The Nest Event Center is located in Greenwood just off I-65 at Main Street. The parking lot is quite large and will accommodate a large event. The interior is amazing and you'd never know it was a former restaurant. The lobby area is very attractive, decorated in beiges and cream, and I could see using this for cocktails, a reception line plus so much more. It worked well tonight for purchasing tickets plus an area to sit and relax while enjoying the fireplace. The versatile ballroom is quite large and can handle everything from a wedding, conference to special events. One of those special events is the Holiday Craft Show tonight. The Event Center has a neutral color scheme and can accomadate most bridal or conference color schemes. This proved to be true with all the colors associated with the Holiday Craft Show. Tonight all different color schemes were used and all the crafts looked wonderful. With this neutral backdrop any decor theme would work nicely allowing brides or companies a great deal of flexibility and creativity. The Holiday Craft Show was a huge draw. Many different types of vendors filled the ballroom carrying Christmas decor, wreaths, jewelry, clothing, wool mittens, woodworking projects, signs, candles, crocheted items, lap blankets, floral arrangements and much more. There truly was something for most anyone's interest and many gift ideas. In the future I would like to take an official tour and checkout pricing for a yearly event I'm involved with. Pipers at the Marott was not even on my radar, when initially searching for venues for a wedding. I was looking for something upscale, classy, and looked vintage. I recently moved to Indianapolis and happen to be driving by one day. I noticed that this beautiful, twin brick building mentioned it provided catering services and had to inquire. Pipers had everything I was looking for, and the best part of it all, it came with Ashley, the sales & catering manager. She really was incredible. She was very fast to respond to all emails I sent and helped me through the (very emotional) process of planning my own wedding. With her help, I felt confident that I didn't need to hire a full-time planner because she was so on top of it. Pipers has in-house catering, the venue, service, and will provide dessert. Formerly a church built in 1882 by a German architect, I'm thrilled to see that this place has been restored into a gorgeous events venue. They host lots of weddings, performances (there's a large stage upstairs), and social events in the space. When we arrived to set up for our Yelp event, they had all of the indoor twinkle lights turned on and it gave the venue a super-cozy, glowy feel. The ornate wood and tall ceilings create a unique atmosphere for your next event. There were plenty of outlets and also a pull-down screen in the main room if you want to have a corporate logo, wedding photos, etc projected during your event. There's also an upstairs that is expansive. There's a big stage and tons of chairs and stained glass. This is where ceremonies and performances are often held. Because it's a historic venue, it is not ADA accessible, so that is something to note based on your attendees. However, they do have incredible amenities like massive, gorgeous bathrooms, a bride room, a groomsmen 'man cave' room, and more. The owners are super kind and helpful as well.

It's easy to see why this would be a wedding venue. Not sure it's the greatest location for a Candlelight Concert. The other attendees kept getting up during the show and because the building is older, you could hear every creak in the floor as they walked. I did think the size of the room was perfect for this type of show. Street parking was easy right outside and I appreciated that as well.
