I like Fujiya because it's all you can eat sushi. They have a good amount of different kinds of sushi. They have everything from hand rolls to baked rolls, etc. Calamari, miso soup, edaname, baked mussels are also part of the all you can eat which is great. The food comes pretty fast too. I get like 3 plates in a matter of minutes. The owner always recognizes me everytime I go and he's really nice. I have random conversations with him. The only complaint I have is... I don't think I've ever seen a dessert menu, but it's okay. The sushi is enough to fill me up. read more

This is my 2nd favorite Sushi place in all of ventura county. The only place where I have had all you can eat, and not gagged at the low quality of fish used. I tend to not like big fancy super special straight from korean chef-designed rolls (maki). BUT, the chef here obviously is well trained, knows what he is doing, and deals with fresh fish (not frozen overnight crap like most places in Ventura county). Having those big special rolls with FRESH fish makes a huge difference, and I actually have started to like them now. A lot of the people at my work and I all go together and they are well suited, despite being understaffed, to handling a large group. The 3 times to order works great with a large group since you just order a lot, order a lot, and order a little (or only order twice if you want, sheesh, it's not THAT stressful other-reviewer-person). Yes ordering too much makes you pay more, so what, that's part of keeping your business in operation. When our group goes there about once a month, I'm surprised they CAN stay in business since we order truckloads, and get away with stil only paying around 25 each (with tips and taxes and all). Favorites include the Albacore delight, Lobster Crunch, Mexican, Heart Attack (oh baby spiciest thing ever, especially if you order on the third round), O.S.S., and some Sea Bass (never seen anyone else carry this, it's a quite different flavor so I can see why). read more

Even if you aren't a big eater its easy to get your moneys worth if u order s few oyster shooters, a roll, and some tempura veg. My fiance loves the monkey balls, they are deep fried mushrooms with spicy tuna. And I love the ocean salad, seaweed and octopus. BEWARE OF THE FOOD. I ordered the bento box here yesterday for lunch at work via doordash and the spicy tuna roll was discolored. I gave it a try and ate two rolls, but it was definitely fishy. I like the atmosphere of this sushi restaurant. I came during the lunch hour. It's not too busy, service is quick, and servers are friendly. My only issue with my experience is the food. The avocado in my rolls were very brown and were unpalatable. My other dishes were yummy. I'm not sure if they were just trying to get ride of overly ripe avocado today or what. For dinner all you can eat is about $23, which was great for the amount of sushi that we had. My favorite was the Eagle Eye with spicy Crab inside of salmon. It was sushi redemption from disappointing experience from another place. Wifey made me go to the outlets and so I decided if I have to go through all this I deserve AYCE sushi. We were a little hesitant because the joint wan't listed on the GPS anymore. I couldn't lose another sushi place that I love but all is well Fujiya still stands. In the that little shopping area with the wird kids club or something. Their were more chefs that night, one checked out my wifes but as she got up. lol I saw him and he tried to play it off. Everything was good that night but the all out winner is the squid sushi. So good, so tasty. Second runner up was the albacore. My husband and I love Sushi and despite already having found our so far favourite spot in ventura (Sumo) I let him talk me into trying this restaurant. I told him to check yelp and based on past reviews we picked this place. Bad idea... unfortunately.... the only good thing was that we were seated relatively quickly and the place is decorated very cute. The food and service would get a clear F for failed. My husband decided to go for all-you-can-eat and ordered two oysters and two mussels and 3 more rolls. He LOVES oysters usually but he didn't even touch his 2nd one after almost throwing up the first one. He said it was really gross. Not fresh at all and he was sure these oysters have been hanging around for a few days already. They were also not served on ice. He also left one roll on his plate almost untouched as that one wasn't fresh either. Same with my two rolls - not fresh. I didn't finish my 2nd roll as it was too greasy. It took really long to get our orders in, they almost served us the wrong rolls and it took long for us to get our actually ordered rolls. :( When I asked for more ginger to have at least a little bit of freshness in my rolls it took her forever to bring that along and when I reminded her of it she realized she had forgotten about it. I think she was trying really hard but she was the only server for our area so I do feel bad for