This Frys overall is good from the size of the store, to the selection of products, having a gas station to get cheap but also good gas at as well as put the fuel points to use. It's well stocked, clean, has nice employees and is a good store to go to when needing to go shopping or if there are good deals in the weekly ad. It's especially good for getting cheap prices on items that have reduced pricing because they're near the expiration date or damaged. However, it still has its problems too, but it's not the markets fault for any of the complaints I am about to mention. Getting to the market during the day can be a pain due to busy traffic. Also the parking lot is a pain too because of the angled parking and then there are plenty of one way streets or areas. Also need to watch out for random areas to stop at and the gas station itself can be a pain to drive through due to the amount of traffic that goes in and out constantly. As for inside the store, there is a bit of a weird feeling with the floor feeling a bit dirty and sticky. Also there are produce items that are going bad too that either have not been removed or dealt with. To summarize, the Frys is good but still has its problems. read more

Not a lot of choice up here in Prescott but the staff are great. The selections are ok but limited. Many items missing off the shelves. Produce isn't terrible but limited. Pretty much the same across the board. Seafood is like water in the Sahara. Veal the same way. Prescott needs some more and better stores. read more

I have been shopping here for 6 years. Many things wrong with this store and the only reason I continue to shop here is convenience. Missing items on the shelves, unhappy employees who never smile at you, and a non-hands on manager. Deli continues to have staffing issues as well as the bakery department. This results in them not opening that section of the store or opening very late in the morning. Totally unacceptable. Most of the mornings when I shop there is only 1 check stand open and nobody to bag groceries. Understaffed. I have seen pets in the store that are not service animals and one time the pet was actually on the food conveyor belt. Yet management refuses to address this issue with the customer. Wow could this store be improved. They can take a lesson from the Prescott Valley store which is top notch and I would go to in a heartbeat if it was closer to my home. read more

Generally the employees are very friendly and helpful. Today at 9:15 am, I finished shopping. It took 15 minutes to get a 1/2 full cart. It took 20 minutes to check out because the management won't have more than one check out. It's impossible to use the self-checking machines with any reasonable amount of purchases. There were 8 people ahead of me with entirely full carts. When I finally got to the check out she closed, probably a good idea because she needed a break, she's about 75. This is summer in Arizona, people shop early to beat the heat and crowds. This store is always full and crowded. Management should be terminated.!!! for not scheduling more check outs. read more

I've stepped foot in 21 countries over the years and within this store some of the employees that are employed here are some of the most unfriendliest, nastiest, spiteful human beings I've ever come across in my life. They don't make eye contact, I asked if they could fill the bags up and use less bags and the girl bagger just started handing me one item after another so I had to bag myself. She was unemotional, I thought rude because she didn't speak to me, and the cashier guy acted like he had better things to do than ring us up. I'm getting tired of this store! She did say the FULL word!!! I was shocked!!! Is that in the manager handbook? There is no training!!! This company is in the business of bate and switch! On Dec. 13, 2023 Frys food stores in Prescott Arizona on Willow creek road, advertised a rib roast for $4.97 lb. which they had on that day. On the 14th, I went to get a roast and was told they were out of them. So I went to management and ask for a raincheck or the roast that was in the meat case for that price and was told no on both accounts. So I called the store every day till the 19th and was told that they still didn't get them in and still wouldn't give me a raincheck or upgrade for the sale price. On Dec. 20, 2023 the store re-advertised the same ad. So I called to see if they had them in and they told me no. I ask for a raincheck or to get the one out of the case for the sale price and I was told that they wouldn't do that. I was also told by the meat dept. that they wouldn't get any in for this ad. So now I have no rib roast for Christmas dinner. This is a bate and switch and is illegal! According to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-FTC-HELP because refusing to give a rain check or comparable item of equal or greater value at the sale price advertised is indeed illegal. Like many who have posted, the Fry's store on Willow Creek needs more engaged management. Again yesterday, the deli was closed apparently due to lack of staffing at 2:30 pm. - There was no sign posted indicating it was closed, so folks were standing around the counter area wondering what the hell was going on. The produce employees indicated some have just quit or don't show up for work, I spoke to a manager (female, did not get her name) who came up with all kinds of excuses as to why this continues to be a problem at her store. "People constantly yell and scream at us about the deli." -- I suggested cross training other employees, borrowing from other Fry's stores, incentives, etc. but it fell on deaf ears. She was standing around with another employee taking NO LEADERSHIP ROLE in solving the problem and at LEAST, make sure deli customers were notified -- part of the problem here could be her lack of leadership. They even said, 'Do you want a job?' (insulting customers - this is a training red flag). I tried to reach the district manager at his/her office in the PV store - I was told by an employee that the public CANNOT speak to the DM and refused to give me a name or contact number except to call Kroger -- so I tried to call Kroger and was on hold for nearly 30 minutes - the 'customer service' call taker refused to provide DM info or discuss any issue without answering a series of questions and providing a Kroger club card number. It was like a background check for the CIA -- How this company operates under these circumstances is unbelievable. I really feel sorry for the seniors who come to Fry's expecting the deli to be open yet intimidated to confront the manager when it is not. Even when the deli is open, it is always short staffed -- the store is full of employees buzzing around like ants, but they DARE not enter the deli apparently -- THIS IS SIMPLY A LEADERSHIP ISSUE --- SO SAD -- I have reached out to Kroger by email and IM, but have heard nothing. Finally get to the front of the line and the refused to sell me money orders in the quantities I wanted after the manager didn't "feel comfortable". Store is fine, pharmacy is the worst one I've ever been to, only 1 register open, so there's a 24/7 line of people, and their provider communication is terrible. They're so used to serving old people that when someone is picking up anything other than heart meds, they have to dig through their system and have the pharmacist come over to do it for them. Probably one of the worse experiences in any grocery store any where place or time. If I could rate it a negative I would. One star is too many. Senior day at Frys yesterday: 1) Store is packed, management knows this is the busiest day of the month, and has stacks and stacks of product blocking the entire store. At one point I was trapped in the milk section. The unopened boxes, this is at 9:30 AM made it impossible to navigate the store.. 2) tried to purchase deli, the person working there ignored me for ten minutes. Too busy looking at prep to wait on me. 3). all items are extra expensive, did they increase the price because of senior day? 4) frys used to be cheaper than other stores, now its more expensive with the product in most cases inferior or outdated. 5. try to check out, there are two open checkouts, with numerous other people ahead with full carts, they want you to use the automated checkouts which few use. I'm tired of the construction of the new service area consuming the lot. Most of the ladies working are rude and short tempered. Last week one of them complained about their low pay. The only competitive pricing is in the meat department. I only shop at Fry's Grocery when I am in a pinch. I do buy my gasoline here. No issues at the pumps, ever. read more

This Frys is my favorite of the two in Prescott. It seems to be larger, cleaner, friendlier, and well organized than the other one. When your needing to find more the gluten free section it's super easy to find, it's not all spread out all over the store. They have a lot of good options if you have a lot of food allergies to need to consider. All the employees are super friendly. I will always be coming back to this store. read more
