I'd never had Boba before. One of my friends brought me here to try it out. I asked to taste the actual boba. The person working asked me if I wanted cherry or peach(?) I asked for cherry. It was yummy. It reminded me of a fruit gusher. I asked for a pineapple boba. I saw her reach for the brown boba. I was super confused because I thought she was going to give me the cherry that she suggested. I quickly stopped her and asked why was she switching to brown when she gave me the cherry flavor. She said that the brown boba is what they put in the drinks. Long story short... I was super confused. Since she added the brown boba I asked her to do the mocha flavor instead. It was okay, It was reasonably priced. Under $10 for two isn't bad. The second time I visited I knew that I wanted to order a fruity flavor. I ordered their "pina colada" which is pineapple and coconut. It was SOOOO delicious!! I wanted another friend of mine to try it out so I suggested that we go when we were in that area. The lady behind the counter was super confused when I told her my order. The cost for two was $19+. I was confused about the price spike. She kept leaving from behind the counter and walking to the frozen yogurt area. A group of 7+ came in, she took their order and still hadn't made our drink yet. Once she serviced the group she made our order and it looked completely different from what I ordered previously. It was super milky and the taste was even different. My second time visiting was my favorite. I also noticed that every time I visit the place isn't tidy. The front counter is always sticky and the floor has debris and spilled spots on it. I thought that maybe it wasn't as clean since it was towards the end of the day the first two times that I visited. I don't think that's the case. Best frozen yogurt I've had in a while. I tried the non-dairy, nonfat pineapple and the nonfat vanilla. Both were amazing. I tried a sample of the butter pecan and it wasn't quite as good to me as it seemed to have a slight chemical taste. Vanilla will probably continue to be my go to. They have six or eight flavors for anyone who likes variety. Also, the toppings available range from fruit to nuts to candy to boba, to syrups. About anything you would want or have seen used as a topping they probably have it. I cant speak to the toppings or their freshness. I don't usually get any. They sell their yogurt in cups by weight. The yogurt and toppings together are weighed as one per ounce for the total cost. I didn't try other items, but when we ate our yogurt, many people came in for drinks. These people are very inconsiderate especially towards the black community. I would not recommend coming here whatsoever. As soon as I came in the service was extremely rude and there were not understanding at all. I realized that I had been charged for 3 boba drinks when I only ordered 2. I politely told them about it and they only denied and blamed me when it was a miscommunication. It didn't help that she also had a heavy accent and made no effort to effectively communicate. I called to see if they were open and no one answered the phone. Came to the boardwalk anyways and saw they were open so I came in because I was craving boba. There was no line and the ordering process was easy. A small boba milk tea runs right under $5. Service was quick and the staff was friendly but I don't recommend the honeydew boba here at all. No dairy items and you can choose to have no added simple syrup, or use splenda instead. This is everything to me. I like the option to limit my sugar intake. Soft and still chewy. I am pretty certain that they use honey on their boba too, which adds a floral note. The place has always been really clean each time I have been as well. I'm surprised by the bad reviews because I've had nothing but good experiences here. I used to come here all the time when I was getting my undergrad at UNCC. It's conveniently close and right where the Boardwalk is. My favorite is the banana milk tea and avocado milk tea. Most of the drinks I've had here are all milk teas and they're really good. They also put a decent amount of boba in there. It's nice that there's a self serve froyo station as well. I prefer the milk tea over the froyo but it's still pretty good. There's lots of toppings to choose from as well. The reason for taking off a star is that their smoothies are horrible. I'm not sure if it's changed but the last time I had it was 3 years ago and it was completely tasteless. So I recommended either the milk teas, coffee, or froyo for this place. The owners are really sweet especially the husband. I've noticed people complain about the wife but she's really nice from the few times I've met her. Maybe it's because I'm Vietnamese but I've always had good customer service here. It's still my favorite place to get milk tea in Charlotte. We luckily found this place in the university boardwalk, its a small suite next to the wine vault. I was surprised to fine how cheap it was in comparison to other chains like cha for tea or lollicup. We've come here a few times now and I like to get the thai iced tea with no boba and half ice...I always will get half ice here because I realized they liked to rack up on ice from the first purchase. My boyfriend loves the taro (a little to starchy for me) but he gets it over ice vs. the slushy menu option. This place is great to crush your boba cravings. I came in here about 10 minutes before closing and I wanted to try the boba and the employee kept me here past closing just to help me pick out a flavor. Talk about great customer service! I love, love, love fruit cup! I'm a big boba tea person and this place is in a great location and I always get really amazing service every time I go. It's pretty cheap I'd say, and the quality of drinks you get are what I would expect. I've been to several boba places on the west coast, LA, Vegas and Hawaii as well as NYC boba on a regular basis as I'm from there. This fits the bill really well and is exactly what I would expect. After eating at the Vietnamese restaurant, we got some yogurt. Most if not all you're choice said they had live cultures (healthy). The yogurt weren't very sweet like most places.