her. The water was served without ice and the beer my husband ordered was not chilled either. I feel like the fact that they offer all you can eat doesn't make them focus on quality really but rather on quantity only. Not sure how this place gets all these good reviews... Maybe in Camarillo this is the best place they have? Try Sumo (or the Sushi place in Victoria Village) in Ventura and come back here and you will know what I mean. Quite possibly the best All you can eat sushi I've ever gone to. Unlike some other places, they don't slack off in making their sushi taste and look good just because it is all you can eat. The price is decent but isn't anything special. The interior design is well made to fit the mood of a proper Japanese restaurants. Not only are their booths and sushi bar to seat at, there are rooms with mats with paper-made sliding doors, like the traditional buildings of Asia. If you ever want to have all you can eat sushi made-to-order, this is the spot. Pros: They have a nice atmosphere. In addition, they have television screens so you can catch a game or keep up with the scores. I also noticed that they group rooms where you can dine traditional Japanese style. As a loyal patron of this place, I can definitely say, they give you the most 'bang for your buck'. I'll admit, when I heard there was an AYCE sushi place, it didn't sound so great thinking, the quality might be bad. But as it turns out, the quality of the specialty rolls and the yellow-tail is top notch. If you do decide to venture to Fujiya you will get hooked with AYCE here for a couple of reasons: The first one, is to take friends who don't usually eat sushi. When all my friends have come over the years, they learn to develop a certain taste for particular rolls. Then after a couple of months, they want to do it again, only this time, try other things. With AYCE, I can look like a 'don' and pay for as much as they want to eat, without hurting my wallet in the process. The second thing about Fujiya is the staff sort of 'grow' on you. After a while, the staff will recognize you, and get to know your family. I like to bring a few of my family members there to spend time with them, and they appreciate my patronage. Yes, there were times where it was just packed and service was a bit slow. I have been going to Sushi Fujiya for about 4 years now at least 4x a year for the AYCE sushi gig. We always, always order the Monkey Balls, Volcano and Pizza Roll! You get 3 rounds of Unlimited sushi, *of course sashimi isn't included*, however calamari and vegetable tempura are included. Over the years we've been going I have noticed that the amount of meat/fish have diminished. they put more rice now which makes you underestimate the amount of sushi you think you can eat! It was delicious and no one hovered over like what was mentioned in previous reviews. It was also slow but the waitress was great. She came back periodically and I could only do one round. My friends and I came here fore lunch AYCE and took 30min to get first order of rolls and I did not get my sushi and salad so I asked the waitress how much longer it takes, and she said "it will be right out". So I waited another 10min (BC the waitresses are never around the floor. They were on the other side) and I asked again and the waitress said "you have not asked about the sushi". I was like wtf. I wanted to get out of that place as fast as possible so I just signed the paper without writing total amount and left a penny for tip then walked out. Worst part!!!! After few days I was checking my bank statement, the sushi place charged me 26 instead of 21.They wrote down the tip amount and fking charged on me. So I called to get my money back but they don't even admit that it was their fault and saying 'it is a mistake'. It is definitely not a mistake!!! It is clear that they wrote down $5 tip!!! The all you can eat price is a little high but if you get two or more rolls it equals out the cost of buying a roll individually. This sushi place has really great and fresh sushi. I love how they have all you can eat. If you can eat a lot it's definitely worth your money. My favorite us their monkey ball and the rainbow roll!! The fish just taste so fresh on the rainbow roll and the monkey ball has such an explosion of flavor! If you do decide to do the all you can eat though, you need to finish everything you ordered otherwise you pay a fee. Can't take it to go. Just like any other all you can eat place. Went here last Thursday for the first time. I did not do the all-you-can-eat sushi as I get full at two rolls. It only pays to do all you can eat if you can do three rolls or more. Three rolls would leave me feeling very uncomfortable. I had the albacore garlic roll and it was very good. Fresh fish The salmon philadelphia roll was good, but I have had better. It wasn't bad though --the fish wasn't the most flavorful salmon. Although I usually get a Japanese beer, they offer domestic beer for $2.99, and that included Corona.
