I really wanted to try this place.. so much so that I battled Saturday traffic and trying to find street parking. I would say, the açaí is a bit pricey for the what you get, but I get it, since I'm in La Jolla. I ordered the peanut butter açaí and while the bowl was big, it was only filled halfway. Also, the gentleman who took my order could have offered a smile and a "hi." That would have come a long way. I enjoyed the space and after the long day of adventuring the açaí bowl did hit the spot, hence the good rating. Casual. Parking is via street. Please come and create your own adventure.

Fruittitude is a really cute spot in La Jolla that has boba tea, boba slushies, juices, smoothies, coffees, açaí bowls, and other food options. My husband and I stopped here because I was craving boba and it did not disappoint! I asked what their favorite flavor was and they immediately said mango so I was going to get the jasmine green tea with mango and boba. The worker then told me I could get up to three flavors which really excited me! So I got mango, pineapple, and strawberry. It was delicious, tasted fresh and refreshing, and I absolutely enjoyed it all. My husband and got mango and peach jasmine green tea with boba. He really enjoyed his as well! There was seating inside and outside but we opted for outside. They have so many different drink options that anyone going should be able to find something they would like. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in La Jolla and want some great boba tea!

Got one of their bowls - I was excited because as you can see it looks so good/ colorful! But, only the top had chicken etc - about 2/3 of it was filled with rice and lettuce. For $16 I don't think I'd get it again. And, unfortunately it made my stomach upset shortly after eating. :/ Maybe stick to their smoothies/juices or açaí bowls when visiting here.

When I don't have my acai bowls or smoothies, I really get a Fruititude! I loved this spot in La Jolla, and our acai bowl was carefully curated and fresh. I wish I had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the cafe's ambiance during our trip, but I had to order to go! I only briefly explored the menu, but they offer smoothies, boba, coffee, and food options. We knew what we wanted: the Classic Acai Bowl! It consisted of freshly made acai, strawberry, banana, and hemp granola. It was aesthetically laid out well in the bowl and tasted very fresh. If I were in the area, I would return and try more menu items. Also, this is a perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends, as there is plenty of seating inside and outside. I noticed a lot of people hanging around the cafe.

We were walking around Downtown La Jolla when I was craving something cold to drink. We saw a number of people walking around with yummy looking drinks, so I asked someone where they got it and they pointed us in the direction to Fruittitude. Here is what we ordered: Thai Tea: This was so good! I was hesitant to get it because it seemed like a nontraditional asian drink place. However, I was so pleasantly surprised. You can tell a good thai tea is coming just from the color. I asked for light ice, and they told me they actually don't serve this drink with ice. I love my drinks cold without ice if possible, so this was best case scenario for me. This was perfectly milky and sweet for my taste. I would for sure come back for this one! Mango Smoothie: This was the more sour tasting mango. I think it was more Kent mango flavor instead of the smaller yellow ones. It was a bit more tart than I usually like, but overall ok. The employees were nice and helped us through the menu. The only real complain I have is that there was no boba when we got there. I would have given this place 5 stars if they would have had boba for my order. If I am in the area, I will make sure to stop by again!

Visited San Diego last month and all of a sudden I started craving a smoothie, we googled smoothie place near us and this popped up. Long story short smoothie was great, service was TRASH. No acknowledgement when we walked in. My friend asked for suggestions and the girl at the register basically ignored her. I wanted to leave, friend didn't. I definitely won't go back, too many options in SD.

Absolutely love the galaxy lemonade with the boba! Must get very refreshing! The vibes are great and nice to sit down and chat with friends. Service is great and reasonable. Really cute shop! This place has some thing for everyone. I particularly like the Hawaiian Punch smoothie and will drive 20 mins just for it. No other smoothie I've had at other juice places come close to how good this drink is. My son loves the Raspberry macaroons. If you want a drink less thick than a smoothies but still fruity, try the watermelon slush add strawberries.

The acai bowl with peanut butter is my favorite but honestly everything I've tried is exceptional. The ingredients are always consistent - fresh and of high quality. I visit often as I haven't found an acai bowl that compares. If you dine in, the atmosphere and staff are friendly with puppy dogs welcomed on their patio. read more

stopped in for a quick smoothie, placed my order and they accommodated my request for additional peanut butter in my smoothie but the server was a little flat and could have been a bit friendly. i commented on their holiday decorations with a compliment and there was really no response to my compliment. Decided to stop by and see what the rave and stars were all about for this little drink shop. Seriously disappointed. The service was extremely slow and the staff were not very friendly. I had ordered before two other ppl and yet they made mine last. But they did give me large when I ordered medium to appease me. Two good points about the place is that it has some really cute decorations and the drinks are all made with fresh fruit and is really delicious. I'm not sure if I'll come back to this place. read more

