You can easily spend 6-10 dollars a fro-yo which is mind bogglingly crazy. On top of that, they hand out sample cups, to prevent you from sampling on your own? Seems like the owners are a bit greedy on the money front, and it just overwhelmed the experience for me. Maybe some of the reviews are for people who are not used to the price of fro-yo? This is by far my favorite dessert place in all of Boston. I come here every time after I have dinner around Allston for a quick sweet treat. It's definitely a good date spot. Get your self-served froyo, choose your own toppings and sit down with your sweetie to talk and eat your creation. They also have a divider for both cup sizes so you can share a cup with someone, so I always do that. I am so excited this new FroYo place opened up! I love the decor of this place. It's so clean and welcoming and it's a great place to hang out. They have a great variety of flavors and they change things up depending on the season. Other places I've been to have tasted artificial or are too sweet, but this place is delicious. They have more toppings than other place I've seen and everything there is really fresh. Yet another froyo joint strikes again. I happened to park infront of their store on my way to dinner, so I stopped in after dinner. Lucky for me, it was their grand opening and that meant discount when you open a frequent buyer card AND a cute tshirt! the decor is clean and simple, well lit so it's bright. I didnt count how many flavors they had...but there was so many to choose from. I got the cinnamon sugar cookie, tasty! a bit too sweet, but none the less, it tasted like a cookie :) I liked that each flavor had an electronic screen showing the flavor and even the nutrition facts. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The topping choices were pretty standard. I was disappointed with the fruit, it didnt look all that fresh and were cut up too large. read more

The atmosphere of Froyo World just makes me happy. The mascot is the cutest thing I've ever seen for any froyo place and the inside is very clean and nice. The pluses of this place are: - 16 flavors of froyo - large selection of toppings - very clean - has a loyalty program where you get 10% back on a card - the froyo tastes really good and true to flavor The minuses of this place are: - the froyo is too watery, hence why I gave it a 3 star. The texture was kind of inconsistent and depended on which flavor I got, but overall it was too watery. I dunno if it was just a bad day or not. - $0.49/oz is somewhat pricey. After the 10% it's not as bad though. I think if it wasn't for the texture of the froyo this would be my new froyo place. I hope it was just a fluke and will be better next time. read more

man, i was impressed. i honestly thought from the outside it would suck on the inside but it's one of the best froyo places i've been to. they have tons of flavors and many are unique. the flavors are listed on individual ipad LOOKING screens. nice touch. the yogurt was the right texture of creamy but not too watery. the have 2 different cup sizes. the smaller of the two comes with a DIVIDER so you don't mix your flavors. what a genius idea!!! they have tons of toppings. they have all the usual fruits as well as many cereals, chocolates covered things, and even small pieces of cakes/brownies. the mochi was nice and soft, not pebble like at some places. they also have waffle chips and about 10 different syrups including nutella! the place is big and well maintained. the workers were friendly and helpful and the made sure to assist all their customers. at .49 cents/oz it's average priced. if you're concerned about price, then don't put in the dense toppings (cake, brownies, etc). i would highly recommend this place read more

Froyo World had my Lactose Intolerant friends and I hooked. With 14 rotating frozen yogurt flavors and a consistent 2 options of different flavored sorbets, it was like, love at first bite. Like other froyo establishments, Froyo World has adopted the do-it-yourself route. The atmosphere is adorable: very modern and comfortable with cushoned booths and LCD screen displays of all the flavors. The is staff helpful and toppings of course plentiful, ranging from the best gummy bears anyone could ask for to chocolate covered graham cracker clusters (which are delish!). A reward program is available to receive 10% back off each purchase and can be used toward a future purchase. Parking can be found on the street as well as in the city lot behind Blanchards. I don't understand this place. The decor on the inside does not match the club beats coming from the outside. That aside, this place is really the best froyo place around Allston. There are more flavors than I've ever seen in froyo place, I think over 16. They have an extraordinary amount of toppings, from all your savory/salty fixins to boba and lychee. There is an insane amount of combinations you can try here. Something I love about this place is the staff. They are always so friendly and personable! I've come here right before close before, and that has never seemed to bother them. If you frequent this place, I'd recommend getting a rewards card. Each time you go, 10% of your total gets put back on the card, which you can choose to use or add up. It's a small thing, but I appreciate it! As far as froyo by weight goes, I've never been shocked at the price at the end either. I got two loaded froyos the other night for around $10. I recently purchased a groupon for this place as I decided to venture out of my usual go-tos for frozen yogurt and try a new vendor. The yogurt flavors here are absolutely delicious! They have 16 flavors and rotate over 100 different ones making for a great variety. I had the Taro, Birthday Cake, and Coffee. All three of them were creamy and delightful. Also, all the flavors are only about 35 calories per ounce with some even less. They have an abundant array of toppings with everything from Lychee to Brownie bites. Literally, anything you can think of they have. I also noticed they have 5 different flavors of Boba which is awesome! I love that they have cheesecake bites. My only complaint is the price with my yogurt coming out at $9.50, but I guess frozen yogurt prices everywhere have gone up and it is definitely safer for me to stick to the non do it yourself froyo places as I tend to go overboard! read more

