CLERMONT FINALLY has a LEGIT Cuban restaurant. For the longest, Clermont residents have had to suffer from lackluster options and Fumao shines. This brand new cafe sits in the heart of downtown and is open from 8am-2pm. They have a number of different pastelitos and sandwhiches as well as coffees. They opened just this past week and the staff is still being trained but they are doing a great job and I'm looking forward to them growing!

My wife and I have tried to come here 3 times already and finally grabbed some Pastelitos. It wasn't lunch yet so we didn't want Cuban sandwiches etc. We didn't see a breakfast menu but that's fine. However they had tostada ( toasted Cuban bread with melted butter) / we decided on getting the guava and guava and cheese Pastelitos. It was a bit expensive and it was just okay. Service was a little disorganized and the ambiance was average cafe style. Cheers

Fumao Cuban Cafeteria (Fumao Table) - Clermont Tasty, real heart-of-Miami flavors that bring you straight back to Cuba. Pedro and the family have struck gold with this spot. Glad we get to enjoy this delicious eatery right here in downtown Clermont. Authentic street-food vibes, solid croquetas, sandwiches, and cafecito--definitely worth a visit.

This is the crap they sell. Crocketta sandwich where's the Crocketta? Wouldn't waste my $$ @ this shit hole. Definitely not cuban.

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

On the Sunday afternoon I visited they were offering ox tail and served many soul food favorites. They had so many good options I honestly wanted to try it all. I settled on the baked chicken lunch. BBQ chicken was a daily special and they allowed me to get half baked and half BBQ. The chicken was moist and the seasoning was tasty. I really like that the daily specials have two sizes, lunch and dinner, to fit your appetite. For sides I chose the fried okra. These crisp bites had just the right amount of seasoning so they were not all texture. Okra was the star of my plate. I also got the mac n' cheese. It was a tough decision because I also wanted to try the cabbage, green beans or northern beans sides. I would go back for the okra alone. My meal came with a slice of home made cornbread. They had two of my favorite desserts. Banana pudding and peach cobbler so I tried both. The banana pudding with the Nilla wafers and pieces of banana was perfect without any fake banana flavor. The peach cobbler was the best I have had in a long time. My cobbler was not too sweet and just full of peaches. There was no skimping on the fruit and the ratio of peaches to cake was 3 to 2. Cotton's Kitchen decor reminds me of a diner but the clean white, black and red dining room is anything but old. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You order at a counter and they bring your food to the table. The staff was really attentive and checked back frequently to see if I needed anything. They offer daily specials, sides and featured items. I noticed quite a few customers ordering family sized meals to go. They had a lot of regular customers they had a relationship with and overall the vibe was vibing. There is a small parking lot and on street parking as well. The restaurant is about 2 blocks from Leesburg's Venetian Park which might be a good way to walk off the calories. I went to a show at Melon Patch Players less than a half mile away. I can't wait to try the smothered pork chops or just a plate full of sides.
