Great Day Date place for families, team building, hanging out, or having a league! The last time I visited, I brought along a group of 9. We had the day passes for karts and axe throwing. We did pay for some additional VR gaming - which is something you should really do! This was an add on per person. The facility has self check in and group videos to watch for pre race requirements. Staff is amazing and so incredibly helpful Helpful suggestions: Closed toe shoes are required Bring a hair tie for long hair - no clips if racing as the helmet won't fit Bring a lock for the lockers or rent one there Be prepared to wait a few minutes if/when you order from the bar Bar is limited but has enough for beers on tap, cocktails, and soda drinks plus apps Note: the race track is warm during hot days. Lack of training on staff members as they seemed to not know much about each activity. We paid for axe throwing which ended up being rigged because the board was supposed to get watered down but the staff did not do so until we made a comment. We requested a refund for half of the time, but was denied. We then paid for VR, 2 of 4 setups were broke so our party of 4 could not play together. My harness was not at the proper height or size which caused me to fall during the game because it came apart. The bartender was gone for a period of time which lead several customers including our party to wait on food and drink. There was 1 single trash can in the whole facility and the bag was fallen in. A good change of management and proper training for staff could go a long way for this location. read more

Giving at least one star because the staff were nice but would be zero stars due to the following; -We paid for an hour of axe throwing but no matter how many times we threw, the axe would bounce back. After 30 mins, a staff member told us the boards were supposed to be watered down to soften and gave us another axe-- still didn't work so we cancelled our game after 40 mins of trying. -You have to pay for time plus items for the rage room. -There was no one behind the bar for any drinks/food for around 30 mins so we couldn't even get wagers. -2 out of the 4 virtual reality machines were broken so our party of 4 couldn't participate together. The staff denied any discounts, refunds or compensation for the axe throwing inconvenience and VR breakdown. Overall would not recommend as wait times were forever, staff seemed to lack training on the machine set up, and service was subpar. read more

Paid for the 2 hour unlimited races. Some kid breaks the wall and we're all out of 30 mins. They added 30 mins to our time but also offered axe throwing. My girl friend and I didn't want axe throwing and she had one more alcoholic beverage to have so I asked to have that comped instead. They refused. After trying to work with them and the track being opened they then deliberately made us wait another 30 min before we could race again. At full throttle, they throttle how often you can race if they dislike you. Complete bs and will not be here again. As a business who offers two hour for unlimited races it's a cash grab for them. Our 14 year old and friends had a great night go carting and axe throwing. Perfect place for a birthday party. Lots of action and plenty to do. Sometimes it's hard to find a place for the 12 to 15 year old crowd; lots of places are for kids and then other just adults. Full throttle was the perfect mix and everyone had an awesome evening. Making reservations on-line was simple and the entire staff was ready for us when we arrived. John and Julia, as well as everyone else were wonderful. They all made sure we had a great experience. And it's all indoors so weather be damned. You're gonna wanna do this first before you drink. Oh. But then beers! And axes! Yes, you can do it in that order bishes! We were recently in town visiting the Ark for my son's 16th bday. We stopped in at 5pm on a Monday. The employees were great. Super helpful. I didn't have closed toe shoes and one found me a pair. We purchased 4 adrenaline passes which gave us 2 hours of karts and axe throwing. It cost us $250. We had fun but it's waaaaayyyy overpriced. I spent more here than I did for 2 whole days at the ark and creation museum. read more

The Full Throttle in Florence is an incredible location. The staff there is so friendly and so accommodating. I have become a bit of a regular and I have loved the service received every single time I have been there. I am a bit picky when it comes to which kart I like or which heat to be thrown into, but the staff always accommodates me the best they can, happily. My only complaint is that the quickest karts are often out of commission and under construction. They say all the karts drive the same but there are definitely a lot of karts that have more issues than others. I also have called their phone number a few times and left a couple of voicemails that were never returned. Other than that, this location is perfect and I am so grateful. read more

Legitimately the fastest go carts I have ever driven! They go up to about 40 mph and the track is fairly large. I had an exhilarating experience. We went as part of a retreat team building experience at work and what a good choice! There was smack talking, highly competitive people, and something other than WORK to bring us all together. I won both of the races we had with a track time of 27 seconds and a gold medal. Nothing like being able to back up all of the smack you talk eh? I'd go back and do this again for sure. Stopped here on a night out driving back from Cincinnati. We were a group of 9 people and they were considerate enough to separate us into two groups when we asked cos we did not want the track too crowded. The track was pretty okay. The helmet and safety gear were all in good condition. The people working there were helpful. We paid about $22 per head for an eight minute race which is a little on the steeper side. There's only so much one can do when the temperature is freezing and this go kart did not disappoint. read more

