Definitely had a lot of fun here. Scheduled ahead of time on their website to meet on a Saturday around noon. When we showed up, there was one employee there but he was very helpful. No one else around though so I'm not entirely sure how they make their schedule work. We tried the prison break room and thoroughly had a good time. It was also connected to a couple of other rooms that we had to unlock. Overall just a lot of fun to spend a Saturday morning. We were able to fully escape within 40 minutes and I felt like it was very well done. Since there were six of us, it was a little bit easier to break out and I've done an escape room before where I could not even get out with a group of people after an hour. This was a lot of fun in definitely wanted to try another one! It is it is in one of the old warehouse buildings and you park in their parking lot behind it. It's a little hard to see from the street but their doors are close to the nightclub and there's an intercom where you can be let in if they are locked. read more

I bought tickets for my family last Christmas, and we finally used them yesterday, 12/17/23! This was the most fun ever! We did the Prison Break and had two of our group in one prison cell and three in the other. The rooms were amazing! The decor was spot on, actually made me feel like I was in a real prison cell! The challenges were difficult, yet super fun. My daughter kept thinking it would be a good idea to put one of the clues in the toilet, thinking it would travel to the other prison's toilet, and we could hear our host, Meara, over the loudspeaker telling her not to put anything in the toilet! We were laughing hysterically! The rooms were so fun and we loved that there were multiple rooms to discover! We were so close.... and then we heard, "would you like 5 more minutes?" YESSSS! and we broke out with 44 seconds to spare!. Meara was great and I cannot wait to return for more challenges! This was a great time, thank you! read more

Rooms have really good set dressings and the staff we interacted with were super friendly. We did The Upside Down and Break the Curse and both had quality puzzles that are the right amount of challenge. The Upside Down Room does require at least one person in the group to have some knowledge of Stranger Things. Lots to explore here! read more

My friends and I did the 221B Baker Street escape room, and it was sooooo much fun! I would highly recommend it to any group of friends looking for an interesting activity to do, or for coworkers looking for a team building exercise. If you're not familiar, "escape" rooms are a new fad where you go into a room with a group (here they are groups of 8), and you have to solve clues in order to get out. The 221B Baker Street room is a murder-mystery that you need to solve, based on Sherlock Holmes. I would definitely recommend coming here with a group of at least 6 or 8 people that you know well...It would be extremely difficult to solve with a group of 2-4, because there's a lot of puzzles in the room, and there's only an hour to do it all! It would be even more impossible to solve if you came here with strangers...I think working with people you know well works best. So, you walk into a random room, furnished like it's Sherlock Holmes' study, and you have no idea where to start to solve this "murder"...Then you see a few clues, and you need to solve a riddle, then a map, etc. etc. etc. There's no direction, there's no specific order you need to solve things in, and it can get a little overwhelming, but it was definitely FUN! We ended up solving it in 49 minutes (there's only a 22% success rate on this puzzle, so we felt pretty good about ourselves!), through a combination of skill and luck. haha It was very challenging, and we were a group of adult engineers, so you know it's tough. I think even if we hadn't solved it though we still would have had fun! The price was a little steep...About $25 per person for an hour. But still, totally worth it, and I would recommend this to anyone! I can't wait to do a different one! read more

Wonderful facility! Our girls had a great time in the Upside down room as part of a birthday celebration.

Poor customer service. We needed to start on time and expressed that very clearly and even asked if they had a different room that was empty that we could play instead. They didn't appear to have anyone else playing but wouldn't accommodate us. Instead they made us wait 15 minutes past our start time for a group of 5 people that were running late. The game-master was overly generous giving several hints that were NEVER asked for. We played Secret Society. The first part of the game is very very poorly decorated. It looks like an 8th grade art project. The rest of the game is decorated very well, but the "ahh factor" is lost because of the first impression at the beginning of the game. The puzzles are poorly designed and incredibly repetitive. It felt like everything in the room was reused at some point. There is little flow to the room because of the bad puzzle design. There is an overwhelming amount of busy work and extreme lack of actual puzzle solving. You also need some amount of prior sports knowledge. Tons of fun! I had never done an escape room before and thoroughly enjoyed completing my first one with family at Cincinnati Escape Room. We did the Cincinnati themed room. Upon arrival, the location is a bit confusing You do have to call and get a code to enter the building since other businesses are located in the complex. Not an issue - the staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and after signing our wavers we were able to start right on time. The set-up is exciting, frustrating, and complex at the same time - making for a greatly varied game! You will definitely nee to work AS A TEAM to escape...so playing with people who you are not decent friends with doesn't seem like a great idea. I would guess you need at least 5 people to make it viable. Overall, we left very happy with our experience there; and yes, we escaped! read more

