We stayed here and rented out the whole place for our wedding. Tom and Debby, the owners and innkeepers, couldn't have been more welcoming and warm. They were amazing during the entire wedding planning process, very accommodating during our stay, and helpful as we were moving things around setting up for the wedding. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! We can't wait to stay again soon, just to get away from the city and see the sunset.

All the comforts of home...and more. This beautiful B&B in the desert is visually stunning. The owners have exquisite tastes...and speaking of tastes...breakfasts are YUMMY!!! I had blueberry French toast, a divine quiche, a unique version of eggs benedicts...all beyond delicious. The B&B is in the desert and my room was Casita with a beautiful large back porch that faced the desert, which meant I saw sunrise every morning and moon rises at night. It's was quiet and serene and a perfect place to escape to relax and disconnect. It's just 45 minutes north of Phoenix, so for me it was a perfect place to stay after visiting Sedona for a few days. This is horse country, and the B&B even have stables for their guests who come with horses. The town of Cave Creek is adorable in a western way. Seems it hasn't changed too much in years, although the restaurants, bar and stores are up to date and very nice. I'll be back!!!!

Updated review:…read more House Brasserie is, without question, one of Scottsdale's true hidden gems. We came to celebrate a very quiet and intimate birthday for my sweet Kennedy, and from the moment we stepped out of the car, Tommy welcomed us with one of the warmest greetings we've ever received. His genuine hospitality set the tone for what became an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere at House Brasserie is exactly what fine dining should be, elegant, cozy, intimate, and welcoming. Every detail makes you feel as though you're dining in someone's beautiful historic home rather than simply eating at a restaurant. We started with the burrata salad, and it was absolutely incredible. Kennedy is gluten-free, and instead of overlooking that detail, the chef thoughtfully created crispy rice crackers specifically for her to enjoy with the burrata. That level of care and attention speaks volumes about the kitchen and their commitment to every guest. For our entrées, Kennedy enjoyed Mary's Chicken while I had the sea bass, and I can honestly say it was one of the finest dishes I've ever eaten. Every ingredient was perfectly balanced, every flavor intentional, and every bite was memorable. The chef is an artist. The creativity, precision, and quality of the cuisine genuinely rival restaurants with Michelin stars. Scottsdale is incredibly fortunate to have a chef of this caliber. Throughout the evening, we were treated to beautiful little gifts from the kitchen, including the most decadent chocolate hazelnut bites that were as beautiful as they were delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised Kennedy with a gluten-free chocolate cake topped with a taro sorbet. It was unlike anything we've ever tasted, creative, elegant, and absolutely unforgettable. There truly aren't words to describe how exceptional it was. One of the highlights of the evening was when the owner came to our table to welcome us personally and share the history of the house, especially since it was Kennedy's first visit. That personal touch made the evening feel even more special and reminded us why House Brasserie is so beloved. And Tommy...he was simply spectacular. His warmth, professionalism, attention to detail, and sincere kindness elevated an already extraordinary dining experience into something we'll remember for years to come. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, or simply want to experience some of the finest food Scottsdale has to offer, House Brasserie belongs at the very top of your list. They close each July for a seasonal break, but they're officially open again, so make your reservation now. Trust me, you'll understand why so many people consider this one of Scottsdale's best dining experiences. This isn't just dinner, it's an experience. Five stars simply aren't enough.

This restaurant is located in old town - it is a quaint cottage-style home surrounded by greenery creating a peaceful oasis in the city. We chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening. We ordered a glass of wine and were served complemintary homemade bread (an amuse bouche). Next, we ordered an appetizer - their whipped feta with chili infused olives & focaccia bread - outstanding! They had a special menu for restaurant week, which I ordered the seared duck breast; my wife went with the regular menu and chose the seared salmon. Both dishes were artistically crafted, and well-executed. For dessert, we had the toasted hazelnut torte, and the chocolate torte w/Ube Gelato, a perfect way to end an excellent dining experience. A big shout out to Tommy as he delivered a phenomenal performance as our server! I would highly recommend a visit to "The House" for any occasion.

Their cocktail menu is really fun too if that's what you're looking for, definitely a fun place to drink. It's got a dark vibe interior and was pretty lively. The parking lot behind is $23 minimum so make sure to look for street parking when you're driving in. We ordered a few things but my favorite was probably the ceviche or the Caesar, both were well dressed and I kept reaching for them. Honestly, all the food here was really great and came out so quick I was very happy. Unfortunately I ordered a Diet Coke that never came, but to be fair I did it after everyone had already gotten their drinks, and the server wasn't ready to write it down. Something that really bothered us though was when we asked the server if they do anything for birthdays and they said yes. We received two different desserts and were really happy until we got the bill and realized we were charged for one of them. We would've been fine without dessert and definitely didn't ask them to bring out two, so that was a little upsetting.

They weren't taking any more table reservations for the evening, but they added our name to the waitlist for bar seating and quoted us about an hour. We left to run a quick errand and returned just in time to be seated. The atmosphere was lively with live music, $2 oysters, drink specials all night, and their regular happy hour menu. We ordered a dozen oysters, ceviche, trout dip, tuna crispy rice (not on happy hour, but it's too good to pass up) and wine. Everything was fresh and delicious, just what we've come to expect from Buck & Rider. Even with the restaurant packed, the bartenders were friendly and attentive. The only unusual part of the evening happened before we even walked in. There was a woman passed out in the bushes outside covered in vomit. We mentioned it to the hostess when we checked in, and she let us know they were already aware of the situation and were handling it. Obviously, that's not something the restaurant can control, and it's definitely not something we've ever seen outside Buck & Rider before. Overall, it was another great visit. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were excellent, and Oyster Day is definitely worth checking out if you're an oyster lover.

I was happy about the little purse hooks on the table (iykyk). The outside area, not so much. It's on the corner of a strip mall, there was some etched graffiti on the outside windows, which made you aware of the area you were in. (That's the reason for the 1 star deduction.) The place is very small! So yes, you WILL want to make a reservation. We went around 3:30 on a Friday and I would say 3/4 of the tables had reserved signs on them starting at 5pm on up. The receptionist was constantly back and forth looking at them and moving them around to make space for walk-ins. I would skip bringing your kids here. I didn't use the restroom so idk if that was nice or not. The food was fantastic! And the portions were big. The price matched the portions and quality in our opinion. It's hard to find quality food that's worth the cost lately. We enjoyed the chips and salsa. And hubby ordered a Mexican coke, and the server brought him a frosty glass for it. Everyone around us looked like they were enjoying their food. Our server was great. He chatted with us for a while when we told him about seeing the place on IG. He was grateful for the customers. But admitted, it's caused an influx of people and the 'regulars' have become annoyed. Which is understandable. We'd definitely come back if we're in the area but probably not drive that far out of our way again.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.
