07/17/25 I decided to stop by for lunch and utilize the drive thru. My order was taken quickly and the lady had a friendly tone. It did take slightly longer to get my order as there wasn't anyone else in the drive thru ahead of me. I love their onion rings and they did not disappoint today! The regular pork sandwich was nice too; the bun got a little mushy towards the end. I typically only get ribs from here but they have not been good lately. Overall , I was pleased with my food today. Yummmmmm

I'm not sure if it's because I stopped in at night, but the staff was friendly. The lady at the register was patient with me while i tried deciding what to get. She even suggested my two sides: creamy mad n cheese and baked beans. The lady that brought me my food made sure i had everything, and one of the gentlemen bussing tables checked in with me. The place was clean, and i could see the pride in the state universities decorating the walls. The food came out hot. The portions are crazy here. The pulled pork was tasty, but the smoke flavor was on the wall side. The bbq sauce was delicious. The sweetness didn't overpower the vinegar and vice versa. The Mac n cheese was creamy and hot. The baked beans were good but a little thicker than I'm used to and a little to sweet for me. Overall, my experience was great!

Love the food here but the customer service I experienced last night was horrible!! I was going to go to the drive thru but I saw the line was long and decided to go in. I walk in and no customers are in line so I head straight to the register. There are 2 teenagers behind the counter and I'm just standing.....looking around....waiting... The girl behind the register tells "hey you got a customer". I turn around and there's a young man walking behind me and he yells out "nah I'm going to the bathroom". By now I'm like did he just yell that out?? Still looking around at who's going to take my order and the 2 teenagers are still behind the counter goofing off. Finally the young man decides to take my order. By now I'm just ready to go because I was so annoyed. As I'm placing my order the young girl is telling him what to do. I'm thinking to myself instead of goofing off you could've been taking my order. I ordered the large bbq chicken sandwich with extra pickles. While I'm waiting the young girl gets behind the young man and starts dancing up on him with her tongue out. I wanted to ask for a refund so bad but decide not to. I understand teenagers need jobs but in that same instance, they need to know how to act at their jobs. I really do like the food here but I probably won't be back because the lack of customer service.

Full Moon is part one of our road trip adventures in trying BBQ styles from other states. What really started this was my buddy had never heard of Alabama "White Sauce". I'm a native Texan and have judged BBQ competitions in the past. Full Moon has accolades from Huffington Post and Ebony Magazine claiming top 10 BBQ in the US; even says it right there on your drink cup! WOW, and no, no, and no. First up is the St. Louis style Ribs; my personal favorite actually. Ribs were nice but perhaps slightly undercooked. You look for that perfect tear off the bone; versus an overcooked rib where the meat just falls off at touch. It was close to perfection; more than most places can muster these days. Thinking back, I may have had Alabama White once in the past. FM's Chicken paired gloriously with the sauce. Adjacent diner described it as a thicker more subtle ranch with a mayo like consistency. Onto the Pulled Pork which was dry as sandpaper. Dipping it in the BBQ sauce helped somewhat but it was a fail for the $11 I spent on 1/2lb. I always write who judges a BBQ restaurant by sides; in this case it helped them get to a three star rating for this visit. Deviled Eggs as an actual side instead of an appetizer upcharge was brilliant. Other sides like Collards, Mac N Cheese, Onion Rings, and Baked Beans rounded out solid dishes. Onto the "famous" Cookies; they weren't that good either. Seems like they had been made the day before; too crisp and tough. We bought a bag of 6 (?) to share and we threw the rest away.

Great tasting ribs. Well cooked, nice bite. Baked beans were sweet. Fried okra was perfect.

After trying Full Moon several time, I came to a conclusion that I'm a picky eater when it comes to eating bbq. It seems like there ribs don't have any type of flavor or seasoning in my opinion. There bbq sauce is more thin than thick which I'm a custom to having. I do appreciate them having good side items like there collard greens and they have some delicious key lime pie. Customer service is always pleasant every time I'm here, but I will be trying a different food item the next go around.