I honestly can say that I have experienced better and it sucks that this is the closest frozen yogurt place around me (really disappointed that Mixx closed down). Every time I come here, I always have the same experience. The yogurts don't have the right consistency and the flavors are way too sweet. I usually opt out for the basic flavors here like chocolate or vanilla. But they do come out really soft, so you gotta hurry and put your toppings then eat your dessert quickly or else it'll become soupy. The topping selections is really neat and they seem to have a bunch of unique cereals, mochis, pretzels, candies, chocolates, fruits, and drizzles. The self-called froyo "lounge" is perhaps one of the wackiest places in the area (and there are some bizarre places in Allston...) Anyway, where else are you welcomed by a giant M&M-like mascot, listen to club jams no matter what time of day it is, watch Despicable Me as it constantly plays on loop, AND shove your face with froyo? Not to mention, the staff always offers as many samples as you'd like. I've been here so many times they HAVE to know I've tried everything. I'm not embarrassed to admit I frequently make solo trips to Froyo World when I'm really craving it. Obvi I always ask for samples as if I haven't tasted anything, and they never seem to care or pass judgement. Upon entering I was greeted and I asked if I could try the Dutch chocolate frozen yogurt, the girl proceeds to walk with me holding the sample cups in her hand. She goes to pass me one and she puts her entire fore finger inside! How dreadful when I have no idea where her hands have been! I called her out on it and she lied right to my face like I didn't just see her do it with my own eyes! This may have surpassed Mixx as my favorite froyo in the Allston area. Walked into FroyoWorld on a bitterly cold February night when anything cold should've been the last thing on our mind. The gentleman who assisted us was incredibly friendly and helpful and didn't bawk when we each tried 3 flavors. Red Velvet, Green Tea, Vanilla, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and whoa..hold on...Birthday Cake flavor!? Count me in! Only problem is that I also wanted the Dutch Chocolate, but not touching. Zing! No problem at all! FroyoWorld has a separator for your cup. I had birthday cake with fresh fruit (great selection including lychee) and my chocolate with Nutella and granola. Yum! I was skeptical of this new place because about 100 yards away is Dante's frozen yogurt, which is my FAVORITE. But, you don't have to twist my arm to get me to eat frozen yogurt, so I obliged. The space is nice, clean and bright. A little too big maybe because it seems awkward but it's cute, and I like that they use electronic signs for the yogurt machines, it's a great touche. They had something like 14 flavors to choose from.... FOURTEEN! I was overwhelmed. The coffee flavor smelled and tasted just like coffee and was so GOOD, and even had actual caffeine in it. They let you try anything. The toppings range from fruit to cookies, and they even have cake chunks and cheesecake chunks a la Mixx. The price is $0.49 an oz, which is the same as Dante's, so I was confused why it was so much cheaper since I definitely didn't skimp on the toppings. But once I started eating, I realized it's because the yogurt isn't very think at Froyo World, and was pretty watery in comparison. It did melt quickly, but it's not like mine lasted long anyways. I would have no reservations about going back, it's still delicious and fairly priced. I still prefer Dante's however because they have better quality yogurt and fresher toppings. read more