Hands down the best escape room in Ohio. We've been to many others in the area and this is by far the best. The puzzles are complex and varied, not just a bunch of combination locks. Each member of the team gets to participate and they don't force you into a room with too many people. I'd suggest starting with Prison Break! read more

This was an amazing experience and we'll definitely be back to take on the Baker Street room soon! When we got to the building at first we were confused. They are on the fourth floor of a inconspicuous office building and we weren't sure if we had gone to the right place, or if the game started the moment you stepped in the door. Nope, just need to go up the elevator to their waiting room and they'll get you started on your mission! We filled up the corporate espionage room with a bunch of friends and myself and even though we were a large group, we were all able to contribute to the success of escaping our room with a top time! The corporate espionage room's puzzles seemed to be at a good progression of difficulty because when we solved one, another slightly different or more difficult one appeared for us to crack without stumping us. The owner's enthusiasm and passion for putting together these experiences showed through in the wonderful experience that we had. He even talked about possibly creating a third room, but didn't elaborate on what the the theme might be, but I'd love to give it a try when it opens. While you may only be in there for 60 minutes, you'll feel like you spent much more time in there, but that every second was worth it! read more

This was a great family activity we had ages 16-75 in our group. Everybody was able to contribute to solving the clues. I will admit it took me a while to find my groove and walked around confused for the first few minutes but once people start finding clues it got exciting. I would recommend having the max amount of people the room holds also a mix of men and women. It was interesting to see all the men worked on different clues than the women at least in my group/family. When we asked for clues they came really fast. Only negative the room was hot. WOW. This is one of the coolest activities I've ever done. Possibly even as exhilarating as skydiving, but in a different way. Do you like the thought of figuring out a string of clues, opening locks, and cracking combinations?! My mind was blown. We went into the Espionage Room. Everything was so detailed. It was incredible. (Sorry for the vagueness of this review, but I do not want to reveal anything. ) Don't be alarmed when you pull into the parking lot and only see a few other cars and what seems to be an empty office building. Even upon entering, we still wondered at first if we were in the right place. Have no fear! Follow the signs. :) I loved that Allyn and I had the opportunity to do this together. There's a 7 person slot for each hour, and I think that they will group others with you if others request for the same time slot. While I understand this, I don't like the idea of it... (what if they aren't good problem solvers?) Therefore we'll just probably call ahead to make sure we have a slot for ourselves, or bring a large enough group to fill the whole slot. We had 4 people in our group doing the corporate espionage room. It was fantastic! The rooms were nicely set up and the staff was great. There was a rush of adrenaline the entire time and various puzzles to figure out. I think our group of 4 was ideal for this room. 5-6 would be okay as well--they said typically groups of 4 don't make it out. Highly recommend this place. If you're looking for something fun to do then you should definitely check this out! I came here for my boyfriend's birthday with a group of our friends. When we got to the location, we were a little thrown off since it was just a random office building and weren't sure if we had the right place. When we got inside , we took the elevator and got to the suite where the escape room was located. There was a waiting room where you could check out the top times people had in terms of escaping the different rooms. We did the corporate espionage room and had a blast. The puzzles were challenging but fun, everyone was able to contribute and there was a rush of adrenaline whenever we got a new clue. My group ended up getting the third top time (we missed 2nd place by 1 second), we'll definitely be back to try and escape the other room (and maybe get first place on the wall this time! ) read more

Other than seeing a similar game on a recent TV show, it was my first experience with an escape room. The overall experience was great. The puzzles were numerous and they seemed to be just the right difficulty level (corporate espionage room) for a group of first timers. We escaped but with just seconds left on the clock. It was actually quite exhilarating. Our group went on a Saturday evening. When we arrived at the location, it was dark, the parking lot was nearly empty, the building felt a bit run down...and, well, I'll just say that our heightened sense of intrigue and suspiciousness started there. Upon arrival, no one was at the door to greet us. That usually isn't an issue at most places. We stood there and looked around for about twenty seconds before a very angry security guard yelled at us to go back outside so he could pass a metal detector wand over us. We were advised no weapons were allowed into the space. That is completely acceptable, but if your job is security, don't leave the door unguarded.   After our impolite greeting, we were directed to a room where a hostess began a short speech about the theme of the night. She failed to make sure we were all present and paying attention. Considering her information was pretty much all the context we got for the evening, this was unhelpful. And with only the hostess' setup of the night's theme, there was nothing that gave any indication of an end goal for the evening.   The evening involved several groups trying to solve a series of puzzles that had nothing to do with the theme presented at the beginning. Ultimately, the game failed at a point where we were expected to complete a task as a single unit which, again, had absolutely nothing to do with anything leading up to it or with the theme presented at the beginning.   I cannot recommend anyone spending their evening with these people. read more

