    Skate area

This is a cool spot! I ended up here because we were invited by my daughter's friend and honestly; I had never heard of the location before. It's located on the south side of Indy and if you wanted to skate in a not so crowded rink.......come here! The setup is pretty cool too! Right now with skate rental and table reservation they are offering unlimited pizza and drinks! You honestly can't beat it! My daughters had a blast too. The arcade area needs a little work. Unfortunately most of the games were out of order so there were not too many to choose from. The best part is at least the ones functioning were easy enough my 4 year old was able to operate them. She had a blast too! She hit quite a few jackpots and had the time of her life jumping up and down while the tickets came flowing out! This was a great touch because most arcades are digital so you miss the old school fun of tickets pouring out the machines. We will definitely be visiting this spot again and if you're in the area or looking for a low key place to hang out with the family.......come here!

The floor is absolutely humongous. The stereo sounds amazing. Very clean! Maple flooring equals great skating.

This place is great. Came on a Saturday at noon with my daughter. Music is Top40 pop and old school skate funk (Atomic Dog / Bounce Rock Skate Roll etc). This place is very clean for an old school rink, and everything looks to be working (no broken lights / broken games / etc). There were many employees working and everyone was very nice. Prices are decent, and free refills on large drinks is nice. $14.99 deal gets admission, skates, a game card, access to the all you can eat pizza, and a glow stick. Just wow.

Must have been recently rebranded or under new owners

I took a chance when I bought a Groupon since there was no Yelp review. We had a good time and will visit again if we can get a similar deal. We had a bit of trouble finding the place. It is located behind the IMAX theater. The building still has its former name on it. The skating rink has a 1980s retro feel to it. The carpet appears to be newer as does the paint on the walls. Other areas could stand a coat of paint or a good scrubbing. The bathrooms were sufficient and reasonably clean. We went on a Saturday late afternoon until 7pm and music was a mix of pop music, Disney tunes, and family friendly top 40. The music was louder than what it eeded to be. I hate shouting over the music to have a conversation especially when I have young kids with me and I need to relay instructions, etc. Lights alternated between one and off for skating. The floor is good size and is wooden. Skate rental was quick and easy. The adult skates left a lot to be desired. The first pair my husband was given didn't have a tongue in one of the skates. Mine had one lace too short and the other way way too long. The wheels pulled to the right on one of my skates. That being said, I loved that they real skates for my 3 year old and not just the toy type that straps on over the shoe. His skates were in good condition. My daughter brought her own from home with no issues. There were also roller blades for rent. The skatemates could be rented for $5. Concession area was well staffed. We ordered an extra large pizza and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Pizza was surprisingly decent. There was plenty of seating. The kids wanted to do arcade games. More than half of the games were out of order which was a huge bummer. Hopefully they will be fixed soon - or removed. Regardless, the kids had fun with the few games that were available. They loved getting tickets and cashing them in for the typical junky arcade prizes that you see at other skating rinks, bowling alleys, etc. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful when we had a questions.

    disgusting ceiling

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because if you have skates it's close to mid. There is maybe 5 staff, the skates look(and probably are) ancient. It is so unsanitary, dirty carpet, ceiling and the food. Not trying to be rude to the staff (at least most of them) but they do the bare minimum.

It was beautiful, the food was good and space was perfect for our friends large wedding. I am an event planner by hobby so I keep my eyes peeled for every little detail. For this current wedding, I experienced the actual ceremony at this venue and the reception. It was very beautiful and the staff was friendly and professional! Here are the things I really loved about this venue: 1. I loved the space. It seems like this venue can seat 300+ that maybe a stretch but it has a dividing wall which can seat lots or little 2. The food is surprisingly amazing! At Both weddings I remember thinking 'this food is awesome!' We had pasta, rolls, mashed potatoes, salad, and green beans. Everything was cooked very well! We didn't even notice there was no meat. Super impressed. 3. The transition from the ceremony to the reception. The reception was right next door and during the time the bridal party room pictures, the staff changed the ceremony room to more space for the reception. It was so fast! So great. 4. Elegant & clean. The place overall is very clean and wedding friendly. They have tile floors which are a great color for any wedding. I also peeked into the bridal suite. Fab! 5. Lastly, the staff was wonderful! I met the owner Rita. I was shocked she owned the place because she was working so hard! Overall, I really thought this place deserves 5 stars!!! It is a GREAT place to have a wedding. Ceremony and/or reception!

The Nest Event Center is located in Greenwood just off I-65 at Main Street. The parking lot is quite large and will accommodate a large event. The interior is amazing and you'd never know it was a former restaurant. The lobby area is very attractive, decorated in beiges and cream, and I could see using this for cocktails, a reception line plus so much more. It worked well tonight for purchasing tickets plus an area to sit and relax while enjoying the fireplace. The versatile ballroom is quite large and can handle everything from a wedding, conference to special events. One of those special events is the Holiday Craft Show tonight. The Event Center has a neutral color scheme and can accomadate most bridal or conference color schemes. This proved to be true with all the colors associated with the Holiday Craft Show. Tonight all different color schemes were used and all the crafts looked wonderful. With this neutral backdrop any decor theme would work nicely allowing brides or companies a great deal of flexibility and creativity. The Holiday Craft Show was a huge draw. Many different types of vendors filled the ballroom carrying Christmas decor, wreaths, jewelry, clothing, wool mittens, woodworking projects, signs, candles, crocheted items, lap blankets, floral arrangements and much more. There truly was something for most anyone's interest and many gift ideas. In the future I would like to take an official tour and checkout pricing for a yearly event I'm involved with. This is a beautiful venue with endless potential.

Admissions is affordable at $5 per person, but it was free the day we visited because of a reptile show! We got to see tortoises, skinks, salamanders, tarantulas, snakes, and more! Inside the conservatory, there are fish and a couple other critters permanently on display. The signage around the gardens is informative and interesting- and the plants are simply beautiful! So well cared for and healthy. I could have walked around the loop 5 times and noticed new things each time. There are several places to sit and relax throughout the gardens (we fed our baby on one of the benches). There is a restroom and coat racks- which you'll need because the gardens are quite warm! What a great find for the afternoon! Bonus that it's located right in a park, by a library, several cute places to stop and eat, and public art. The only downside I can think of is that there wasn't a ton of parking- probably more accessible when there isn't a special event going on!
