I love going to this place since there are a lot of options for unique speciality rolls and they are all very good. We had the Mango Salmon which blended salty and sweet perfectly. Home-run which was my personal favorite with the kick of jalapeño. My mother's favorite was the T.T. roll since she loves scallops and they gave us so much! But then told 15 to 20 minutes wait...and restaurant was mostly empty and had just opened...price seemed reasonable. But then asked for spicy sauce and was told they charged for it...I didn't ask for extra...just sauce that should be included...so I said never mind...but then told the lady I had given a tip...she then begrudged a single cup of sauce even though I bought 2 lunches. They didn't even include soy sauce or yellow mustard. I'm frankly surprised they included chopsticks and napkins. Our experiences eating the meal, my wife and I found the tiny salad flooded by a watery queasy Asian dressing, a very muscular teriyaki steak, chicken teriyaki was ok, and the miso was ok. The sushi rolls are decent for their price point! You can't really complain when you're getting $10-$12 rolls. I will say that they are smaller than a normal $16 roll from other places, so I'm not sure if that makes up for it. The dragon roll and mudslide are by far the best ones; the sauce on the mudslide is really good! The miso soup doesn't have green onion or anything in it, just small pieces of tofu--i didn't even get any seaweed. My only problem is the Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll, it doesn't taste like anything and is super oily, I wouldn't recommend it. The service itself is fast and everyone is very kind, we were told to holler if we needed anything which is sweet. I remember years ago when this location was in Thousand Oaks, and I remember it being better back then. The WORST sushi place we have ever been to! Got there at 8:20pm on a Friday night. Should have listened to our intuition, it was empty. We were the only ones there. At 8:30 the waitress rudely tells us they're closing at 9 and we need to hurry. She was so rude, almost angry we were there. The water tasted like chlorinated tap water, edamame was quickly microwaved, the sushi plates tasted like there was dish soap left on there, the food was terrible. It was one of the better Udons that I've had. My husband had a Bento lunch of Veggie & Shrimp Tempura and Salmon Teriyaki. It included Miso soup (fine), and a small (standard Japanese Bento) salad. He raved about the Tempura, saying it was cooked "perfectly", and it all tasted fresh and delicious. There seems to be some controversy regarding lack of service. Let's get one thing straight: service does and can lack just like any other place you may go to. Why? Obviously, nobody wants to work nowadays and therefore it's almost impossible to find workers. That said, Yomama Sushi offers very fair prices for their food especially their lunch specials which is basically a bento box with your two choices of protein, side house salad, rice, and miso soup. Their specialty rolls are pretty phenomenal. My favorites are the popeye roll, shy roll (comes on a bed of fire), and CJ roll (#1 bestseller). However, my favorite items overall on their menu are their korean short ribs (aka: galbi), cajun tuna sashimi (think of this as a salad perfect to share between two people), and their tempura green tea ice cream. If you're looking for fancy omakase I suggest going to Calabasas or LA. But if you're looking for a family restaurant with good quality ingredients and lower prices I recommend coming here. Come hungry and be prepared to wait especially Friday-Sunday. I highly recommend coming before their dinner rush (6pm-7pm) to really enjoy everything. read more

The woman that is the primary server looks like she's either owner or manager is extremely rude. We have eaten there on multiple occasions and she's just awful. And when delivery people come in to pick up orders, she's even worse to them. The two male chefs behind the counter are very friendly and very pleasant.
