I used to come here all the time during the summer. My last visit left me disappointed. Usually I always check if they have the pog flavor but they haven't the last few times I went :( Anyway, the flavors that I did get were very runny. This place is so adorable. I came here just for the frozen yogurt and I was not disappointed! They have the basic frozen yogurt selection of chocolate and vanillia (both lactose free!), cake batter, cookies and cream and a few fruity flavors. They have so many yummy toppings, different types of breakfast cereal, gummy candies, chocolate candies, sprinkles, jellies and fresh fruit! They charge $0.63 per ounce which isn't that bad considering I almost filled up my cup for only $7. The place is clean and well taken care of and the sitting is nice and inviting. I discovered yogurt mama 3 years ago during my first trip to Hawaii when my sister took me to this little shop down in Kailua. I walked in and was overwhelmed! It is amazing! There are tons of of flavors and there are so many toppings you don't know what to choose!! I loved it so much my sister got me a gift card to it for my birthday so I could use it during my 4th trip to Hawaii last January. This is by far the best Fro-yo place I have ever been, I actually can't believe I didn't come by and try them sooner. My favorite flavor was the Lanikai Lilikoi, besides the fact that it's one of the low fat flavors; the flavor of it is suburb itself! The store is clean and inviting, and the cashier was friendly. I was excited to try the pumpkin and eggnog flavors. The pumpkin was good, and the eggnog was a bit plain (and I'm a huge eggnog fan). Both were much more watery in consistency than I expected. I also got two other flavors. Both of which were more watery than expected. In general the flavors tasted good, but my whole bowl of yogurt was slush/soop within 2 minutes of leaving the store. I feel like the recipe changed from a few years ago. I'll be sticking to yogurt land in the future. read more

why are these yogurt places always so sterile and echoey inside? nonetheless, what a great new yogurt joint! and no, not the tcby too sweet yogurt type, but that tangy 'hey is this healthy?' yogurt type. who knows about the health factor, but when you ladle it down with the assortment of toppings (PEEPS, head to the fresh FRUIT bar for the MOCHI before putting the junk food on it) it turns into another diabetes inducing sweet treat. my fave at the yogurt place at home was blueberry, and among their like 10 flavors (including the swirls between the two found on each yogurt machine) and i was able to have a blueberry/plain swirl, topped off with some granola. that was sorrily shared with the manfriend. ah well. read more

They recently changed from Yogurt Mama to Frost. The employees at Frost are really nice and helpful but I wasn't a fan of the yogurt itself.

prices have sky rocketed. in my opinion, the yogurt isn't as tasty as it was when the establishment was yogurt mama. the boba is also consistently undercooked. the new owner apparently also sells jewelry? I thought it was just decor around the shop but I guess he makes and sells that as well. Went to Yogurt Mama after a big meal at Boots and Kimo's, but easily found enough room for the refreshing froyo. Loved the mango and lichee froyo topped with the assortment of tasty and soft (fresh) mochi balls that were the perfect size, along with some nice fresh fruit. The decor was great and the place was very clean, with plenty of seating.. Definitely not a hole in the wall. My family and I even bought their nicely designed "Yo Mama" T-shirts. It was more worth it than when I drove all the way to Matsumoto's just to buy a T-shirt and their average shaved ice. Found another excuse to go there a few days later when we went to the nearby beach. Our local friends from Kaimuki said this was the best of the froyo places they've been to on the island. read more

Went to yogurt mama for the first time last Wednesday, and thought I should post my experience. Upon entering I was greeted with friendly smiles from the staff. The place was clean and had a nice vibe and setting. Not knowing what to get, being my first time there and all, I stood and perused the menu. I was then asked by red-haired staff member if I needed any help with the menu and she went into great detail with what the island favorites were, and what were in them, very helpful. I ended up getting an acai bowl with yogurt, it was delicious and made to order. Large portions, friendly staff, amazing yogurt, fresh, clean. Definitely a place to check out! read more

This is the closest thing to pinkberry that you'll find. The nicest part of it is that you actually get to choose any type of flavor you want for your yogurt. They also allow you to mix and match as you please with different types of fruit and different flavors of mochi. This is a must stop location for anyone thats in the area or not. Yogurt Mama is one of the best yogurt shops I ever been to. Their yogurt are mouth watering and always fresh. They have yogurt flavors such as blueberry, cookies and cream, lychee, melon, peach, and strawberry banana. Also everyweek they have different flavors. There are a lot more toppings then a usual yogurt shop. There are over five different flavors of mochi which is more than i ever seen! The seats and tables were very clean and some tables had a cool shape. Furthermore, they had flat screen T.V.s on the nicely painted walls which gave entertainment to the customers.
