I was running some errands in Chandler and stopped by Fruit Daddy to grab one of their delicious "antojitos" (little cravings). Fruit Daddy has been around a few years and has a menu consisting of fruit, shaved ice, drinks and light appetizers. They have a huge menu on their wall with pictures that I found very helpful in deciding what to order. It can be a little overwhelming ordering here because they have so many menu options. I am a big Tajín guy and like to put it on all my fruit. So I ordered their Fruit Cup. It has a nice blend of sweet and spicy and is very colorful because of the variety of fruit that they use. I also ordered an elote entero on the side. I love elote and really enjoyed their version of it. Fruit Daddy looks like a great place to stop in for something to cool off with during our hot summer days. They are a little difficult to find because they don't face the main road and parking is tight. But other than that, service was nice and my "little craving" was the perfect snack. read more

Came in to have a cup of corn and a Mangonada. The place is small but looks clean. The lady who helped was very friendly. The pictures on the wall of what you might wanna taste. They also have daily specials during the week. Now the corn it was a bit dry. They do not include butter just cheese, mayonnaise, and a hot sauce. I believe this is what makes it so dry but it was OK. Now the mangonadia, this one was also OK. It lacked a little flavor. The toppings which are supposed to be mango or not ripe, green and hard. The fresa con crema was nice and sweet but maybe a bit more of the strawberries. I just believe that for the price it should've been a little better. They do have competition across the street and I've tried that before and it was a bit better sorry but it's up to the consumer just giving you my thoughts and opinions. read more

I come here frequently but this last time I went which was today I arrived around 7:35 knowing they were closing at 8 pm the lady was rude didn't greet us and when I asked for my regular order she looked at me all rude. Then I get my order get home and realize she did it incorrectly not like I can go back they already closed. So upset cause I go there so much. read more

Fruit Daddy allows ability to customize your dessert. We got two Dirty Ice Creams. One with mango fruit syrup/mangos on top and the other with strawberry fruit syrup to flavor the shaved ice. Both with vanilla ice cream. I wasn't the biggest fan of the vanilla ice cream they used. The other dessert we tried was the Gansito ice cream was delicious. If you're going to come here, do not get the elote. The corn is cooked incorrectly and the elote itself was very soupy and lacked flavor. However their mangonada and raspados are good. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I walked in and the teenagers working here were not very friendly. I get it, you can't expect much from teens. According to the signs, mango Mondays are 15% off on mango products and I didn't receive the discount even though I ordered two different mango items. The girl said she forgot when I asked about it, didn't apologize and didn't correct it. THEN, I get home and open the bag to see like 3 slices of an apple when I ordered a manzana preparada (not even a whole apple) I've never seen anything like it. This has to be a joke right? We were looking for a new dessert place and found Fruit Daddy. Not only do they have dessert drinks, cakes, and other delicious fruit plates, they also have a huge menu with so many different elotes options, different types of nachos, all sorts of delicious looking food! They had a huge menu wall with pics of everything, so we got to see how delicious everything looks. The environment was very clean, bright, and new looking. The outside has a cool mural & comfortable patio seating that created a perfect ambience! The employees were incredibly friendly. They explained everything on the menu to us and helped us pick some month watering treats! My husband got the nachos with spicy cheetos, a delicious manglada drink (I can't remember the name of it, but it was AMAZING!) , I also got the same one, & my daughter got the Dirty Strawberry drink. We were all super impressed and can't wait to go back, only next time we will for for dinner & dessert! Also, when we got there it was 8:45. They close at 9. They helped us graciously & 2 other parties behind us. They stayed open & were happy to help each customer! They went above and beyond with the customer service with every person. So disappointed. I'm pregnant and super sick and my husband went to get me a raspado because it was the only thing I could stomach. He paid $10 for one and brought it home and it tasted like straight cleaning products. I am in search of a local snack shop. My go to is always elote en vaso. That is my determining factor whether I'm going to like a place. So I got that of course and a drink called the tornado (Sprite, topo chico, fruit, tajin and chamoy) you have to swirl it like a tornado to mix it. I'm sorry to say that the elote was not to my standard, it was very soupy and the corn was way under done lacking cheese and that limon. The tornado was a great concept just not packing a lot of flavor despite all the fruit in it. The shop is small and parking is scarce. There is seating in and outside the shop. Very clean and you notice that right away. They do charge .75 cents to use your card. All in all I can say I still haven't found my elote spot but the other items may be worth a try. read more