The food may be good, but the management has no idea how to run a restaurant - efficiency/ customer relations disaster!

These are my favorite kind of places in the world. From the moment I walked up and saw the big piles of wood outside I knew I was probably going to like this place. We had an amazing meal here. Every single bite was good. I ate myself damn near sick! I cannot wait to come back!! The day we were there the bartender was waiting on the whole place himself with just someone helping him run food and clear tables. We only had an hour before we had to be at an appointment, so when we sat down at the bar I got concerned that we would not have time to eat here. He was busy. He seemed behind. Thank goodness I was wrong. Once he finally got to us we were decided on our meals. He took our order on his little handheld register thing, grabbed our tasty beverages, and poof, off he went. C had the pulled chicken sandwich with deviled eggs and I had pulled pork, smoked chicken thighs, beans, and a giant pile of pork rinds. Holy shit it was good!!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that my thighs had AL white sauce on them until well after I had ordered. Had I know that, I would not have ordered them. I despise all things that have anything to do with mayonnaise. But.... Had I known, I would have never known. I fucking loved it! I could have eaten 10 of them. There were hands down the best smoked chicken that I have ever had. The pork was bad ass too! I dare say perfect. Beans were great, and the pork rinds side was massive and still warm from the fryer with a killer seasoning on them. There are not enough adjectives to describe this food. I am in love. I cannot wait to get some more of those damn chicken thighs!! '26 - 68

Finally found them in a neighborhood market pop-up a couple of days ago...sweet! Ordered pork, ribs, and, of course, brisket. Also got their potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. They also added in some of their sausages for us to try as well. Here is a tip - if you want brisket, go early. I got the last of their brisket and the pop-up market was only halfway through! Took everything home and we had a FANTASTIC dinner. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was good! It's crazy!! Party of 6 in our group and everyone loved it! So when my mom told me that she wanted to throw my dad a surprise 70th birthday party and was looking to get some ribs and chicken catered, I knew that they would love their food as well. The Friday afternoon before the party that evening, I went to their brick and mortar location, and it is in such a great location! Very nice and the owner is great! He's nice and personable every single time we see him and very helpful. I would recommend him again and again. They also will deliver your catering over a certain dollar amount which is great! Kuntri Kitchen food truck was set up outside St. Vincent's Birmingham today. The scent that hit my…read morenose was heavenly as I approached. A menu board sitting in front of the truck had their menu for today. They had BBQ pork sandwiches, pork plates, rib plates, bbq nachos, wings, roasted corn, bbq beans, pineapple lemonade, and more. The service here was fast and friendly. The prices are about what you would expect for bbq. I got the bbq pork sandwich for $9, the rib plate with two sides -roasted corn and beans- for $18, and a pineapple lemonade for $4. Two people for $36. The amount of food you get is very generous. The bbq pork sandwich was pretty basic, just pork and sauce, but it was huge. Pork and sauce poured over the bun to fill the biggest portion of the to go plate. The meat was tender and juicy and is somewhere between pulled and chopped. The bbq sauce isn't overly sweet and has a spicy kick. It's not a hot sauce but if you are sensitive to heat, you may want to choose something else. There is a bit of after burn. My mom couldn't eat it due to an extreme aversion to spice but I had it later for dinner and I enjoyed it very much. The real star for me was the rib plate. These ribs were huge, tender, and moist, with just enough bite to keep them from falling off the bone. They are rubbed with spices and you have the option of bbq sauce, which I got. Get plenty of napkins because you will need them. These are some of the best ribs I've had in a while. I wanted to suck the bones. My sides were roasted corn and baked beans. Both of these had a little kick of heat to them, so once again, if you can't stand spice look out. Both side items were delicious. Let's talk about the pineapple lemonade. When I saw it was $4, I almost skipped it, but am I ever glad I didn't! This lemonade is so refreshing, sweet, and smooth I could have happily finished off a gallon or more. It's very sweet and there is little tang. It was so worth it. If you see this truck, get over there quick, you don't want to miss out.
