was just a very sad experience. The party package doesn't include water bottles and they don't give extra napkin or plates for what you pay they give the bare minimum. We've been here twice now in the last 2 weeks for birthday parties. A giant warehouse type building with indoor play area for kids of all ages. There is a separate area for kids under 2-3. Each group is checked in as you enter. Both times we've been with birthday parties so I don't know about the costs per child. The girls up front are friendly and point out which room the party is located in and reminded us to put our socks on. Socks are mandatory even for adults who are not participating and just watching their kids. The play area was clean, there were plenty of tables and chairs for families to sit in and also a snack bar. It was a good experience for us and we're looking forward to returning! read more

Terrible customer service. I have been having my daughters birthday parties here for years (since they were 2 years old to be specific, and they are now 8). We came in for a couple of hours to let them play and the last ten minutes mom wanted to stop by to tell them happy birthday. My mom is 62 years old. She let them know that she was not there to play, but literally just to say hi and give them a hug. She was told my the front desk staff that she was not able to enter and they wanted to charge her for coming behind the Gate. Not only did they want to charge her, they were also extremely rude and condescending. I've never experienced anything like that. We asked to speak with the manager and the owner came to the front and was equally as rude. We had to wait until our last 5-10 minutes expired before she could physically hug them and say hi. I'm so disappointed. The way that we were treated was uncalled for. It's sad because my kids really love funbelievable but I will never bring them back to this place again due to their lack of customer service and the way that we were treated. As to review about "too many adults," seriously? My kid is perfectly able to climb by himself, but I actually want to play with my kid too. We tried to purchase the fun boxes whenever finances allowed. We love this place! Except today made me so mad, I almost cried. If you've been here before, your inbox is probably filled with email adverts from them occasionally. For reference, pre-pandemic, they offered three party options; mini party (M-F), semi-private, and private. Son's father & I looked for a party place/idea for months and finally funbelievable emailed us stating they were accepting semi-private parties after June 1st. Great, we thought! Fast forward to mid-to-end of May. We've been coming here once a week since they've opened. And I've worked enough to afford the $395 basic semi-private party package. I first submitted a request online to reserve June 5th, a Saturday, around May 19th. Get a call the next business day, but I missed it because I work nights and the call was while I was dead asleep. I tried to call back May 21st but all day the phone line would be "busy." So I submitted another request. Same date requested, June 5th. They called me back same day. No issues were discussed with the date, or party package choice. I said I would come in later that day, but my boy decided to nap late. No problem, we'll go tomorrow, May 22nd. We arrive later than I wanted, around 1:00. They are busy, but not too bad. I say I'm ready to buy the party date! She opens the book.... and there's a party already scheduled 10-12. Well okay, I also see other times on the book available. And if all else fails, we can do Sunday, June 6th. "We only book semi-private parties in the morning." Okay, well how about Sunday? She turns the page and it's empty, sweet! "Actually we aren't booking semi-privates on the weekends until after June 15th." Wait.... what? That's completely contradictory to the countless emails I receive, and the website. We have (vaccinated) family coming to town that weekend for his party, so we can't book another weekend. Wish all of this could have been relayed to me when I asked about that date and party package the two times I submitted the info request on their website. To date, their website still says nothing about semi-privates not being available until June 15th OR in the afternoon. Sadly, after this interaction, we probably will not be coming back as often. Definitely will be the last time we visit this place. I have been to funbelievable on several occasions with my 3 year old and 10 year old. This is the first Yelp review I have ever written but it needs to be shared. Honestly I'm usually left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed anytime we go, but I always say "maybe next time will be better." Seems like more often than not, we have to leave within 30 minutes of getting there due to it being WAY too over crowded, to the point it becomes a safety issue especially for the smaller children. Today, we arrived around 10:30am... which means they had only been open for 30 or so minutes. It was beyond crowded but we still decided to pay and go in. 1st mistake. I had to basically keep my arms out in order to block my 3 year old from being trampled or pushed over by the older kids. Most (not all) kids are generally left unattended and proceed to run wild. It's absolute chaos. This is more a parenting issue than a business issue, however