Overall good experience, but 3 stars based on a few factors. First is the pricing. I attended with my 9 year old son, so we were restricted to "Junior karts". For just one ride it's $19 dollars. Rides are quoted at 8 minutes but I didn't time it to confirm. However I can tell you it didn't seem to last that long. We did the "deal" at $43 for three rides each. After the $5.00 coupon we paid $80 and change for each of us. Second issue is the fact my car didn't work well on the first ride, but the young kids working didn't offer anything more than an apology. Lastly, the overall experience was bland. No excitement for my little boy aside from the ride itself. There is noting beyond getting in the car and driving. They don't play music, no audio, no announcements, etc. They do offer print outs if your stats afterwards. However, I had to ask. They didn't offer or make it known. read more

What was suppose to be a great night for a party of 6 for a sweet 16 birthday celebration turned horrible . It was all of ours first time at Full Throttle so to say we were excited was an understatement. When we arrived we went to the ticket counter to purchase our race tickets we were informed our race number was 86 and we had to watch an instructional safety video . We learned about the helmets and slip covers! The race number was on 79 so to buy us some time, we decided to do the ax throwing, that was fun! We try to get drinks from the bar, but the bartender was also the manager and was working the races so they were understaff which wasn't a problem we understood but when it was our time to race our party went into the equipment room there was a bunch of helmets with sizes and we thought it was strange some of the helmets were warm. We found our sizes and as we were putting them on I noticed a powerful smell of sweat .. I quickly took off my helmet and was asking my party where is the slip covers for our heads? I see a laundry basket with slip covers and I picked one up and got blinded by the smell of sweat. I quickly dropped the slip cover back in the laundry basket and that's when a boy about 12/13 years of age came in the equipment room and he was putting his helmet on the shelf and I asked him if he just finished racing which he replied yes! I put my helmet on the shelf and said disgusting!!! The boy was confused, so I had to make sure he knew I wasn't talking about him. I went back to the ticket counter with my party and asked the young man working the counter why the helmet room is dirty and why haven't they been sanitizing the helmets? I asked him about the slip covers being dirty and where the new ones was? he replied they been having trouble getting new slip covers in and I said I want a refund .. he got the Manager/bartender/race coordinator and she asked if she could help and I said yes I would like a refund bc this place doesn't sanitize enclosed helmets .. people can be sick and coughing, while driving and the next innocent person could put that same helmet on and breathe in all those germs and with the flu and COVID going around people could get really sick or even die. She replied yes I understand but we are short staff to which I said I understand that I really do but with the amount of money we just paid $400 I expect a clean sanitize helmet, and if you can't provide that then, maybe you should not be open for business.. she refunded us and asked if she can do anything to make this better like give us free passes for the week day but I informed her that I would never come back to this business ever again.. I sit here and wonder the next morning how long has those enclosed helmets have been reused over and over without being sanitized? I can't stop itching my scalp in disgust hoping and praying they didn't give me or my party head lice/COVID/flu . If I could give negative stars I would bc they don't deserve the 1 star rating from me . read more

This is for the ax throwing. They have a very poor reservation system. We started with two lanes and halfway through our time they moved our party of 9 to one lane. We had to stop our game (100) that they encouraged us to play as two teams. There were then 9 people standing behind one lane and one of the staff people kept on moving into our group. They really need to figure out how to run this portion of their business. This is the 3rd ax throwing space and I have been to and was, by far, the worst. Additionally you are supposed to have a "coach". He disappeared 10 minutes into our time and only came back to move us. read more

We took our girls here today and had so much fun! I have to say the crew, all of them, were so helpful and so nice!! Taylor was especially sweet and recognized that it was the girls' first time. She came out to the course with us to ensure the girls were comfortable (in a mostly male environment- girl power ). I took my son and some friends here for his birthday because he likes driving go-karts. The employees did an excellent job taking care of the kids and Joe specifically was very patient with them and accommodating. We went on a Sunday, it was not very busy and they were able to get in about 8 races in a 2-hour time frame. I work as an airline pilot and always struggle finding things to do on very short overnights when we don't stay downtown. Decided to walk over to Full Throttle for go kart racing and was not disappointed. Staff was super friendly. I went in for 2-3 races and wound up staying for 6.
