There's a lot of potential here, but it isn't quite there yet. The game itself is fun, but you're also competing to keep your football in your lane and everyone's footballs from knocking your pins over. I wish this was set up like batting cages where there was netting in between lanes. Maybe it was due to a very large party of teenage boys next to us, who had already knocked our pins down when we arrived and I had to ask to move a few times.. just not a great start searching for a lost pin in a mess of pins all over. When I went to use the restroom there were probably close to 20 bags of trash just piled by the dock door right in front of the restrooms which is pretty gross. It's a good concept / idea but execution is poor due to the employees. Everyone clearly wants to go home and does not want to be working. Maybe it was since it was the day after Christmas but the staff was not friendly. I would not recommend bringing kids either, they were constantly being yelled at for being loud or running around. Fowling Warehouse is a unique place in Cincinnati. It's great for the guys. I myself can't throw a football tk save my life so it was challenging. The space is very large and would be great for large groups. We came around 3 on a Saturday and paid $12 a person. The time is unlimited. I wish there would've been more instructions or how to play the game. We couldn't find any score sheets to write stuff down. The bar was big and the drinks were averaged priced. read more

I got the chance to check this place out with the crew. I tend to enjoy a hardy game of cornhole, so I figured I'd enjoy fowling. I don't know if I expected to like it as much as I did, though. I mean I'd never thrown a football as much in my life! Similar to cornhole, each team has a respective side. Unlike cornhole, teams can be as big or small as a person wants. The goal is to throw the football and knock over all 10 bowling pins before the other team can do the same. We had a 2 hour slot to play, which felt like more than enough time. Also, I enjoyed seeing people of all ages enjoying this game, from elementary age kids to seniors. I like their "bring your own food" situation too. They sell alcohol and soda and such but you can bring outside food into the establishment. Such a fun and different activity. There are tons of lanes, so there is never a wait and you are able to social distance from other groups. It's $10 per person for (I think) however long you want. There's a full bar that also has tons of craft beer options and beer on tap. I especially love their mystery beer machine where you pay a set amount of money and then get surprised with a mystery can of beer! If ever a game screams we were drunk when we came up with this, fowling is it. The object of the game is to knock down as many bowling pins as possible with a football. It gets competitive really quickly and while I don't know if there's any real skill to it, it is definitely a strenuous activity. The location has a food truck on site, but I'm not sure about the hours. Additionally, they'll allow you to bring in food. Of course there is a full bar and I even spotted shot Jenga on deck. Fowling is a lot of fun and a great way to hang out! It is essentially like bowling with a foot-ball. The goal is to knock all the pins of the opponents. There are two teams (max 5 people per team), everyone throws one time, Team A, Team B, back and forth. The first Team to knock all pins wins. The rules are explained when you come, but they have an excellent YouTube video on their website. You can win in one shot, two ways: strike (all pins down at once) or 'bonk' (only middle pin down and all others up). Once you Bonk it, you can run to the bar and blow the LOUD horn. The game is fast paced and very cool. No skills required. I had no clue how to throw a football and in the end was throwing the primitive way, overhead :D, and still had lots of fun! Ladies can throw from a closer line, which I appreciated! The balls are flying everywhere and it is VERY common that someone's ball is gonna knock your pins, and that counts, so it has an element of a surprise and sometimes of a drama We were there on Saturday 6-8pm and the place was PACKED! They have at least 30 lanes, half for reservations only. I highly recommend reserving prior. On a Sat it is a 21+ place and they ID everyone. Parking is free. There are two full bars. Some things to improve: our check in process took too long, we could not locate someone to help us start and explain the rules, it felt they were understaffed for such a busy day. Finally we found someone (look for people in blue hoodies) and only started 25 min past our alloted reservation time. Since you are only given 2h per lane, that was a big flaw. Another thing: getting drinks took forever. There were too few bartenders. I would recommend coming much earlier and getting a drink prior your lane's clock starts. Also, because the balls are flying wildly, it is not the best to drink inside the fenced lanes' area. Lastly: we were a group of 6, max number of people allowed is 10. I was afraid 10 would be too many, with long wait for a throw, but it is a fairly fast paced game and I would come back with 10 next time. