While I was super disappointed at first and almost walked out, I figured since I was already there, I'd finally give their chicken a shot. I ordered the #1 combo: two tenders, fries, sliced bread, Dave's sauce, pickles, and a drink. At roughly $25 to $27, the price felt pretty steep for a takeout tender combo. I know Drake is backed as an investor here, so maybe that plays into the pricing, but it definitely felt expensive. That said, the portions are solid. The tenders were large, super juicy, and well cooked. The Medium heat level was spot on for what I wanted and it gave a nice light kick without being overly spicy. Honestly, the fries were my absolute favorite part of the meal! They were crispy, super tasty, and perfectly seasoned. The Dave's sauce was good, though a pretty familiar flavor profile if you've had similar chicken joints. The pickles added a nice crunch. My only critique on the side is the bread... getting plain white bread slices feels like a missed opportunity. If they toasted it into Texas toast, it would take the meal to another level. The fountain drink size included in the combo felt surprisingly small, especially for a takeout order. The Leslieville location itself is fantastic. The exterior design really catches your eye from the street, and the inside is spacious with two levels. I especially loved the neighborhood-specific touches, like the custom "Leslieville" graffiti art on the wall... it gives the space a great local personality. Service was friendly. Is it a bit too pricey to become a regular spot? Yeah, probably. But the quality and juiciness of the chicken are definitely there. I'll be back down the road but only to finally get my hands on those cheese sticks (and maybe a milkshake next time!).

The ambiance is really nice, really unique artwork, meat was moist I should've ask for spicier that's my fault. Thg has some work to do to improve but overall it wasn't bad.

Ordered the Beef Shawarma Poutine and Daddy Special. The beef was good! Best part was the spicy garlic and garlic sauce that I got on the poutine. Fries were good and so was the gravy, I was worried how they would work together but it was so good that my family made me share.

Chicken place: well there's truth in a store name. Yelp wants to know if I recommend this place:…read moreuh...yeah! It's basically a fusion of near-east (Lebanese perhaps) and Canadian food. They have rotisserie chicken and chicken skewers that can be served with a choice of two sides. I think there were at least a dozen choices for sides. Whether it's the sides or the main course (the chicken) the staff told me they are very passionate about fresh food. They're even passionate about fresh oil for the fries, which are also fresh-cut. The fries were indeed terrific and I enjoyed dipping them in the tzaziki sauce I asked for. Since I was new, the exceptionally friendly staff allowed to to try a couple samples of other sides, such as the tomato and avocado salad and the roasted cauliflower. And my second proper side was a fresh salad with a house-made vinaigrette. I also ordered the lentil soup which I loved. And I went with the skewers for my chicken. My wife was also there and she went with the rotisserie chicken which she said was exceptional. The prices are really good too. They're also known for their sandwiches which are pressed, so maybe I'll give that a shot when I'm next in the area. I'm a bit sad I'm not often in this area, but it may be for the best - as I'd probably find myself here too much.

Probably the fav part of the meal was the fries and the dipping sauce. Would have preferred if it was a bit of a crispier chicken, the lite mild was too mild for me, and the chicken was a bit dry and chewy. The tenders were each really small they gave had given us three pieces instead of two. The interior is spacious with a few seats available for 2-4 people. Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.
