Making Christmas trees and drinking wine!

I love this winery! It's so cute and rustic. Prices are very reasonable in my opinion. And there's a winery dog named Port. How adorable, right? The only thing sad about it is the location. It's kind of in the middle of farmland Indiana. I just did an event here and it was super cute! Would drive the 1.25 hours to do it again.

Amazing Host, staff & Wonderful wines. Our favorites wines where Fence Row White and Fence Row Red. Randy was such a great harvest host. He was so incredibly knowledgeable on wine making and opened my eyes to a few new wines I would have snubbed my nose to before. Randy I will not "prejudge wine" by its name or grape again. Your the best. We will be back and we will be buying more of your wine. I want to add .. They also have a bird sanctuary here. So many beautiful bird songs to listen to while sipping wine and doing morning yoga in the field. It was a great experience.

This is an amazing place that has put a lot of love, care and attention into everything they're doing. We drove in in our truck and 30 foot RV and there was plenty of room to maneuver. Signs were very easy to follow, it's only a few miles off the highway and it was a beautiful drive. They are very conscientious about these crazy times and we felt really good about visiting. Masks, hand sanitizer and social distancing was well implemented. Wine tasting is free and the manager was very knowledgeable about all the great wines we tasted. I highly recommend this place!

Great service, atmosphere and outdoor seating area. Worth the trip even though their Wine selection is limited, especially if you prefer sweet wines.

Free wine tasting and cute outdoor seating, what more could you need? Stumbled upon this winery coming back home to Indy from Chicago and fell in love! It's a little off the highway, but they make up for it with the free wine tastings. The staff was super friendly. After helping us find our favorite wine, we were able to buy a bottle and sit outside to drink it. They also offer to recork a bottle if you're unable to finish. Will defiantly be back.

    Outdoor seating area.. SO CUTE

Awesome winery, great staff, great atmosphere, & their wine is to DIE FOR!!! Once a month they have concerts with bands, food vendors, wine, and wine slushies. PLUS they're dog friendly!!

The is a great winery and took it on my (Beyond the Vine tour) with family/friends. The staff was so friendly and the wine selection is great. I took Sweet White & Rose, but recommend the Trimenette as well. The out door seating is awesome as well.

Great wines! I usually only find one or two that I like. But I liked them all and loved some. We will be back.

She was polite and engaging as she hustled to serve samples, make wine & slushee flights and...make food! Amanda ROCKS!! It's been a few years since we've been back. They moved the tasting from the house to a newer facility. The outside is attractive and open. Inside comfortably seated 30+ people. The winery has adopted a different "theme" every three months. This moments theme was the 80's. The whole place, including the restroom, was decorated in the 80's . Even the food menu and the slushee menu were 80's themed items. Very creative. Though this may not appeal to classic wine drinkers. White horse has a wide variety of wines to try. We focused on dry whites and reds. You won't find many unique tastes. However the standard brands (Pinot Gris & Noir) have good tastes with nice flavors. The glassware was very attractive to accent the wine. You need to try the custom made wine slushee flights if you want something other than a glass of wine. These look fun and very tasty

No yak milk (booo!), but there is wine. However, I must warn all of the people who prefer dry wine:…read moreThere is no dry wine here. It's all sweet. Even the driest of the wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon, is very sweet. So, if you love sweet wines, this place is for you! Right now, they are only pouring a Cabernet, a red blend, a Riesling and a sweet Rose. The grapes are imported, but Woolley Yak has their own vineyard, and the intention is that they will soon start producing wine from their own grapes. You can get a flight of wine, or a glass of wine, or a mimosa, and then you can take your wine outside with you as you explore the grounds. There are picnic benches here and there. There's also a food truck that sells four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches and handheld charcuterie cups. I think food is only available Friday through Sunday, though. I visited with children (well, a teen and an almost tween), but they are a good hang and will play on a playground with the best of them, so we headed straight for the nature play space. The playground was designed to encourage kids to engage in unstructured play, so it has a lot of natural elements all around, like tree stumps, hay bales and logs. My kids are "co-op kids" for life (their early years were spent at a nature-based cooperative preschool), so they thrive with this type of playground. There's also a tire mound to climb, a balance beam to balance on, and a basketball shooting station made from a grain wagon. There's lots of space to run around, and a few trees to climb, too. The big draw of Woolly Yak is the yaks! There are also Babydoll Southdown sheep, Kunekune pigs and chickens that live on the ranch. You can just sit on a bench and watch these animals do their things in their living spaces. Or, if you want a more up-close experience, you can purchase a ticket to one of the animal experiences, like storytime with sheep or tea with lambs. You can also experience brushing the yaks and giving them treats. If you didn't want to do any of those experiences, though, you could just visit the ranch to see the animals for free! There is no admission to enter the ranch or to park. It's a nice place to visit to stroll around and see what you can see.

Decided to check out this new winery that just opened a few miles past Cicero. Since the winery is…read morenew they only had 5 wines (should be getting more in a few weeks) to taste. I will say these are sweet wines so if you're a dry wine person I would go to see the Yaks, not drink the wine. But I love the concept of grabbing a glass or a bottle walking around the grounds and visiting the Yak pen. There is a beautiful pond on site along with a food truck and some picnic tables, which is perfect for an afternoon outside to relax and enjoy nature. The website mentioned sheep, chickens, and pigs, (as well as Yaks) I only saw the pigs and Yaks while I was there however I did not inquire about the other animals, So if you're going for the animals you may want to call as I'm not sure if the other animals are only out certain times.