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I heard about "fowling". But when a work event was planned there, I knew it was a great chance to see what it is all about. When I arrived, it was already dark outside but there's enough signs to make your way through the industrial complex parking lot to the back of the building where it is located. Once inside, the space is wide open with the play area in the center and a bar on each side. There's lots of space to spread out when not playing which was nice as we had food delivered for our group. We played for about 2 hours which was a perfect amount of time, in my opinion. The game is simple and easy to play as long as you can throw a ball at all. Our skills levels varied but everyone enjoyed it. Even on a Tuesday night with the place about 1/2 full, it got quite loud at times. That would be my only negative is if it was full, the nouse level would be a bit much to handle. Came here to spend some time with other Xavier fans before the crosstown shootout. Xavier alumni relations put on the event which included free fowling. Didn't expect to try it, but it looked like a lot of fun. I gave it a try thanks to another pair of alums. It was a blast but hard to keep track of all the footballs bouncing all over the place. Unlike cornhole or bowling which it is compared to a football from another "lane" can knock down pins on ANY board! So head on a swivel to keep them from knocking down your opponents pins. Mystery beer was an interesting concept. Not sure I what to pay for a beer sight unseen, but it was fun to try. Beers were priced about what you might expect for a bar. Such a fun and unique place! I love the location because it's secluded and has a lot of space. It's also nice to get things in different areas like Pleasant Ridge. They have a mystery beer vending machine where you pick a dollar amount from the range ($2-$5) and get a mystery beer from a vending machine. The higher the price the better the beer you may get. They serve wine, cocktails and beer. They need to get more fans though as it get really hot and guns inside since it's an old warehouse. They should serve food as well since there's not that much around and they had a food truck that didn't seem open though when we got there. Would be great to have food trucks around or just basic foods served inside like burgers, pizza, etc.... It's a great friends night or even date night. We had a team event there to celebrate a recent promotion for a peer. The staff was extremely accommodating! The facility allows the ability to host parties large or small. They have a great beer selection with mystery beers for different tiers of pricing. They do not have food but you can easily get food delivered based off of its great location. I honestly thought the sound of throwing a football at bowling pins was utterly ridiculous but now I have to admit I had a pretty fun time here! 20 of us came here for a friend's birthday and I thought we'd have to take turns playing but we were actually all able to play at once on two lanes (they allow up to 10 people per lane). They have plenty of tables outside of the lanes and they allow you to bring in food since they don't serve any. (Although Sammy's burger truck was here when we were!) They have a full bar and a pretty large craft beer selection. This is definitely a place to come in a group (I wouldn't recommend coming with less than 6 people). We stayed for 2 hours which was plenty of time for everyone to get their fix. Love this place! It's way bigger than I expected, with a bar on each end. There are tons of spaces to 'fowl', which if you haven't tried it is a combo of cornhole, football, and bowling - it's tons of fun! They have craft beer and domestic beers, and liquor. And lots of tables to hangout at. I think it's a good spot for groups or double dates, especially if you want to go fowling - you and your partner are on one side, and another group of two is on the other side. The staff is super nice and you can tell they are exited to be here and teach people about fowling. The only issue I have with this place is it's really hot. Five stars because I've literally never seen this before in life. Someone mentioned it started in Detroit. I can imagine my grandparents combining random sports stuff from their garage and coming up with this sort of game for a cookout. Probably this game also felt like summer, too, because, as the other reviewer said, it was stinking hot in there. First, you have to sign a disclaimer. I'm not wild about signing all these disclaimers when I go places, but I get it. I mean, I DID get hit in the head with a football. So, watch out for that. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and the owner explained the games to my group. It's crazy loud, so that was a little hard to hear but there are signs all over with rules. If you have back pain, you might want to think about doing this. I only threw a couple times and my body just quit. But folks with sturdier bodies than mine seemed to be having a blast. The floor is concrete and while there are a lot of tables and chairs, there's not really any comfortable seating for bad backs. I appreciated the music, as they clearly knew their demographic and were playing basically all things that reminded me and my group of junior high/high school. Really big venue, sort of tucked away. I like the repurposed space because it's different and interesting. And huge. I think it was some sort of truck loading place prior to this life as a fowling location. read more

The concept is really nice! My husband and I went on a Tuesday to check it out. Whoever greeted us at the door was super nice and gave us a bit of history. It was a weekday right after work around 5 so we were the only ones in there. We had fun playing but the ball does seriously go EVERYWHERE, which makes sense because it's a football and oddly shaped. Personally I couldn't imagine being there with a bunch of people in every lane and with people drinking that could get a little chaotic really fast. If we went back probably would be a weekday with not a lot of people. It isn't really the space I'd want to be in with loads of people around and balls going everywhere and anywhere at any moment. I could be wrong and it could be fine with loads of people but I don't think my husband and I will go to figure it out. Like I said, if we go back it'll definitely be during the week. read more

I came on a Saturday afternoon for a fund raiser and was very impressed with the place. It was a little hard to find but there are signs to follow. The inside is very large and they have 2 big bars to take care of it all. They have a great beer selection on draft and cans and a full bar. The staff was all very nice and quick. I did not play so I can't speak to that but everybody that did said it was a lot of fun.
