The store is owned by a super nice couple and I am all about supporting small businesses. The prices are also very competitive! Every thing that is marked regular price is 20% off and they have a monthly competition where they gift a buyer $50 if you bought at least $20 worth of stuff. At the time of this review, it was my second visit in 20 days and I still came out with a huge haul (see pic). They are super active on their Facebook page always taking pictures of their latest arrivals. They also hold things for you at your request so that's how I came out with my next series of cats! The owner, Kim, was there during our visit and was happy to answer any questions we had. This was my first time in a bead store, so if it's your first time too, here are a couple of things that are good to know: Everything is sorted by style and size. I made the mistake of getting two different colors of beads made from the same material but in slightly different sizes. Oops! The strands of beads are all on clips. Each strand is separate. You can either take the entire clip up to the register or remove just the strand you want. If something doesn't have a price, Kim will check it for you if she doesn't already know it. She really knows her inventory, though, so don't worry! I would recommend having at least a general idea of what you're looking for because it would be very easy to get overwhelmed by all the options. Even though the store seems small, there is SO much to look at! Take your time, relax, and enjoy browsing. I had such a fun time and will definitely be back!

The owner was very helpful (I was there multiple times as kept going back for more things for my projects) - I was making pearl and leather necklaces as gifts and they had a very nice selection of the leather and some large drilled pearls- plus the owner showed me a better way to make the knots for my project so they look pretty darn good, if I do say so myself! They offer classes and had a nice selection of beads and findings, as well as examples of finished projects that are inspirational and aspirational- I will definitely be back! I recently picked up ceramics and learned about Rovin when I was looking for a place to buy…read moreunderglazes for my pieces. They're affiliated with Motawi Tile which I LOVE, so I was excited to check them out. The place I take classes doesn't allow outside clay but they do source the clay we use from Rovin. I've been using their "You Betcha" mix (mid-range) and really love it. It's got a bit of grog in it which means you're not going to get a super smooth surface but it helps give the clay a bit more structure. Since I'm still learning I like that this one has a bit more heft to it and holds its shape a little better for sculpting and fixing mistakes! But what I was most excited about were the glazes and underglazes! They have so many! And each one has a fired example piece which was so nice since what you see if often not what you get with these. Mostly I've seen things online but it's hard to really get a sense since photos and screens can sometimes misrepresent as well. In the end I got an Amaco underglaze watercolor set of a few colors and a few 2oz bottles of some of my go-to colors. They also sell the underglazes by the pint but since I'm still learning and will be at most a hobbiest, a little goes a long way and I found the 2oz perfect to start with. I'm also excited to come back to get some more of those as well as some glazes since they carry many stunning options. But I decided to pace myself this time! They have some tools here available as well, and for really reasonable prices. I also bought a few drape molds and a stylus tool for fine detail work. I also came in about 15 minutes before close and the staff was still super nice and helpful and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Can't wait to pop in again soon!

The amount of different clays is mindboggling but the staff asked us lots of great questions and found the perfect items for us. Everything you could every need for throwing pots, modeling, firing, and just good fun is here. They also fire for a fee. They sell both electric and kick wheels, all kinds of tools, and plenty of glazes.

I love buying used books. I love everything about books. I actually came here while running errands with someone else. I don't think I would have ever known this was here otherwise. I wandered around the store while the person I was with was taking care of whatever it is we came in there for. It was such an immersive experience. I appreciate how the store is laid out. There is/was so much thought put into not just the layout of where sections should be, but where each book goes. It is so well curated. I got so many incredible recommendations from the employee picks that I have loved, shared with others, and they have loved too. I booked a class for a friend on a Saturday afternoon. We…read morearrived early, checked in and sat at the tables waiting for the class to start. The building is huge and they had tons of classes and items to paint separately. There were quite a few people signed up for the class and they had a few teachers helping out. We were given an overview and an example of what we needed to do and we were off. The class included one of our creations to be glazed and colored. We were lucky enough to attend for a party, and the private rooms for those are large and well-equipped. Kids were able to pop between the play area and the party room during their time in the venue. Bathrooms are kid friendly with kid potty seats. I don't remember any of the two banes of our existence with a little one, namely a sensor flush on the toilet or an air dryer (both noisy things that make public restrooms look less attractive). One of my favorite features was the quiet room. Calm, dark, and with a big comfy kiddo couch and headphones for those who need them, it was a welcome respite from the sometimes boisterous play area that even a parent could appreciate!