Have had this Yelp account for many years and have never written a negative review. The Staff was extremely rude and it was very obvious they did not want to be there. The Energy Booster smoothie container broke and spilled all over the floor. The worker angrily (making me feel worse) cleaned it and did not offer a replacement. At that point, I kindly asked them to refund me, but the unhappy employee, ignored me & gave me a terrible look, so I just walked out. Very disappointing. read more

Who doesn't need a boba milk tea after sea lion watching all morning? Fortitude offers a plethora of healthy smoothies and acai bowls. However, I opted out for something more enticing- large Thai Tea with boba. Clean establishment, fast service, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. If and when in La Jolla village, you definitely should make a pit stop at Fortitude. FYI- only gripe is they have no sugar level adjustment, meaning you better be ready for sugar overload! read more

A cute clean drink place to rehydrate yourself! Came here after the Ho Chi Minh hike (which was really scary and barely a hike) to cool down and walk around in the area for a bit. Ordered the mango tango smoothie to share and it was the freshest, creamiest mango smoothie ive had to date. So good! read more

The interior of the place is so nice and simple. The workers are very welcoming. I tried the taro milk tea with boba. The sweetness level and boba were good, the boba was especially chewy just how I like it. I would definitely come back to try the other items on their menu! read more

I love this place. Great healthy section not overly priced. Fast and friendly customer service. I go here whenever I'm in la Jolla. I've tried almost every smoothie and my favorite is the coffee smoothie. Gives you and extra pep in your step. ALSO the place has WiFi. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Just blocks from the beach. I'm a sucker for smoothies, sometimes I'll just drive to la Jolla to come to this place! read more

Very quaint and relaxing cafe.. I ordered two açaí bowls (coconut and peanut butter) as well as two coconut milk lattes. Came out to $30 :/ I feel that's a little steep for two smoothie bowls and two small lattes, but I will say that the peanut butter açaí bowl was friggen delicious! The lack of that fifth star is due to the exorbitant price and the chick working the morning shift who clearly is meant for the closing shift.. Extremely uncordial. I'll never understand why such healthy and vibrant cafes employ people that seem to be miserable with life.. It was a gorgeous day and with such a cute place, why the bad vibes? :/ read more

I write very few YELP reviews. I recently realized that I have been enjoying FRUITTITUDE for nearly 2 years, so I thought it was only right that I share why I like it so much. I like the variety of drinks, though I consume mainly an iced coffee that they produce especially for me...they have even NAMED it after me! The few times I have tried their food, it has been excellent. I like FRUITTITUDE's 'patio seating', which allows me to watch the passerby in downtown La Jolla. I just LOVE the people who work at FRUITTITUDE. Far from the robots at STARBUCKS (I have been to Starbucks all of 10 times in my life), they are engaging, friendly and funky. I never know when one of them will show up with cool contact lenses or fabulous fingernails! If a friend wishes to meet me in downtown La Jolla, FRUITTITUDE is my first suggestion for where we should meet! read more

I got the juiced stressed reliever. It was very tasty. I liked how clean the juice tasted. It had pineapple and Asian pair and a bunch of other stuff. It's also dog friendly so that's a huge plus! I recommended coming here if you're looking for a healthy drink. read more

We wanted to check out this place based on Yelp reviews. The place looks nice and clean. Five of us came in, and there were 2 workers (one person was making a drink and one person was refilling the mangos and proceeded to make a fruit bowl). For a good longggggg awkward amount of time, none of the employees said a word to us or asked to take our orders. We waited for five minutes thinking maybe they were busy, but surprisingly nobody said a word to us for the whole duration. It was soooo weird and uncomfy so we left. I don't think they even looked up when we left. Strangest experience ever. Felt like we were invisible or not supposed to be there.....? definitely not the customer service other reviewers left. read more

The cafe is on the penthouse floor, at the top of the building. People are doing yoga outside of the cafe. What a great place to do yoga and get something healthy to eat and drink!

Just baked from the oven were the famous oatmeal cookies in caramel and chocolate, looked so yummy I didn't order any but the guy behind the counter complementary gifted a pair to me, so nice, friendly and cool!! Inside the shop didn't appear clean, I would describe the ambiance as divey. Sat outside and shortly my order was presented nicely wrapped sandwich and warm cookies. Took pics and took a bite and my consensus is that I was not a fan of this sandwich because I really prefer smoked turkey and not plain turkey. The sandwich looked subpar, the layering of ingredients weren't assembled as aesthetically layered as it can be and tasted just ok. My pup usually doesn't like smoked turkey or unfresh meats but she liked this plain roast turkey, which means it's more likely fresh and pass her approval. She also ate the contents of the sandwich sans the bread and onions of course. The oatmeal cookies were a real treat and lived up to the hype, kind of gooey, yummy and good for you...hence oats is fiber! As a cheese aficionado, this shop is not really a cheese shop with no abundant cheese selections. The shop should just be named sandwich shop, since sandwiches and candies seem to be their cash cows. They had several kinds of chocolate, and I chose the Belgian. Then I got both of their kinds of pistachio, regular, and then chocolate covered (kind of like Dubai chocolate, I guess). The pistachio was absolutely my favorite. So creamy and delicious. The Belgian was not particularly memorable, but that's on me for not checking which chocolate was most interesting. I might get the hazelnut next time. Anyway, this hit the spot! And it's great that they let me try three flavors in a little cup, so that my treating myself was not a massive calorie bomb. Great place to have yummy gelato with lots of flavored choices, and very easy parking in La Jolla Village Square. Glad to have them in this neighborhood!

