The girl at the front was super helpful with getting my order since I had ordered from my phone. I was thrilled when they gave me my drink and it looked exactly like what I had seen on Instagram! The presentation was great, the inside was smeared with marshmallow fluff in the top had graham cracker crumbs on top. The drink itself was pretty good too,definitely super chocolatey and rich! I got an extra shot of espresso, which helped balance out the flavor a lot. The drink was exactly what I wanted and was advertised. Each item was wrapped separately and we were given three paper bags. The croissant was just like the ones we have had in France. It was crispy outside and so soft inside. The almond croissants had just the perfect amount of filling and topping. The cheese buns tasted so fresh and soft. We ended up returning a few days later. The lady who helped us this time didn't appear for some time. We stood alone in the front of the store for several minutes. She had us repeat our order three times, and again as she was throwing everything into one bag. It was such a different experience than our first visit. The almond topping got all over the cheese buns and plain croissant due to her jamming all six items into one bag. It is such a viral spot everyone is coming here for the experience to see a spot that a proper sickly Victorian-era child ghost could haunt. But smart customers get the cake, not the cookies. When you get the cake slice, verify that you have plastic cutlery and napkin before leaving the store, otherwise you are going to need to Kirby-inhale it. Service begins where you order at the counter and they give you a table number so they can bring your food to your table. We ordered a Vanilla Frappe ($6.49), 2 Hamlinccino Iced Lattes ($6.25 each), cup of Tomato Basil Soup ($3.99) Cup of French onion soup ($3.99), Croque Monsieur with potatoes ($11.99), Tuna Salad ($12.99), Classic Benedict with potatoes ($12.99)Tiramisu Cup ($16.99), Creme Brûlée ($7.99). The drinks were all very nice. I ordered my Hamlinccino half sweet as flavored lattes are always too sweet for me. The soups were excellent. The French Onion was a bit more salty than I prefer but I am anti-salt....so for most people it's probably just right. The Croque Monsieur is tasty and the potatoes it is served with are excellently cooked crisp and seasoned. The Tuna Salad is a decent size without being too overly large. The Benedict is served on a croissant and has bacon. Very tasty with perfect potatoes. The desserts are excellently cooked crisp. The creme brûlée was perfect. The Tiramisu Cup is traditional tiramisu served in an edible chocolate coffee cup and while it is pricey, it is so very tasty....one of the best I've had and recommend. We shared this among two of us. The dining room is nice, not too large and there is outdoor patio seating also. I will say, when you walk in there are menu boards above the cashiers and the print is pretty small. I can see pretty well but couldn't read them. They do have printed menus on the counter but between the small print and the color that the words are printed in and the colored background they are on, this was also challenging to read. The only thing I would say is that the space felt a little small and cramped. I think they could put a little more into the interior and atmosphere to really make it feel more special and French-inspired. The food definitely delivered but I was hoping for a slightly cuter and more immersive café experience. Overall though we really enjoyed it and I would definitely come back to try more of the menu!
