Small Smoothie (Guava) and Black and Small BlackGold (free one topping)

Fuku tea has been my favorite boba spot in Pittsburgh for half a decade now. Other boba shops have undercooked tapioca, but theirs is always fresh and so good. The tapioca is the best, it's not too small and it's always cooked right. You can't go wrong with a large #1 order of "Black & Gold" with 50% sweetness. They have really good drinks my favorite during the summer is the Guava or Mango Smoothie with tapioca. In the winter I get hot milk tea with tapioca. A lot of the reviews talk about how sweet the drinks are, but you can always adjust the sweetness. I always get 50-75% sweetness. I also love their snacks they have on the side, the cake mochi they have is so good. 11/10 best in Pgh

I've tried their Hong Kong milk tea, brown sugar milk tea and mango green tea. Overall their black teas with milk are too sweet, and you can't really taste the tea. I do like that they use real milk. Their flavored green teas are not bad. I like that they have different loose leaf tea options, so maybe they do better with just straight up tea. But for a bubble tea place to not do well in the classic milk tea is a little disappointing. Service is usually friendly and prompt.

I decided to try Fuku Tea on a whim with my family. The place was clean, and the workers were nice. I ordered a Hong Kong Milk Tea and a Thai Tea. Both of the drinks and the boba topping were incredibly bland.

I personally love a boba shop that prioritizes tea-based drinks as much as milk-based ones for the non-dairy folks. Fuku tea is fantastic and not overwhelming with the number of choices like other tea shops. I got a black and gold tea (passion fruit and green tea) with boba and it was so delicious. I opted for the larger size because it was only ~$.75 more. I usually ask for half sweetness but half sweet was still pretty sweet for me. I enjoyed it but would want to try maybe 1/4 sweet next time and see how that tastes. Great tea, great menu, and the staff was really nice! It didn't take very long for our teas to be ready either despite them being pretty busy on a weekend. I would definitely go back again and bring friends as it's in a convenient area near many different attractions.

I was in the area and needed some bubble tea. I had never been to Fuku Tea but herd good things. I ordered a black tea with mango and pomegranate juice and blueberry bubbles. The staff where super friendly and very helpful. The drink was made fast and tasted delicious. I will definetly be back to Fuku Tea whenever I am in the area.

The tea was refreshing, the service helped me pick a tasty drink, and the drink came out quickly. It is a small shop yet would make a good study spot. What more could you ask for out of a boba place?

I like coming here for some boba!!! I got the raspberry black tea with mango popping bubbles and LIGHT ICE!! Always light ice at fuku tea. Drinks are good, service is good and quick, and it's in a good spot. Come down here for some tea!

This is quite a popular bubble tea cafe in the area. I ordered small jasmine tea with mango and passion fruit flavors. It was not bad but I've had better bubble tea. I wish they use some real fruits instead of fruit syrups. Service was good.

Friendly service. Got order quickly. Room to wait and not feel smushed. Very good tapioca pearls. Got the taro. I would get again.

university nostalgia food tour ~ this spot has been around since my freshman year of college, so it holds a special place in my heart despite not quite meeting my bay area boba standards. the menu boasts a ton of options so there's always plenty of options to pick from. service is pretty efficient. it's nice that a second location opened up on craig street, which allows for quicker access to CMU students living on fifth avenue. please put the pu'er milk tea on the regular menu LOL it's been "seasonal" for a few years now ;0

While visiting Pittsburgh, we were craving boba and Fuku Tea definitely hit the spot. The ordering process was easy- you order online, wait five mins, then head inside. They're not allowing customers inside to hang around so you just grab your drink and go. Ordered a mango passion fruit black tea with boba and jelly as well as a regular boba milk tea. I loved my mango passion fruit tea! It was the perfect amount of sweetness (opted for the less sweet option). It was a bit tart and super refreshing. The texture of the bubbles was so perfect. Often bubbles at other places would be either too hard or too mushy but these ones were nice and chewy! I would definitely come back if I were to visit Pittsburgh again. Also, street parking was widely available in this area.

