Specialties
Full Compass specializes in pain relief, increased performance, increased range of motion, relief from pathology (pain, discomfort, loss of mobility and or control of motion) relating to muscle trauma, injury or postural distortions.
We are an on-call business, so we come directly to you utilizing multiple techniques and approaches- Swedish massage (including deep tissue work), myofascial release, medical massage, reiki, TMD/TMJ (lock jaw) therapy, as well as some craniosacral, ayurvedic, Thai massage and acupressure protocols.
A typical massage would begin with a postural analysis, followed by some simple range of motion orthopedic testing and a history. You might be asked questions about your daily routine, and post-massage you will likely be given stretches and/or exercises to supplement your bodywork to improve your general health.
The massage is 15-20% of the work. The rest is knowledge that is imparted to you to help you increase your wellness. Our proof is your health.
History
Established in 2010.
Beginning in 2010 I set out on a mission to bring affordable therapeutic massage to people who were in need, and in general to differentiate the massage designed to generally increase wellness through relaxation from the work we do, which is designed for specific goals: improved range of motion, relief from pain due to pathology, increased connection to the body, reduced injury and improved posture.
Since then we have grown to provide this service to many appreciative people, almost all of it through referral. I am here to help people become well. It isn't just about soft touch, hot stones and scented oils. I am here to bring to you the healing power of bodywork in a goal-oriented mindset based on kinesiology (how the body moves) and partnerships, like our partnership with www.chiro4health.us and Dr. Scott Byrd.
Unlike many health and medical providers, I do not wish to simply treat symptoms, but rather to treat causes and provide you with the tools you need to avoid re-injury.
Meet the Business Owner: Alex S.
Alex Stadler, LMT graduated from combined schooling at Atlanta School of Massage and the Natural Health Institute in Nashville, TN. Having been through a great deal of physical trauma, including two car accidents resulting in multiple broken bones, Alex was no stranger to pain from the recovery process.
He began his practice to help those in need acquire the relief from pain and discomfort that they weren't getting through the standard health care providers. Other students and teachers quickly realized Alex's passion and began sending him the toughest cases coming into the training clinic.
Husband, father of two, as well as, a musician, writer and performer, Alex likes to stay active, always continuing to learn and to share his knowledge. He and his wife Nina live in Decatur, and they hope to continue to grow their family and to be a model of health and prosperity to those seeking a path of wellness and contentedness.
