Specifically, the slice of tiramisu for the birthday boy wasn't available so in a haste, I ordered the full tiramisu in the display case. The tres leches I ordered wasn't in stock and was replaced by vanilla rolls. I read so many positive reviews, I assumed any cake should be good. Sadly, the vanilla roll was inedible. The cake part was dense and dry. It seemed like the type of cake they'd use for tres leches but of course, without the milk which made it taste really bad. The red velvet was equally dry and wasn't made with cream cheese frosting. It was bland and actually tasted like cheap ingredients. The worst part was the $30 tiramisu for birthday boy. It had the same dense and dry sponge cake and was nothing like traditional tiramisu. I was really embarrassed and we couldn't finish it. I don't write these reviews lightly but I was extremely disappointed, will not return, and will not recommend.

The ube malasadas were great too, not too heavy at all.

It sells out most days. All of the breads are amazing. The pitas are soft and flavorful and fluffy. So much better than commercial baked grocery bread. Prices are fair. The staff is caring. They will set aside goods for you if you are coming in later. The house made hummus in the bakery is my favorite! Tahini rich with a bit of zatar. I always buy 2 because I have almost finished 1 container before I get home. Fresh bread keeps well in the freezer. They also make cookies and baklava that I like because they're not too sweet like commercially made ones. The store is ok. Vegetable section is vast and cheap but lots of flies. They have a restaurant inside - I haven't tried. They have a meat counter I got some seasoned chicken with veggies to try but in the pan I found stickers left on bell peppers so I won't buy again. I usually like to buy halal because of cleanliness standards but then how did the sticker make it in if it was cleaned?

To make matters worse, when she finished, she shoved the box across the counter toward me without saying anything. I've always enjoyed the bakery's products, but customer service is just as important as the food. A simple request should have been handled with a little more care and courtesy.