there are staff members aimlessly walking around the place so you'd think their job would be to ensure kids are playing safely. Within about 15 minutes of being there... I started to notice the obvious aroma of poop. My 10 year old even made a comment about this. We continued to try and play. This is when it gets super "fun." We walk into the ground level of the structure toward the ball pit (still smells like poop) and my socks become SOAKED. As well as my 10 and 3 year olds socks. I look down and notice the floor is totally soaked. We walk out and I see another parent speaking to a very put out employee with a container of Clorox wipes. I ask "is that pee we just stepped in?" He says, "yes we are working on cleaning it up." Mind you... kids are continuing to run in and out through the pee and the area is not closed off. The employee then proceeds to say "it's just pee, you'll be fine" to the poor kids who are asking him what they just stepped in. Another mom is running around asking people if the little boy in the ball pit is their child. He appeared to be about 3 or so. Apparently he pooped and peed his pants and then went and jumped into the ball pit. An employee eventually went and got him out of the ball pit since his parent was still no where to be found. (The ball pit was never closed down or properly sanitized after this little boy was sitting in it with poop and pee on his clothing). At this point I am completely over it. I grabbed my girls and we went and threw our socks away. Prior to walking out I tell the employee at the front that I would like a refund due to us only being there for less than 30 minutes and having to throw away our socks. And because overall it was a terrible experience. He tells the woman (with the accent) who is apparently the owner. She comes over to me and tells me they do not do refunds but I can have a free voucher for next time. I tell her there will absolutely not be a next time. She still states she can't give me a refund. At this point I don't care anymore and just want to leave. So we left. About 15 minutes later I call in and request their business license information because I think their business practices are terrible, unsanitary and unsafe. She tells me she cannot give me her license number because she's "busy" and already offered me a ticket voucher. After a few more minutes of her being entirely defensive she eventually tells me she will give me a refund (but still never provides the business license #). Point of the story is... the employees and owner have terrible customer service and there is no sense of safety. If your customers are upset because they stepped in urine... instead of telling them "it happens" maybe try to find a way to make them happy. Most kids are left unattended and the employees do nothing to ensure they are playing safe. The play area was never closed down to be properly cleaned and parents were never notified that their kids may have wet, pee soaked socks. Will not be returning and honestly... we won't be missing out on a whole lot. read more

Been here a handful of times with my son. My kid absolutely loves it. They have a pretty elaborate padded obstacles course area with a ball pit, rope swing, and three slides. I like it because the areas are large enough to go through with my kid but everything is close enough to give him space and still watch him. Some other feedback I'll give is that it seems some parents go there and cut their kids loose. I've found this annoying a couple of times but it's overall been a great experience. If you can swing it their 10- punch card is a great value. It definitely beats paying full price for just a couple of hours (since my kid still naps). read more

What a great name that perfectly depicts the place!! Funbelievable was Unbelievably Fun. A little tricky to find since we were unfamiliar with the area, I think some street signage would help as I wasn't sure on the google maps exactly where to turn. Tucked in an industrial business park it was a little difficult to pin point. Upon entering the staff was very welcoming and super helpful. We had come for a private event for a birthday and really enjoyed it, both kids and adults alike! The play area was clean and well kept and I loved how they had two different areas, one for smaller tots and one with three stories of climbing, jumping, running, flying, and sliding fun! I loved that the play structure was built big enough for adults to join in on the fun. Really awesome that they allow you to bring in your own food and drinks! My kids absolutely love this place, we have been to many many indoor play places and this one is by far their favorite. It's big enough to keep them busy and entertained for hours but, it's really safe and I bet worry about them there. Funbelievable has WiFi, so if you need to work on your computer or, I don't know knit you can pretty much in peace except the screams of joy of course! They have an espresso bar for those who forgot their morning coffee or need an after scream, I mean afternoon pick me up! If you needs a snack they have some fantastic paninis! My kids participated in a scavenger hunt, it was fun and something they were capable of doing, they received a cool prize at the end. I will definitely return any chance I get! It's UN-Believable how UN-Friendly the owner and staff is here! They take the FUN out of