I did a private tour with Craft Connection for the bachelorette party for my soon to be sister-in-law. I wasn't looking forward to the experience at all because 1) I don't drink, 2) I'm an introvert, and 3) the only people I would know going into this experience were my sister and the bride-to-be. I truly expected this to be the worst way to spend a Saturday night, not to mention, the price for the non-drinker like myself was still expensive at $35. I was in for a pleasant surprise. Our tour guide John arrived right on time at our starting point, came into the house, had us all sign a waiver, and put us on the bus. The bus comfortably sat all 12 of us with a couple of open seats. John explained the rules of the bus: most of the rules would not be strictly enforced with the exception of one - absolutely no Justin Bieber songs were to be played. Inside the bus was a cooler with little water bottles (help yourself!) and also served as the place to put any beer brought on board. Pro-tip: If you're into that kind of thing, bringing beer onboard the bus is highly encouraged to keep the party going. There was also a small cabinet on the bus with snacks inside (again, help yourself!) but another pro-tip is to bring snacks along because there will be a lot of beer consumed and you will definitely want some food on your stomach. On each of the seats was a green cup, which was to serve as our beer cup at each of the three breweries we were about to visit. Before we left for our first destination, John appointed a DJ and had her connect her phone to the bluetooth to have some tunes for the ride. Our three destinations were Blank Slate, 50 West, and Rheingeist. At each of the breweries, John picked the first 3 beers based on what he likes, what is easy to drink, what the brewery is known for, or based on what he thinks the group collectively will like. The first three beers are presented in a pitcher, and John pour for everyone and gives a brief explanation of the chosen beer and the flavors you will taste. At each location we were also treated to a brief behind the scenes experience where we learned a little bit about the brewing process. We were also given plenty of time at each brewery to sit and socialize and enjoy the flavors of the beers. The fourth beer was chosen by someone in the group and filled into a growler, to be consumed on the bus on the way to the next stop. PLEASE do not forget to bring your ID - some of the breweries might require photo ID to enter (I'm looking at you Rheingeist) and if you don't show your ID you aren't allowed to drink inside the brewery. At the end of the tour, the bus will drop you off at whatever location you choose: back home where the party started or at a separate location to keep the party going. I cannot say enough good things about John. He was filled to the brim with personality and extremely quick witted. I was also impressed with his vast knowledge of beer, in general, as well as the brewing processes. I might have learned a thing or two from him. John treated all of us as old friends and was participating in all of the festivities, including a super hilarious bachelorette party game. I'm pretty sure he had as much fun as our group did!

They also canceled our reservation less than a month away from our party because they "couldn't find us a driver". Don't waste your time with them, go straight to Craft Connection, they're amazing!

We are awful patrons as we showed up late and had to leave early due to a babysitting situation. I figured there would be instruction and tips and an open forum for questions. And I believe there was all of that, however, nothing that I could actually hear. The woman instructing was very sweet and friendly and put in a bad situation where the room that she reserved was not available or some failing occurred. Everyone should have been given the choice to re-schedule as no one at our table could hear anything. We were asked often if we could hear and every time I shook my head indicating I could not hear but yet she still spent all her time at the other table with a few attempts to come closer to our table when a question/answer session started. It became SO frustrating not being able to hear that I tuned out hoping we'd get home in Time for the sitter, wishing I could just get the supplies and finish in my comfortable, quiet home with no equines within 6 feet of me. The people at my table were complaining about the 11$ fee on top of the Groupon fee... young professionals feeling like they got ripped off isn't a way to inspire repeat business... IF THERES A FEE include it in a higher Groupon price so people don't go into it feeling ripped off or leaving feeling even worse when the experience was a failure. I had forgotten that fee but the young professionals had not. Skip the plant nite... even if everything has been as it should have been I believe this group on Would have been a failure either way and I would never recommend or do again... the conservatory has free workshops all the time and often you take things home with you... all for less (admission is 4$) then the "additional fee" with this company

It allows you to check out a place you might otherwise have never visited which makes it super easy to surprise someone. Guys, make the reservations online and take your lady out to dinner or for drinks and surprise her when the painting party starts! Our facilitator was Rachel and she was awesome. She dumbed it down enough that even I felt like I was doing okay! The fact that they visit different places to hold the parties is probably the reason why there are so few reviews here but the night I went if we had all reviewed there would be twenty more 5 star reviews on here. We all had a good time and it was fun meeting new people and going outside my comfort zone to do something new. Will definitely do this again!

You can book your reservations online however we decided to pay up at the desk due to the weather. Didn't know if it was going to rain but it turned out to be a gorgeous day. First it is required to sign a waiver then you check in. There are several options. You can choose between the 2,3,6 or 8.5 mile trek. You can rent tandem kayak, single kayak or canoe. We opted for the tandem kayak $86.00 for the both of us and we did the 6 mile round trip. You pick your life jacket, wait for your name to be called out and you take a bus. From there they will drop you off depending on what mile marker you chose. The staff makes sure to explain where to not go and when you have to be back. Make sure you are back by 7:00 pm. Once you get to the river you pick your paddle and kayak/canoe and off you go. You may hit some rough shallow spots but for the most part, it was smooth sailing. Make sure to pack a small cooler for your drinks. Stay hydrated. We also kayaked to Little Miami Brewing and had a couple of libations. That was fun! Overall the whole experience was great and I had a blast. Coming back the staff was super friendly, helpful and laid back. I would definitely come back. This place rocks.

The…read morepanel is comprised of local actors, producers, arts managers, theater critics, students, and loyal fans. They really come from every angle of the business. Every year they choose the best of the best and the winners are recognized at the end of the season at the Acclaim Awards ceremony. The Acclaim committee also offers many grants and scholarships to the deserving community. They have a rising star award that offers $1000 to a Cincinnati Theater artist who is under 25. They offer grants to anyone who has one an acclaim award in the past for future endeavors. They offer an award to a theater educator every year from area high schools. This year my high school theater teacher and main inspiration won! Go Tom Peters! They offer grants to smaller theater companies so they can afford to hire a union Equity actor. Finally, they have the Theatre Forward Showcase which can be seen at the Fifth Third Theatre at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. Sometime shows can receive an Acclaim award while it is still playing. On their website you can see a 'now playing' list of shows that have received such award. This group of active community members is a great example of how large and bustling the arts community in this city really is.
