My wife and I had been sticking to a pretty disciplined eating routine. Clean food, no nonsense. But sometimes you just need a break. So, we decided to try something new -- something off the usual list. We're locals, but somehow Fuhgeddaboudit Wine Bar had never made it into our rotation. Tuesday afternoon, just after they opened -- the place was empty, quiet. Our wine server, Meghan, was behind the bar, along with a woman I assumed was our host. No crowd, no noise. Honestly, kind of perfect. The space had a cool, moody feel. Smoked mirrors on the walls, tin ceilings, blue velour, metal-buttoned bar stools. Neo chandelier-style lighting. Tables for two, neatly spaced around the floor. It was clean -- really clean. The music was a low hum of '60s hippie to '90s alt-rock -- nothing overbearing, but a jazz trio in the corner with a highball wouldn't have been out of line. A flatscreen played old Twilight Zone episodes. No audio, just captions. Somehow, it all worked. We got menus, a rundown of the wine list, and a few suggested specials from Meghan. She was clear -- no script, no sales pitch. Our host(ess)? Solid, confident recommendations, but left it up to us. A few samples -- Meghan poured three to try. We landed on a Tuscan red that had some weight to it, just enough edge without being overwhelming. Lucente? A good call. Then the food started rolling out. First, a board with cheeses, honey, marmalade, pistachios, dried cranberries, peppers, and a lineup of cured meats. Balanced, thoughtful, and not trying too hard. Just good ingredients doing their thing. Next came the tacos -- beef short rib, shrimp, and chicken. Polished but street-ish. Well-seasoned and satisfying. No fuss, no over-styling, other than a black plate. A presentation that reminded me of those progressive young chefs in Baja's Valle de Guadalupe. The short rib taco really popped the wine, so I had to try the sliders: caramelized onion, cheddar, four to an order -- like burger shooters. Perfect. We didn't expect much -- just a little detour from the routine. But the place surprised us. It was calm, well put together, and it actually felt like someone cared about the details. Ridiculously plugged, like a human hotel, I took two of the "shooters" home. We'll be back. read more

What a wonderful surprise here in Wildomar. I found this place on Yelp as I'm always looking for new good places in the Temescal Valley. I was greated with wonderful attentive service which continued through the meal. Faith and the staff were helpful and let me try a couple wines before I picked a glass (which ended up being great). We had the wedge salad, flatbread and beef skillet and all were great. I finished with the bread pudding which was robust and had a slight flavor of a char which was interesting. They also had a gentleman playing the piano which added more to tue classy vide. Cant wait to try Angelo's next! Will be back here again for sure. read more

A couple days ago, I attended a dinner/movie event night, which had a meticulously designed, dinner menu. Every detail was nothing short of breathtaking! What an AMAZING location to stop in, relax, have a drink, and some small bites. Firstly, it's small, which is wonderful, but can lead to a small wait when it's busy. This place is popular and sometimes it can be tough to get a table. They offer wine, a million types, as well as other options like sangria. There is live music in the evenings on the weekends. They offer small bites. The food quality is very high, so the sizes of the dishes are smaller than you may find other places. Trust me, the sliders are out of this world! They are small though. We have tried several dishes here and loved them all! Highly recommend the sliders and the lava cake for dessert. I wouldn't steer you wrong. This hidden gem is a must try. I made reservations by sending a message via yelp, they responded within minutes, it was very convenient. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner, very sweet lady. The ambience was very nice. We ordered the mixed meat and cheese charcuterie board and sliders. The food was very delicious. They had a pianist playing the entire time which added a special touch to the ambience. They surprised my husband with a candle and cake which I though was so special. I paid a good amount to join based on the benefits offered, but after the first month they changed the benefits completely. In addition one of the benefits was a house appetizer which turns out was always a very inexpensive taste. I have always (and still do) love Angelo's and go there or order often. But changing the terms after paying for a membership is unacceptable read more

This is my fourth or fifth time coming here, but my first review. I've always been satisfied with my experiences at this restaurant. As many others have mentioned already, Fuhgeddaboudit is very much catered toward foodies or those seeking menu options not normally seen at other comparable restaurants. When I first ate at this establishment, I had their Beef Tartare which I while-heartedly recommend to anyone adventurous enough to try it. The flavor is on point and the presentation is gorgeous. As for other considerations, the atmosphere is very sophisticated in a low-key sort of way. The restaurant is normally dark, aside from the table lights, which I imagine is very conductive to a romantic atmosphere. I'd definitely take a date here. The choice in music is mostly from the Rat Pack era, though selections are taken from more recent eras. I myself, like that kind of music, but just putting it out there. Anyway, as for my most recent visit, I once again left very satisfied with my experience. I would like to call special attention to the staff who were all very friendly and attentive. One of the owners deserves a shout out for elevating my experience. She was very helpful when it came to selecting my entree and even remembered me from my last visit which made this one feel more personal. As for the food, it was all very exceptional. I tried out the Wagyu Meatball with a smaller sample of their Mac and Cheese on the side. Both were delicious, but I'd like to offer more praise for the Meatball which was perfectly cooked and had just the right texture and moisture. The sauce (made of Gorgonzola cheese among other ingredients) really made the overall dish very satiating. Afterwards, I had an espresso and their creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was actually two smaller portions: one with a vanilla custard, the other with a lemon custard. I enjoyed both flavors immensely. All in all, I consider this another amazing visit. I regret not coming down here as much as I used to, but for those who have the opportunity, I encourage them to try this place out. When you walk in the environment completely removes you from Wildomar, SoCal even. Such an intimate little place, perfect for a date night. The staff were incredible. So friendly and helpful.
