I came to visit my family and my sister in law brought me to do a tasting. We ended up coming three days in a row! The owner is the Willy Wonka of wine! There is nothing like a person who loves their customers and what they do! He made me the most perfect sweet wine that tastes like a banana split! The first time that we went was absolutely phenomenal. June was dealing with five different people with a very different flavor pallets, and she was able to accommodate all of us. She was being friendly and just a delight to work with. We all walked out of there with several things that made our weekend amazing. The rock hunt was very fun. I thought it was very creative and for everyone to be interactive well someone else was discussing what kind of flavors and jars they would wan so no one felt pressured to rush and just pick something and not be happy about it. Flash forward to today they drop the new banana oil it's back in stock and I had messaged them about it and they responded very quickly explaining how bitter it was and what they could do to sweeten it up. They explain the whole process what my options were they went above and beyond I wasn't able to go today due to having the flu and I had to send my husband so between them and him. We came to town for another winery, but found this one and absolutely loved it. Dan (owner) will take care of you. He dials his wines to match your exact tastes and notes that you enjoy. Five stars for being different, fun, conversational, and relaxing! Fruitshine is worth a stop. It's about 36 proof (18% alcohol) but does not taste boozy. Lots of flavors from which to choose, and mix and match. The fruitshine is fresh and light, with a hint of vinegary aftertaste, but who knows, I'm not a sommelier. I visited this winery for the second time with family/friends(with Beyond the Vine wine tour). June our "Wine Guru" was phenomenal. She handled all us ladies (party of 11) with care, fun, and great wine tasting. We particularly like their unique way they make their wine. You will not be disappointed with this place!! Very Disappointed! After waiting patiently one hour, in the 90 degree heat with the promise to be "next", we were assured we would be able to taste soon. After others were allowed in before us, we decided to head back home to Fort Wayne. Apparently, the waiting list didn't work the way it was suppose to. There was no communication between June, the Hostess and her bartenders. We don't expect much; however, this was very disappointing experience. Thank you for taking the time to respond. While we were not offered anything while we waited, that may have offered relief of waiting. We appreciate the measures every business takes to stay open during challenging COVID times. read more

What is Fruitshine wine: It's wine made out of tree fruit. There is a pound and a half of fruit in every mason jar - yes that's right, the wine is packaged in mason jars which you can reuse. The wine taste like liquid fruit. You can mix different wines to increase the sweetness and complexity of the taste. The owners and their staff take the time to explain everything during the tasting. Additionally their grounds are beautiful. They have it set up to feel like home so can just grab a seat out in the yard and enjoy yourself. Visited with my husband and mother. We were visiting wineries and found this place south of Monticello by Patton. They offer free tasting. Fruitshine comes in quart jars. They offer different types of apple: fugi, honeycrisp and jonamac. Other fruits are: pear, peach, cherry, plum, grape, and apricot. They are dry, semi-sweet and sweet. The server starts out with your preferred taste, lets say dry (fugi apple) then adds a bit of sweet (harrow pear) to it. Brings on an all new taste. Their customers have a few different favorite mixes. Every quart contains 11/2 cups of real fruit. No sulfites or sorbitol is added. It was the best place we visited. Let me start by saying I'm not a fan of sweet wine which is what this is. I tried to keep an open mind because in the summer I can usually make an exception here and there. I didn't actually enjoy anything from here. Everyone in my group of 9 loved it though. So I'm guessing it was just me. I will say the grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. It needs to stay refrigerated so maybe plan ahead and pack a cooler. They do sell insulted coolers for cheap though if you forget. Plan ahead on bathrooms though! They don't have one!!! read more

Very down to earth people working there, many choices of wine to try,you can even have a glass of wine in little mason jar, and sit near the pond or garden. Wine is made on the premises.
