I would like not to place a rating because the future will tell. Nice service and courteous. However, before you commit to buy -unless you are an expert- take some notes about what you might like and the price asked. When you end up paying about 25% more than a high price online and 40% more than a low price online, then you will need to go away with your notes to do your homework, come back, and, bargain before you buy. Better to be a bit japanese here, one error is on me, second error means not coming back and another dealer will earn more acceptable commisions for many many sales. Given the rate of inflation, my call is going even on the investment will happen in 3 to 5 years. There was some learning that occured though. read more

I walked into this establishment, and the guy behind the counter started yelling that there are too many people in here, and that he's nervous and that he's been beaten up before. He was literally standing next to his security guard, but created a huge and embarrassing scene when I walked in to inquire about the sale of a gold coin, after I was referred by a jewelry in the neighboring city. I've never received such terrible treatment, he was very unprofessional, and rude. I was humiliated by just walking into an establishment. Never again. read more

I walked in here yesterday and walked out with some silver eagles for only $2.50 over spot. The shop is slightly cramped, but they have a LOT of coins of all sorts. Good place to find some silver and gold bullion. The store is ancient. Looks like they've been open for decades. I'm surprised that there aren't more Yelp reviews about this place. read more

This Coin and Stamp store is pretty cool. Although I think it would be nice if I could see the owner there once in awhile His worker, David is very knowledgable and helpful. It is difficult not to find something to buy. I like his buy board, supplies, Coin books and of course the coins. When I have more time I would like see the stamps too! Had a coun i wanted to sell and knew pretty much what it wad worth. I went in saying i found it in my garage and knew nothing about it. He weighs it and tells me its worth $18 so pretty much just paying me for the oz of silver..coun is worth from $60-$110 depending on mint.. David is a lying prick. Seriously, new buyers stay away. I caught him in his own lie. I asked what spot price was at.... he said $16.00..... I've been investing in silver and gold so I know what spot price is at daily . It was at $13.06 when I called in and he wanted to charge me $2.50 $16.00. What a dishonest dealer. I stopped in to see what my local coin shop had to offer. I was impressed by the quantity of coins and bills. The owner was nice and helpful. I picked up some silver rounds and a proof set for exactly the same price that they are selling for on the big online shops and ebay. I prefer the in-person buying experience and the unique selection. Plus I get to support a local small business and take home the goods right away. Coins there are overpriced. Tried to sell me a cleaned barber dime for $250 when you can buy a graded problem free coin for less money. I understand the guy needs to pay his bills and everything, but this is just unreasonable.Owner is always pissed off. Would not go back. read more

BEWARE OF OWNER! I have never encountered such a Rude Bussiness owner in my life and am quite shocked! I truly believe he spoke to me the way he did because I am a woman. He certainly would not have gotten away with his behavior if I was a man. Approaching my Vehicle in a threatening manner. Had a sign stating that silver rounds were 2.50 above spot. I was charged 4.50 over spot. Also, they don't allow the use of cell phones in the store, an attempt to keep people from checking spot prices. There are better and more trustworthy coin shops in the area. read more

I spoke with David over the phone about a 1992 $25 gold eagle quarter oz. valued at $1350 on the gray sheet he said he would offer me $1280 for it so I agreed to sell it to him. I then drove 65 miles to Fullerton from Yucaipa when I get there he says he wants to check with his friend on the price after talking with his friend he says he can only offer me $800 for the coin, needless to say I was angry and wouldn't sell anything to him ever in life. I was offered over a $1000 for it elsewhere so I took it there. I'm wondering is bait and switch S.O.P for this place I think so however I'll never go there again to find out. Beware of David at the very least he's incompetent if not dishonest. read more

Bill Pannier use to be the owner until he passed away a couple of years ago. He was a grumpy old man but he was honest and firm. He would always give me a good deal and was very competitive with the other coin shops like Bob Patchin's Coin Gallery. Now the guy running the place is over pricing everything. I'm not sure if it's him or the new owner that has run up the price. I recently went to Bob Patchin's & bought some Eisenhower dollars for $1.10. I went to Fullerton Coins & stamps and the same coins where selling for $1.30. Other items like $1 silver certificates in bad condition, where selling for $1.95 each. Patchin's had better quality silver certificates for less. I miss the old man and his conversations. Too bad he loved to smoke 20 packs a day. read more