Ask the Community - Fuku Tea

What bubble options are vegan (tapioca, popping boba, jelly, etc.)? i don't eat gelatin or honey :) i'm pretty sure the tapioca has honey but wasn't sure about others.

Tapioca has honey, and the pudding is made with egg. All other toppings are vegan. Jellies are made from coconut with no gelatin.

Do they provide gift cards? If so, where can I get one?

I'm pretty sure they provide them. If so, it is at the register where you order and pay for your drink.

After walking around the neighborhood, this one had seating, so we went inside. First, I'll say the coffee we tried was pretty good - a cappuccino and a brown sugar cinnamon latte. The barista asked "for here or to go" and the drinks still came in a paper cup anyway despite us saying "for here". I really enjoy having a coffee in an actual glass/mug when I say "for here". The ambiance was a bit confusing... not really sure what they were going for in the space, things were a bit choppy and thrown together. Kinda felt like you were in someone's garage with cluttered items on rickety shelves behind the counter. Our barista was very nice, but an awkward moment occurred when they were ringing us up - barista asked for a tip but then told us not to put the tip on the credit card because the owner steals from them. We felt this was a little uncomfortable and gave some unwelcoming energy. We also tried a Nutella croissant, which was very good! I think this shop has a lot of potential with some changes to service and decor.

The first time I ordered an espresso beverage with the light roast option and what I received did not taste anything close to light. Was really hoping to like this cafe.

While I…read morethink Espresso a Mano has the better espresso drinks,* Constellation has fantastic pour over: You won't find a better selection of high-end coffee beans anywhere else in Pittsburgh, and no other cafe in the city comes close. The bean offerings are always excellent, varied, and carefully curated. Selecting among them may feel intimidating, but the baristas are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you don't have much or any experience with pour over coffee, you should make sure to ask them for suggestions, and they will guide you towards a good selection. If you are coffee snob with a rotating selection of extra-light beans on your kitchen counter... well you should still chat with the baristas and they can tell you all about what they offer, what tasting notes to expect, what they are excited about, and so on. I am in the latter category, and I always enjoy chatting with the baristas here and learning about their coffee. I also appreciate that, in the summer, you can choose to have a Japanese-style iced pour over (the one that's brewed hot directly onto ice). You don't find that often in cafes, and certainly nowhere else in Pittsburgh. Besides coffee, the ambiance is great. There is not much traffic, so it's a pretty calm place to sit down and work or read a book. I love sitting at the large table in the back room for a few hours and working from there, while enjoying a cup or two of different pour overs. Overall, we are lucky to have Constellation . While Pittsburgh can't compare with the "third-wave" coffee scene in cities like Seattle or Vancouver, Constellation can certainly compete with the best cafes in such cities. *The espresso here is also great, don't get me wrong, especially when they offer a light roast. But I just like the one at Espresso a Mano better. I do wish Constellation offered an espresso flight; given the variety of beans they offer, that would be a unique coffee-drinking experience.

The reason is simple: It's the best espresso in Pittsburgh. Both the plain espresso and the milky drinks (at least the macchiato and cortado, I don't generally enjoy cappuccino or latte) are executed perfectly and taste great. I like the espresso so much, the beans I use for my own espresso at home are always from here. I also enjoy the ambiance at this cafe. In the summer, I love to sit at the long bench by the entrance and watch the traffic outside while enjoying the sun. And in the winter, the interior feels very cozy and is a great place to hang out and chat with a friend. They also display art from (I believe) local artists, and you can buy pieces you like. I have not tried any of the baked goods or non-espresso drinks, so I can't comment on those first hand--though my partner did try the hot chocolate and was raving about it. But when it comes to espresso, come here for a good cup; as I said, it's the best espresso in Pittsburgh.
