Coco con nuez y lechera. $3.50!
    Michelle D.

Customer service is not stellar but the older ladies are nice. It's the younger ones that seem to be forced to be working there. Anyway, I LOVE their coconut and nuez raspado. I might go once or twice a year but they are as delicious as the first time I tried them.

A delicious little mom and pop hole in the wall fruit shop. The shop is really clean and there are sooooo many Mexican deserts to choose from. I ordered the large Bionico ($6.50) which feed 3 people sufficiently. I'm most def going back to try the Chocomilk Mexicano

We were a party of over 40 who paid a significant amount of money and we had to ask for water, WATER numerous times. We were told we'd have two dedicated staff members and I mostly saw one the entire time making the experience truly unacceptable. The churro appetizers were stale and rubbery, while the food was OK the service was absolutely terrible. The Restaurant seems to be open to families but the manner in which the female waitresses dress, especially the hostesses, it seems inappropriate for young children. Most importantly, image is supreme over customer service and restaurants need great customer service to survive. The waitresses failed to offer genuine, courteous customer service because they're too snobby or concerned about self image that they don't smile or engage with the Mexican culture/race!!!! And get this....they truly DONT KNOW OUR FOOD, they got lost trying to explain the dish...come on owner don't you need clientele to survive?!? I gave this place TWO TRIES, unless the staff matches the a Mexican restaurant's true hospitable VIBE, NEVER coming back!! AND SADLY WORD gets around. You have a business to run, yet your meeting staff race quotas over true customer service!! P.s. many comments are stating service to be an issue...I noticed the only staff member that showed courtesy and had genuine hospitality was your plate server who had no accent!! That is true genuine Mexican hospitality! Get it together. Your place is as confused as if you were running a sushi restaurant with an Italian staff, it doesn't work, it doesn't match!!!

I remember a video a restaurant serving chilaquiles but in Pico Rivera,I using Yelp to find the restaurant bingo found it the restaurant called Taquearte California/Duran Mexican Bakery in one building. The restaurant cross between Rosemead Blvd and Beverly Blvd in shopping center on the left there's plenty parking on the street. Found parking just walking distance from the restaurant right ways we notice the restaurant is packed but there's a sign to have a seat and wait. We got a staff member hand a menu and order to the cashier. We look at the menu then we notice people were coming in and getting in line behind us. My wife order the Verdes classics not spicy with a egg on top. I order the same item but with egg and steak m,the eggs and steak are $4.50 each then we order our drinks she got Jamaica and I got a Mexican Coke both are refreshing with a meal are having. We're surprise our meals just arrived at the table so quick my wife couldn't wait to tasted the chilaquiles she love the chilaquiles she this were the best chilaquiles I ever tasted she please. First the chili Verde sauce amazing good so much flavor with right citrus acid in sauce that make the sauce good, but chips were crunchy and hold up to the sauce and cheese add more intense flavors to the dish with egg make everything creamy with Yolk it so good. If like chilaquiles you need to come to Taquearte California in Pico Rivera. The staff at the Taquearte California were amazing great with patience and friendly we also give thanks to the cooks and the staff in kitchen thank you.

The prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. The chilaquiles were honestly very delicious and full of flavor -- definitely my favorite item we tried. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the quesadilla. My son did not enjoy it very much. As for the service, it was not the most welcoming experience. The staff mostly stared at us, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable during our visit. this change the atmosphere. The songs were very catchy. The music is amazing, but the steering problem was uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the food itself was enjoyable enough that I do look forward to coming back again and trying more items from the menu.

Not stylish or festive ... but also not loud or off putting either. Basic. 4/5 Food: Traditional and comforting....generous portions. Ordered the chile verde/chile colorado from the chef specialities section of menu....our lovely server Bertha pointed it out since my cousin wanted to try both.....I had the very cheesy chile relleno.....came with generous portion of beans and rice...it was great for me nothing too salty but the two rellenos were only lukewarm tho the cheeze was well melted....it was good and hearty 4/5......chips and salsa free....the chips had a Doritos style color dusting of red 5/5 some kind of spice maybe??...it was fresh and crunchy and kinda thick, we liked it plus the salsa was not hot just tangy....we asked for Pico de Gallo but they don't serve it a la carte apparently. It comes as part of an entree, but never found out which one. Turns out the cook/owner was once the executive chef at Angel Stadium. So food was solid, traditional and nothing fancy nouvelle or la de da...nothing crazy experimental...just good solid Mex that will satisfy a craving. The Jamaica was not too sweet not too sour....not watered down...light and refreshing....wish I had asked for a refill or maybe they don't do refills on agua frescos, I don't know. Very nice extensive menu. Plenty of free parking. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on Roaemead Blvd. Not easily visible from the street in any direction. So pay attention to your GPS.