FUN-Believable! We have been going to that place FOREVER! I am so sad we need to take our business elsewhere. Met my mother in law there this morning so she could hang with her grandkids for a few hours while she's here from out of town. This is something we have done for years. We've never been harassed like we were today. Upon arrival, my mother in law (grandma) was stopped because she had a gift bag in her hand. She brought a gift for one of the grandkids who has a birthday next month when she will be back in arizona. They told her no gifts because she didn't pay for a party. She said ok, can I give her the gift outside later if I leave it in my car? They told her she couldn't give her anything birthday related on the property. I asked if she could just take it out of the gift bag (since it was just a couple of books) and bring it in. The man at the counter said no because it's birthday related! I said no, they're just regular books. You only know they're birthday gifts because we told you. After some back and forth he reluctantly allowed us to bring them in (not in a gift bag). We made it clear were not trying to sneak a birthday party in, that was the only birthday related thing. Then he actually checked grandma's bag to make sure there were no birthday items! Seriously felt like we were trying to enter a prison! I asked to speak with the owner to let her know our experience rather than post a negative review online. I thought it would be fair to speak with her directly so she could understand our feelings. Unfortunately, she was ruder than the employee! I told her this experience makes us not want to come back because of how we were treated and she said, that's fine. Employees were horrible!!! They ruined the private birthday party! Food was cold! They did not let us in right away but still took 30 mins off the time! They let two strangers in and also charged them and thought we wouldn't notice, they got kicked out and asked for a refund! The employees were rude making facing, didn't even want to play the happy birthday song during the cake. I was actually a guest very close to the birthday boys mother so I noticed everything, they kept making faces around 5pm they turned down the music, were vacuuming while the party was going on just like on purpose. They did not let the parents of the birthday boy enjoy at all !! Kept pressuring, every 15 mins, like can we take the gifts to the car so when it's 6 you just walk out and there was still 45 minutes left. They made every single adult feel uncomfortable with their actions of being extra pushy! They also announced once it was 6pm bathrooms would be closed. When it was about 5:50 they had already closed with a yellow stick! Kid you not, there was people in the bathrooms so when they walked out they were thrown off! Okay... super cool place for kids. Younger kids ages 2-10. Cool staff, but... and this is a big but.. do NOT offer food if you're not going to allow your guests to eat in peace. I understand mask mandates, but this team is OVER THE TOP. Owner/ Manager, you guys need to lighten up your policies. First, tables are 6ft away from each other. Second, if a family is sitting down enjoying coffee or snacks, do NOT bother them if they're not wearing a mask while eating or drinking. It's ridiculous. Let me start off by saying I am not one to write yelp reviews but I need to share my experience. Today, I took my 22 month old and 3 1/2 year old to play. We have been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience. The front staff, a young girl with an accent told us we had to wear masks inside. I put mine on, and attempted to put on my 3 year old. In doing so, my 3 year old started to cry and obviously not comply. She is not trained to wear a mask and does not understand. The staff then proceeded to rudely tell me that she could not even get past the gate unless she was masked. She was wanting me to forcibly put on her mask while she was obviously crying and upset. I told staff she would not wear one, and she said due to the "state mandate" we would not be allowed past the entry gate if she did not have it on. And let me remind you, this whole time I have my 22 month old who did NOT have to put on a mask even though they come from the same family, and same household, and have the same potential to spread any covid. (Which we had zero symptoms of). What made me so upset in this whole experience, was that MANY kids on the inside already playing we're not mask complient. The front desk staff could easily see them. Why force my child when it is was not strictly being enforced inside? I understand the "mandate" currently in the state of California but unless you are going to enforce it everywhere then how the staff treated me today was unfair and unjust. They had no sympathy for my toddler who was visibly upset even though I as the adult was complying. Front desk staff was also very rude when I asked for a refund due to my child not being let in. (But only one of them - because apparently the other was fine to go in.) Terrible experience today at funbelievable and I will not be returning. And to the front desk girl working with an accent, I understand the rules. But in that situation we need to look at the big picture. Rules should be for all and I felt you acted very in appropriate and unprofessional to me during that time. I am truly disappointed. read more
