Our main motivation for visiting was to see Jordan and Cowan, both of whom previously worked at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. Jordan noticed us first and came over to say hello and share an update, and Cowan followed shortly after to do the same. I enjoyed two Sazeracs on the rocks for $10 each; unique to Hooked, this iconic New Orleans cocktail is a spirit-forward blend of Elijah Craig rye whiskey, aromatic bitters, a sugar cube, and an absinthe rinse, finished with a bright lemon twist. We also shared the happy hour wood-fired grilled oysters Reggiano with butter, garlic, blackening parmesan cheese, and salt for $19, though they tasted very salty. Additionally, I had the happy hour lobster roll on a toasted buttered brioche roll for $21, substituting the french fries with a side of coleslaw. It tasted quite similar to the lobster roll at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. I finished my meal with a happy hour draft Evo Lot 3 beer for $6. Our bartender, Jon L., served us very well throughout the visit. The total bill was $128 excluding gratuity, which featured a 3% credit card surcharge of $3.57. After applying a $50 gift letter discount, the final bill was reduced down to $81. We all agreed that we will certainly return to visit Jordan and Cowan again.

Chill breakfast vibes & a dog friendly patio!…read more OCEAN CITY, MD: Malia's Cafe was the perfect final stop on our OCMD trip, a cozy breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot with dog friendly outdoor seating and all the classic comfort‑food vibes. Fresh dishes, breezy air drifting up from the beach, and a comfy awning that keeps you shaded make it such an easy, relaxing place to start your day. Simple, delicious, and super welcoming, exactly what you want before heading home.

We saw some good ratings and gave this place a shot and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who helped us make the right selection. As my wife was fasting, she went with a small fruit bowl, my son chose shortstack pancakes, and I tried the veggie hash. The fruit bowl was decorated well and had plenty of variety. From blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, watermelons, apples, bananas, and others, all the fruits were fresh and perfectly ripe. The pancakes were very large and just one would have been more than enough for two people it seems but they even added berries for my son on them. The veggie hash had lots of potential. It was cooked well, however, lacked seasoning. It seemed slightly bland and I had to utilize ketchup to give it some identity. However, the quality and variety of veggies inside was great. Overall, I am giving four stars due to the fact that the prices are high, but the service and quality are worth it; especially for such a close location to the boardwalk.

I ordered the Chicken Taqultos app (asked for Mole sauce, EXCELLENT) & then the Platano app as "my dessert" served just about when I was finishing up the last Taquito which is exactly what I wanted. Everything was DELICIOUS. Hubby had Burria Chimichanga with consume and he devoured it, loving every minute. I did try a few bites and agree, excellent. Portion size was HUGE and definitely a lot of good quality meat filled the entree. I always recommend friends coming to OC to go here for a meal. Only bad thing for me is no more Tamales which was my Fav, but told they will never bring them back, boo hoo. But, I try something new each time & all good. I did notice this time around that many of the items are meatless and you now have to pay extra to add chicken or beef.

But we were doing different places and this was a new lunch pick. We started with the elote on the cob which was good - I would have love to have more cheese and mayo covering. It was really only on the top. We shared a variety of Birria tacos and the MTO tacos - carnitas with cheese and jalapeno crema. The Birria tacos were very good - added cheese inside and a large bowl of the consommé to dunk them in. The consommé was really flavorful. Large place with fun colors, tv screen and a large bar area.

We have been in September the last few times, so technically off Season. That shouldn't matter on the quality of the food. But apparently it does. The server was great. No complaints there. The food I got a scrambler and it looked like Slop, which yes a scrambler usually looks like things thrown together. But it had thick glob of cheese that was like thick and dry, and not melted at all either it had just been sitting there for a while and hardened, and underneath it was hiding old reheated dry potatoes. Bacon that look like it's been reheated just not good. The only thing I think that was freshen were the Eggs. English muffin didn't have any butter on it. Not sure if they put anything on it but my boyfriend's French toast was too cold wilted pieces of French toast that had a pound of butter slapped on. I think the butter from the whole restaurant was on his plate. I mean, we won't even feed our dog The waiter came over to ask you if everything was great and my boyfriend said no can we just have to check and then when he asked what was wrong we told him. And at least they gave us the food free of charge. We didn't eat any of it and I tipped the server because it wasn't his fault but we will never be back. The past couple of times we've gotten a fresh squeeze orange juice and it's not freshly squeeze at all. It used to be years ago, but this place has gone downhill. I don't know if you're doing one thing during in season. You should still be serving good food when the season is over like why should it matter. We gave enough chances, barn 34 no more.
