Maverick District Manager and Maverick Store Manager should be fired. (Horrible adventure) Went to grill and ordered taco's. Menu stated ingredients were to include lettuce. Price was 2 for $5.00. I purchased x 3 for 3 in our family. Cook handed bill of $16.38 which I paid on my debit card. Maverick routine is to pick up food at grill after paying at up front register. After paying $16.38 I took receipt back to grill to pick up 3 orders of the $5.00 tacos. Cook threw one sloped plate of bare looking tacos at my wonderful wife. Cook stated she ALWAYS puts lettuce on tacos except she angrily stated she did not have the ingredients to make the tacos properly. We asked her why she had not informed us of lack of ingredients to make our tacos properly (including lettuce) before paying? We looked at the sloped together tacos and stated "we do want this ugly plate of improperly made and sloped together tacos and want a full refund." We were directed to the up front counter with our complaint to the Store Manager and also the District Manager who was at this Maverick. Both Maverick Managers (lied) to us --- Both stating that the tacos were made with proper ingredients (outrageous lie) which they later retracted as menu clearly stated 2 for $5.00 tacos ($16.38 for three orders) are to made with and including each taco's own lettuce. Outrageous District Manager and Store Manager caught lying about Maverick 's tacos lettuce. Trying to cover Maverick failure! Managers stated they could not give me the $16.38 cash back (debit card) as I desired to avoid bank 3-7 day bank wait for credit return of my money to my bank account. I finally stated OK, just return my money onto my debit card for the mismade tacos. The District Manager acted like a fool trying over ... and over again... and even over and over again but her electronic registers IT would NOT allow her return of funds ($16.38) to my debit card. She held up myself, wife and my son for approxmately ONE HOUR with her IT failures. Angrily, she finally removed $16.38 cash from her cash draw handed it to me and said: "we are done." We have patronized Maverick for more than 13 years, I was a Maverick club member but NOT no more. We live at this Maverick's adjacent Prescott Country Club and will tell all our PCC neighbors, friends and family to avoid Maverick relaying above facts --- (very horrible adventure). Stopped here for gas. At $3.39, it was pretty good price. We also bought some cold drinks and the refrigerator they have keep the drinks very cold! Clerk Tracy was very friendly as well. The gas station amd store have a good selection of drinks, candy, snacks, etc. read more

I drove up to Prescott Valley from Phoenix to drop off a buddies trailer. I had not eaten all day so I came to put gas at this location and saw that they had freshly made pizza. I bought the Hawaiian slice and I'm telling you... It was one of the best pizza slices I've ever ever had. read more

This is the newest Maverik location, if you want to say that the Old location is right next door at the entrance to Prescott Country Club off Rt 69 in Dewey. Yes its a gas station, but its a very nice looking gas station. The interior is very large, and well organized. Restrooms in reasonable shape and cleanliness. The only real downside is that the gas station seems to get pretty crowded. It's rare that I see a service station get so readily backed up. That said, its still one of the better gas stations I've seen. read more

Open, spacious, clean and new is what I like in my gas stations. Its huge in there also. All kinds of goodies to get for your trip. This was my last spot to get gas before I hit Phoenix. It was also a perfect spot to take the Wiener Dog out to go potty. This place is brand new. If you try an look up the address on Google Maps it shows an empty field where this place now stands. Weird. Well lit, spacious, clean, plenty of places for Wiener Dog to potty. The human bathrooms were pretty nice to. As I was walking her around with my dog, I could hear two owls talking to each other in the trees. It was one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard. read more

They place thinks it's appropriate to take more money out of your account than they're authorized to take. Beware this place is a trap. they don't post it at the pump, they don't ask for permission, and they don't even offer to pay interest on the money that they're holding. If you complain they just throw their corporate phone number at you and tell you to leave. Two more stations are right down the road that deserved your business more. read more

OK... a breakfast burrito from a gas station/convenience store? Normally me thinks not... but the MOAB (mother of all burritos) made me a believer. Hash-browns, eggs and cheese join the porky trifecta of ham, bacon and sausage to make this breakfast behemoth sure to fill you up for the rest of the day. Of course all your regular convenience store options are available: coffee, soft drinks, candy, pastries, chips... but go with the MOAB and thank me later. It is still a gas station so, of course, you can fill up your tank if you need to. The location is convenient, the restrooms are clean. All those things make it worth a stop if you're ever on Highway 69.... but I'd probably stop here just for that burrito. read more

A decent gas station, generally fairly clean throughout the store and restroom which is nice. Gas here can be cheaper than other places or more expensive whether you use the rewards card or not, it just depends on when you go there. You will typically hear "Hi, welcome to Maverik!" whenever someone comes through the door but it's nothing personalized, it's really just kind of thrown out there like a reflex. The hot dogs range from little dogs to really large Bahama Mama's which taste awesome, I do wish the had buns that could better accomodsate the larger dogs though. Maverik also tends to be more expensive than other confienience stores so keep that in mind, it's not hard to spend $50 on snacks alone (I've seen it done many times). read more

I'm a regular at this store, living in the country club. We're glad you're here. I would Have only given this store 3/5 two months ago. This store is always busy and obviously very profitable!!! My only problem is please open two registers at all times! And don't leave one guy alone on Sunday. I don't mind waiting a little while, but when 6,7 cust in line??! Please relieve this store some additional labor $$ to cover the demand. You think you are at the stage of diminishing returns, but you are NOT! This gas station is sub par. Almost every time I need gas the pumps are slow or the card reader doesn't work. Additionally, once again...I walk into the beer fridge and everything is warm. This Maverik station has a great location. It's the perfect place to fill up on gas and grab a cold drink before heading down the mountains. Headed south, gas usually is a few cents less expensive here and they have a great selection of fountain drinks inside. read more

Cashiers have 1 main job besides ringing up customers: customer service. From my experience being a cashier in the past and being a customer daily, the expectation is for the cashier to say, at a minimum, a greeting (a simple "hi" would suffice) and maybe a thank you/ have a nice evening. An uncomfortable silence, with the exception of a rudely barked "bag?", while paying does not qualify as good customer service. I don't plan on stopping in again because my most recent interaction with the cashier there was simply unacceptable. read more

I cannot express how horrible this particular location is. My family has been customers for many years and this location has the worst food (if there is even any out), the fountain drinks always have a chemical taste, nothing is ever stocked or clean. I cant even recommend their to go options as I recently bought hard boiled eggs that had been frozen and were full of rotten bits and water. I am a 59 year old business man and I too believe in making a profit and living in Prescott CC for 10 years. I have been a customer of Maverick since the store went up. At first all was great and I knew the people and enjoyed going in. Since it sold everything has changed. Staff started shifting but that could be many reasons. The thing that annoys is the prices you are now charging. Gas is competitive but if you need a drink or coffee, you are way out of reason. Coffee is 1.00 one mile away at the market, .87 at any Circle K and yours must be better because I was paying .89 to 1.20 to 1.69 and today 2.05 for a 32oz refill. That's robbery and it will catch up to you. Believe it or not Maverik has been a neighborhood talk for a couple months now. I told the cashier today that 2.05 is robbery and she said "she heard that plenty before and she has to pay the same price, sorry sir and have a nice day". I'm sure nothing will change but I feel better and the market will now get my money!!!!! I will promise you from this date forward I will never walk into your stores again!!! My card # is 06587 and if I had time I would look up my points, you probably owe me a few dozen free drinks. EM read more