This was so much fun! The worst part was finding it because it sits in an office building and there isn't a big sign that says "hey the escape room is in here!" You work with your group to solve the puzzle/ crime. You get 60 minutes so you have to really work as a team. Way better than watching a movie or playing cards. We had to use our brains! I might never have found Cincinnati Escape Room if I had not won a gift certificate at a charity silent auction. So we did a family outing and attempted the 221 B Baker Street room. The business is oddly located in an office building. While waiting to begin, you are encouraged to search the lobby for clues. But there are 3 escape rooms and you don't know which clues go to which room. While we did find one useful clue, we were certain that another clue applied to our room and it did confuse us a bit that it didn't. Like most escape rooms, there are multiple puzzles to be solved and when you find a clue you don't always know where it will be useful. It is hard to stay organized with so many people (we had 8) working on so many different puzzles. But when you do unlock some puzzles - Woo-hoo! They told us we had 2 or 3 'free' hints and after that each additional hint would add time to our official finish. Yet, the staff felt sorry for our dysfunctional team and gave us plenty of extra, no-penalty, hints. With only 5 minutes left on the clock, we opened the door, expecting to claim our victory, and found -- another room full of clues! Ugh. We tried, but failed to unlock the final lock and claim victory. So embarrassing! But, even though we failed, we had a good time, the puzzles were well done, the staff was very nice. When I reserved our spot on line, I put in the gift certificate code, but it charged my credit card anyway. When we showed up to check in, I asked about this, they looked into it, and fixed the problem. It is tempting to go back and do the same room again... read more

We have done several "escape rooms" and this was the best! We did Sherlock's room. It was fabulous. There were so many items in the room you felt really immersed. The puzzles were super hard and it took all of 56 mins for the four of us to escape. We are going to go back and try their prison break room next. The only thing that may get some people is the location. It's in a creep building with a very old elevator that just totally freaked us out. This is the first room we have done where the door is NOT LOCKED. We thought that was cool for people who would freak out about that kind of thing. The game masters could get more involved (the telegrams were silly) and be friendlier (smile bro). Oh and they don't tell you that there are several clues in the lobby until you are leaving. After all that, it really was the most involved and creative room we have done. read more

This was so much fun! 5 of my friends and I did the "Baker St" room. We were so very close to escaping in time! Now we are hooked and want to do the "Espionage" room. This is clean fun. If you enjoy being excited and using your mind then you will love this! The game is very thought out with so much detail. This place was the second place I have done for this kind of game. I personally like it a lot. They make it not too hard and not too easy. My 14 years old cousin and my 50 years old aunt can enjoy and they did really well. Challenging puzzles at just the right pace - had a fantastic time! We had 6 family members try the Espionage escape room. The entire setup was very well thought out - different clues led to new puzzles and called back to earlier discoveries, all culminating in an exciting escape! There was enough to do that everyone contributed, but it was never overwhelming. And we all got to share the excitement whenever anyone solved a clue or unlocked a new puzzle! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!! Our group of friends are super into puzzle and game nights and wanted to be really challenged for one of our friends birthdays. There has been a bunch of buzz around escape rooms easily and we found this one to have great reviews so we gave it a try. When you drive up to the building, easily found right off of 74, you think you are in the wrong spot. Don't worry, you are right where you should be! It reminded me of my old dentists office when I was 8, but once you get into the suite you are transported into puzzle-escape room realness. When you arrive and check in, make sure you look around for some hidden clues in the waiting room: these will only help you once you get into your puzzle and something that I wish we spent more time on! Once you get into your room, something you pick online and book before you arrive, do not be fooled to think it is a one room challenge. I do not want to give away any spoilers but WOW, was the Cincinnati one both challenging and creative, and of the highest caliber that we could imagine. I do recommend using their advice from their website on difficulty levels because our group considers ourselves pretty savvy when it comes to games and found this to be thrilling and extremely involved and challenging. We did not escape though we made it close on the very last puzzle and are looking forward to going back to try another one soon. read more
