The whole interaction felt like he assumed we knew nothing about cards and that he knew everything, which made for a very uncomfortable experience. On top of that, the offers we received felt extremely low. I understand that a card shop needs to make a profit when buying cards, but there's a difference between making a reasonable offer and making someone feel like they're being taken advantage of. More than anything, it was the attitude that turned us off. You can disagree on a card's value without talking down to people. We definitely won't be coming back.

Even though I live about 30 minutes away, the drive was absolutely worth it. The prerelease event was fantastic, and everyone was welcoming, helpful, and friendly, making the entire experience enjoyable. I also picked up a few additional items I had been looking for, and I was impressed by the wide variety of products available. They offer a great selection of trading card games, accessories, and supplies, as well as tabletop gaming products for D&D, Warhammer, and much more. I'll definitely be coming back for future events and purchases. Whether you're a casual player or a dedicated tabletop gaming enthusiast, this shop is well worth the visit. Highly recommend!

So I'm new to the world of tabletop gaming, but I have some friends who are long-time Dungeons and…read moreDragons and Pathfinder players, as well as a lot of other adult board games. Adult meaning in terms of complexity. So, when I was brought here on their recommendation to find a popular but still niche game called Ruins of Arnak. I was impressed that they had it when it was out of stock online at many places. They have all the board games you could dream of, including ones that you can't find easily on places like Amazon. As well as a huge and active play area that had a bunch of people playing games and campaigns on the night that we went. They're open late, so it's easy to go there after work. They even have Gunpla, which are like Gundam models, so like giant robot anime models, figures from things like Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z, a large selection of Pokémon cards and other trading card games like Magic the Gathering, One Piece, etc. They also had a lot of booster boxes, which shows me that they aren't giving into scalpers, which is extremely rare. So, you might actually be able to get product here, which for Pokemon especially is crazy. Given the market. Service was excellent, if not a little understaffed. It was a bit of a line to get my game. So it's clear that people actually running this shop care about the community and not just about pure profit. I know it might be a little bit inconvenient comparing to an overnight Amazon shipped board game, but please go here. Niche shops like this, especially ones that are actually doing well and cater to nerdy hobbies when we've all gotten so lazy, are really amazing... and honestly, the play area kind of felt like a third space to hang out. Shuffle and Cut, I couldn't be more impressed, and I wish for your continued success. Clearly, based on the size of the shop and the amount of people I saw on a Friday night, you're enjoying at least some of it.

They have a wide selection of other board games and accessories too. They also have a library of Magic the Gathering and Pokemon singles. Their price points are comparable to what you might find on ebay, so minus the shipping and the wait of buying online, this place is superior. I don't want to get anyone who works at the store in trouble for doing their job, but the more approachable guys are the taller ones or whoever is working at register 3. The shorter dudes come with shorter attitudes. Lastly, they do a TON of game nights, do a lot of promotions, and have a lot of space!

Nothing like Game Stop actually lol My husband is familiar with Warhammar. This is a totally new concept to me though! Warhammar is a hobby that involves creating models to build your army. At least, that is my takeaway from talking to the employee. He was explaining to us how it works. So, you buy the miniature pieces and then you can pain them however you want. Then you add the miniatures together to create your army. Your friends do the same process, and then you "battle" their army. It is pretty cool. I can see how this could get very expensive though lol My husband has an addictive personality, so he is not allowed to get into this hobby LOL Would be too expensive. The pieces are really cool though. They sell different sets, and some from popular movies like Lord of the Rings! Definitely check this out if you are into creating models.

But instead, the kids they hire behind the counter acted like helping us was the biggest inconvenience in the world. If you're charging premium prices, then act like a premium business. Smile, interact with the kids, make them excited. My daughter was more excited than the employee working there. If you're going to treat customers like it's Burger King, then charge Burger King prices. Don't charge luxury prices for an experience that feels like nobody wants to be there. The slime was fine, but customer service is part of what you're paying for, and that part completely missed the mark. I won't be back unless they start hiring people who actually enjoy working with kids. Weak spot

We, as a family, did our best to organize, sort, and hopefully price out a large chunk of the collection as we don't consider these coins sentimental enough to keep (nor do we have the room). After visiting multiple coin shops, online forums, pricing and collecting websites, we were still nervous about selling any part of the collection (the inherent nature of buying/selling is to always be sure on what you have, and what it's worth). I strolled into OC Rare Coin after placing a quick call letting them know my situation. I was greeted by the friendliest of people! I forget the gentleman's name there who is their Photographer, but he is an absolute joy. Granted there is usually a bit of a wait, given the small staff and high-volume industry, but that has never been a problem for me given the positive atmosphere and ease of non-currency related conversation. It was the first time that knowing I was a noobie didn't seem to be something i should to worry about. Finally I got my sit down with Dennis, he laid everything I brought out on a table, he explained exactly what he was looking for with each category, he showed me his pricing book as we went along, he informed me on what was worth it's weight it silver, what was collectible, the grades of things, etc. All in all he went miles out of his way to be clear, fair, and efficient. He encouraged me to seek appraisals elsewhere, and to do my research before making any decisions, which is normally unheard of in the coin industry. This was the first time I had left a coin store without feeling "maybe I just got taken advantage of", nope, not here. I left with knowledge, confidence, and honestly wishing I had more reason to return. Just an absolute joy to come here, and I look forward to returning. Thank you Dennis, and everyone at OC Rare Coin for being honest, fair, and transparent in an industry where profit margins are normally the priority. - L
