3/24- So happy we carved out time to visit this cozy Italian spot in Harlem. We didn't have a lot of time before closing and staff was still super welcoming. The restaurant was full on a Friday night and music flowing. Vibes! Our waiter did a great job highlighting different items on the menu. For starters, we ordered the baked little neck clams and fried mozzarella. Delicious and each item had a lovely texture. We submitted our main orders about 15 min later. My family ordered the penne funghi then added chicken breast. I ordered the margherita pizza. Everything was fantastic including my drink!! Came for dinner with friends on a Saturday night... dinner was delicious! It was my first time there for a friend's bday. The place was cute dark and casual. Nothing fancy but the vibes were so cool and chill. The service was great. We had the Cesar Kale Salad as an appetizer to share and it was my favorite thing on the menu! We also shared a vodka pizza which was really good too. My main entree was the chicken parm which was amazing, The server was very attentive... kept our drinks going both water and cocktails...My drink of choice was called Perla - spicy cucumber margarita ... so so good'. This is my go to place for delivery. Their food is delicious, especially the penne vodka. It is so flavorful. Honestly, in person is way better and the restaurant is gorgeous so I highly recommend coming here for a date night or with a group of friends. The only reason they lose a star is usually on my orders for delivery, they tend to forget the sides of grated cheese that you have to pay to receive (I usually get 2 since I get to penne vodkas) and the penne can use a little more sauce. I have come many time to Fumo and it is ok. This time; I came for lunch and it was great. First their lunch deal is great, I ordered the baked ziti with meatballs and it was quite delicious. The lunch special is a steal; the portions are big and the food is good. The service was great the person was very nice and attentive. The place is a great space; you can come with anyone a date; family; colleagues etc. It is a little loud because voices carry but I don't mind that because I know my voice carries. Had an awesome experience dining here on a Tuesday. We came in 7 deep with a reservation and seated with the swiftness. The spot was bustling! The air was filled with low toned chatter, glass clicking and forks scrapping. Music to my ears. The wine was flowing and plenty of plate sharing going on. Every dish was hitting the spot. I loved everything I ate here! The funghi pizza was delicious, the dough was soft and chewy. The baby spinach salad was also so good, the pecans were the perfect touch. Yummy and cute Italian place in Harlem with some great deals! We came on a Monday which was 50% off bottles of wine after their happy hour. Must get the kale Caesar salad- it was so good! The complimentary bread was a nice treat. I got the clam pasta which is always my go-to. This one was solid. Had a great night here, I seen a video of someone getting a lemon drop and immediately wanted to try it. It's alil tight inside, I think because they want to accommodate as many people as possible. Grateful they let us sit at a 4 person table, much more comfortable and enough space For our food and drinks. I got the penne allá vodka dinner and it was delicious, just alil dry so I asked if the chef could give me alil more sauce and surprisingly they did and that made it much better. Hubby got the lobster dish and added meatballs, great addition. They were not stingy on the parm cheese Oh! And the baked clammssssss, get them!!! I love Fumo as a restaurant! This was my first time going to the Harlem location and it was really good. it was for my best friend's birthday dinner, it was everyone's first time other than myself. Our waitress was really nice, very attentive where she checked on us a good amount but wasn't too attentive. Music is always great, they never miss! Lol we got the fried mozzarella as an app for the table, everyone loved those. I got the penne al la vodka, which is my favorite from Fumo! Ugh so good!! I did have the watermelon margarita, which was also delicious, with a sugar rim of course. we got a brownie for my best friend's birthday and she loved it! I've been to Fumo three times so far and I always get their spaghetti carbonara for their lunch special. It's just so yummy, creamy, and cheesy. I would love to try their vegan pesto spaghetti next time since I should probably branch out and try something different LOL. Service has always been great and there's even a bathroom here! If you dine in, the servers even give you complimentary bread with olive oil for dipping. Personally, I'm not a fan of dipping bread in olive oil but my friend loves it. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. They have several locations around but my favorite is the one in Harlem and UWS. All the dishes over tried have been delicious. The eggplant Parmesan, truffle pasta, carbonara pasta, rice balls, calamari, salads, I could go on. The drinks are also pretty solid, although I usually get wine. The space and ambiance is always lively and usually packed so I suggest making reservations beforehand. A solid choice for a group dinner. read more