I made sure to taste a sorbet flavor, the raspberry, it had great tart flavor and not icy at all. Next time I'd try more flavors, although I wasn't sure how many was ok to taste. In the end, I ordered Pistachio Gelato on a Waffle Cone. The waffle cone was delicious and it had a slight amaretto or almond? flavor to it. It reminded me of pizzelle. The pistachio gelato was reminiscent of salted pistachios. It was fresh, smooth, and flavor was spot on. Tasted real and not artificial in any way! I really enjoyed it. However, the price was on the expensive side. They use real ingredients and make it fresh everyday which is great to hear. The cookies looked delicious in the case, the price however was not justified. The cookie is thin and the $6 price was just insane. I tried the chocolate chip one which had great dark chocolate notes. And I had the oat lace covered in chocolate with maple cream sandwiched inside. That one I was excited for but it was really disappointing. It tasted borderline burnt & the maple interior was very oily. I've had better chocolate lace cookies from Trader Joe's. Overall, I'd recommend the gelato & sorbets if you want to splurge on a dessert! They also had affogatos if that's your thing.

There are plain, everything, poppy, salt, and sesame bagels with a number of schmears, some flavors which appear to rotate. I chose the 3 bagel pack though there was a wait for the poppy so they gifted me with a 4th bagel which was nice. The poppy bagel, while incredibly messy, was uh-mazing with the scallion cream cheese. Definitely save said tub of cream cheese for later. I ate it outside at the tables, grabbing a paper plate and utensils from the front counter. The bagels were quite dense and chewy though the outer layer not as crusty until it cooled. This did make it a little annoying to cut the bagel in half to schmear the inside. My strategy to eat another bagel the next day and freeze the others after they cooled proved to be the best. I just defrosted the next bagel in the fridge the night before. This prevented them from getting rock hard, a constant complaint, as I've been told. While the amount of carbs every day would cause many to pause in this toxic carb-fearing world, to me carbs are fuel. Never ever fear the carbs and eat your bagel enamored heart out!

I was blown away at how delicious the French Toast was. The name is the "CARAMELIZED TAHITIAN VANILLA BEAN FRENCH TOAST with Fresh Blueberries or Bananas and Chantilly Cream, or a Grilled Pineapple". Jade gave away the secret ingredient to me and I was impressed. An applied Maillard reaction with brown sugar brought the French Toast a new level of yumminess. The Chantilly Cream took it over the top, not to sweet and very creamy. Yum!!! Also tried the "RASPBERRY TRUFFLE MOCHA St. George Vanilla Bean Vodka. I popped in here while having my phone fixed the next block over on Herschel. The staff were uber friendly, and very attentive.. I had the green smoothie which was very smooth and delicious. I actually drank it all before I though to snap a pic to upload for all you other yelp'ers. Also had an almond cookie to give some added crunch to my meal. I felt the smoothie was a bit over priced but hey, it is La Jolla. The shop had a good vibe as I sat on the patio and people watched. They are dog friendly, which is cool. I will have to bring my dog with me next time. Also though the flavored water was pretty darn good as well. Would have given 5 stars if the price was a little better, but all in all I would recommend and come back when in the area. read more

No coffee or expresso available 35 minutes prior to closing? Server stated the machine had been cleaned already for the day and offered me a cold press coffee instead. I watched my daughter enjoy her açai bowl wishing I had a hot coffee. They also ran out of Boba? And they told us that they didn't have any boba after getting the drink without boba. They offered popping boba but my daughter didn't want that. Acai was great. Come earlier in the day? Things on menu may not be available when you come here. We won't be coming back. read more

My favorite smoothie, juice, and boba place near me! I come here about 5-6 times a week. The people are friendly and super fast. They always recommend different smoothies and juices based on what in feeling that day. They also are great at adding in custom ingredients into my drinks that aren't listed. I find this place the least expensive smoothie/juice place in la Jolla and one of the fastest, yummy-est, and nicest! They are awesome and I highly recommend! read more

I love this place. I am from chicago and we come to San Diego for a conference every year and this is one place I have to visit. It's on my MUST list. Their acai bowl is to die for! I just started working in La Jolla and was craving an açaí bowl when the sun came out on my lunch break. I fount this place on yelp and gave it a shot. YUM!!! Ordered the coconut açaí bowl, and it is tasty. The fruit toppings taste fresh and the granola is crunchy! Very friendly workers and the price is comparable to places around the area!