Fumo has some of the best well seasoned food I've almost ever had from an Italian restaurant. Everything I've tried so far has been mouth watering. I have eaten in the establishment and ordered via DoorDash and the quality of food has remained consistent. The decor is cute and clean. The plants add a homey feel. The reason I have given it 3 stars is because of how I saw what I believe to be the restaurant manager treat a new server. He was extremely disrespectful and nasty towards her. He yelled at her in the kitchen which was near where I was sitting and made her cry. It was her first day and she may have just needed more training. Not only was he rude but he also was drinking on the job...probably contributed to his behavior. I truly commend the server for not walking out immediately. Seeing this in real time ruined my friend and I's appetite. The restaurant manager (I believe) does not speak for the entire restaurant but I do firmly believe that staff should be treated fairly and like human beings. The food is delicious but the treatment of staff should improve so create a better experience for everyone. read more

I came in for lunch on Friday. The Parma pizza was delicious! The prosciutto was very flavorful and played so well with the cheese and truffle oil. My only complaint was that it slid off the pizza crust and was a little messy. My branzino was a beautiful portion accompanied with plenty of sautéed spinach. I love Fumo! Definitely go for the food. The lobster pasta is my favorite! Claims are to die for and the spicy calamari is a 10/10. Today, for the first time I experienced some nasty serving techniques from MAYDALI R. we opted for tap water bc we were ordering drinks. I watched this young lady combine two used carafes of water from previous tables and bring it to mine. There was Smtg even floating in it. For the life of me idk why I didn't say anything. I told her we didn't want it and to bring me bottle water. I cannot believe she did that!! Especially with so many germs being transmitted. I was disgusted. I truly hope she is reprimanded. Cute spacious Italian restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. I came for late lunch during the weekday so it wasn't that busy. They have a weekday lunch deal of $12 pasta and also for all day on Tuesday. I got the spaghetti vongole and it tastes good with a good amount of clams. What a great find. My friend recommended this place for brunch. He made a RSVP for Saturday at 1:30; easy online. We arrived as scheduled and the staff were friendly and attentive. What a treat to have bottomless mimosas at a reasonable price! Their burger comes with a side of delicious truffle fries (you can also opt for their greens if you want). We were there and chatting for a good two hours, and it was such a lovely setting for food and catching up. The bathroom was actually kinda nice: all black, even the toilet. Fumo is a very intimate setting, perfect for a catch up with a friend or for a date. Also accessible via the bus. A Train was a little bit of a walk. On a Saturday evening it was a bit on the busier side. My waiter was nice and helpful in making my decision. The food was pretty good. I had the Rigatoni Gamberi. I just didn't like how soupy the sauce was. I hoped for it to be a little on the creamier side. The calamari was pretty okay too. There's only one bathroom in the restaurant so take that however you'd like. All in all, I enjoyed my time there and I would go back. read more

I'm not sure how they set up the prefix menu for the event , but what I can't talk about is the food for starters we were served this bread with diced tomatoes on it, which was so fresh and delicious paired with meatballs, which was also very fresh delicious. For the entrée we had bread pudding, which was phenomenal at first I thought it was French toast when I saw it, but once I bit into it, it was bread pudding. It was so good. The chicken and waffles was amazing. The chicken was like chicken tenders, but it was flavorful delicious the waffle batter recipe was so good and it was paired with fresh fruit such as berry, strawberries, and banana that was so good. I'm conflicted about this restaurant. It's in my neighborhood so it's very convenient. The food is very good the place is very cute. The service is the problem for me. I feel rushed they come to the table 10 times to take stuff from the table asking if your done every other second. I had a conversation with someone from the staff, and they agree it's too much but that's whet management forces them to do. My other issue is how dark & dirty the restrooms are every time i go. They need to focus more on that and let you enjoy your food without all the interruptions and rush to get us out. The bar service is great. Bartenders and drinks are amazing. read more

A little disappointed. Their paper menus aren't up to date. I ordered the Fumo spritz which on the menu is elderflower, but got the grapefruit drink in the photo. The online menu lists the Fumo spritz as grapefruit so that must be the more updated menu. Basically paid $15 for a drink I didn't want. read more
