topping bar

So many topping options! Granola, gummy worms, cookie dough, strawberries, you name it. So much flavors to choose from as well. Ube is one of my favorites. Compared to Cherry on Top, I would say Frost's froyo is less creamy and more icy. Cute store with LOTS of seating. Wasn't very busy when I went. Definitely recommend!

Came here for a delicious snack on the 4th of July and it hit the spot. A few of the flavors were out of stock but this time I tried many of the fruit flavors and they were good. My favorite was, honestly, just vanilla. I also liked the original/tart yogurt flavor. The pineapple tastes a lot like Dole Whip. I didn't care for strawberry, as it didn't taste too strongly like strawberry to me. The toppings bars are extensive and well maintained. Come here when you want to load up on a fun froyo dessert.

Frost is THE BEST froyo spot on the island!! Theyre family friend and open late. Great spot for a desert spot after dinner! Theres a wide variety of toppings so great for pick people!

Love this yummy froyo spot! I always enjoy coming here for spontaneous froyo dates with bae hehe. I really appreciate that they have quite some options and choices when it comes to flavors. My go to flavors here are Strawberry & Ube (Get it,You won't regret it)!! I got those two ever since my very first visit here and never changed it up since! Plus it was the two flavors that caught my eye. I also think it's amazing that this establishment caters to those who have dietary restrictions (so there's really something for everybody) for example Non diary/diary options! Their topping bar is immaculate ... they have almost everything you'd dream of to add to your froyo , from Sprinkles,Cereal,M&M's,Nutella drizzles, etc etc. My go to toppings (that nobody asked for but I think is THE BEST in my opinion) : Sprinkles,Lychee Jelly,Lychee popping boba,Mango Jelly& Mango popping boba! I occasionally add Passionfruit popping boba from time to time or even fresh strawberries! Also... I recently discovered in this visit that they have condensed milk that you can add on to your froyo ??? It was a perfect addition that made my froyo even more complete! And it will be in my future topping rotations in future visits lol. Oahu only has a few froyo spots unfortunately .. so it's good to have Frost around to hold it down! Prices do vary but it can be pricey at times .. although I feel like that's the case for any froyo spot anyway. But still worth coming to here and there every so often. Staff is pretty average and decent , they are really just there standing around to weigh your bowl and to ring you up. Pro tip: They have happy hour DAILY 8PM-9PM (Closing) , you buy 1 and get the other 50% off!!! Super cool deal and such a steal! If you do come around those hours just make sure you come in on time since the place can get packed for those who are there for the deal!

Loved this frozen yogurt shop! The yogurt was creamy and flavorful, and there were plenty of topping options. The store was clean and well stocked, and the staff was friendly. Perfect spot for a quick dessert.

This is my favorite froyo shop... EVER. Whenever you find yourself craving a bit of winter on an island that's a never ending summer, Frost is the place to come. They have every topping option you could ever want, accompanied by a wide range of sauces. They also offer a lot of lactose free, gluten free, and dairy free options as well. Great seating area for enjoying your sweet treat with friends or little ones.

Yum! Good fro yo I like it. Maybe a little pricey but good. Bad parking situation but just park at zippys or something.

Came here on a day they had a $1 shave ice special which is an absolutely crazy deal. Follow their Instagram for a bunch of deals. They normally happen around a holiday. Service was friendly and taught us how to make the shave ice ourselves. They made about 6 local handmade syrups that we could choose! And the condensed milk was free!!? The ice was a great texture too. Not too hard and not too soft.

Clean store, friendly staff, nice seating options and area for the keiki to play. The yogurt was really tasty, there were lots of options for different dietary needs- sample cups, which was nice. Loved all the flavors and toppings! Will be back for sure :) Happy hour 8-9pm, buy 1 get one 1/2 off.

They said they would be open regular hours today May 25 with a Memorial Day BOGO special. We showed up at 12 pm which is an hour past their opening time. They left the open sign on which was extremely misleading and there was a lock on the door with the chairs still up inside and not a single worker in sight. Very disappointing to have seen the deal and come all this way for it to be closed. False advertisement at its finest.

Nice place for an afternoon snack. Plenty of yogurt flavors, plus a lot of topping choices. They allow you to sample in small cups. They charge by the ounce. It's a little pricey, but good. They have off street parking and the staff is friendly

Tart and cookie dough

Frost is one of the few places on island that still serve froyo, which is one of my favorite sweet treats. They also sell a variety of other treats like shave ice. I got a bowl with plain tart, which is my go-to frozen yogurt flavor. Their plain tart wasn't as good as other ones I tried. It tasted a little off for some reason, maybe a bit watery? They had a wide variety of toppings, and I ended up getting the cookie dough. We went closer to closing and there was a BOGO 50% off happy hour deal. I didn't even realize this was a thing, but it was a nice surprise! There's some seating inside and a few seats outside, and there's also a decent amount of parking in their lot.

The coolest place in Kailua... Frost...simple name complex build as the choices here are mind-blowing! Long gone are the self-serve froyo as covid has basically taken everything behind a plexiglass like a science project where your options dwindle down to a few choices...not here! This cool place on Oneawa Street will have you build your own creation with everything you can imagine and as I had zero intention how all you have to do is just take a short browse around and of course start with the frozen yogurt...and with over a dozen to choose from it can get overwhelming thought once I saw Peppermint and it's twin partner of chocolate that was an instant no brainer...chocolate peppermint twist...bam! Which then there are 14 different cereal, over 20 sweet toppings, then there still the chilled fruits and popping boba section not to mention the syrup bar of chocolate, guava, lilikoi, strawberry and so much more...ya they have LiHing as well! All this was at 0.88 an ounce. There's also a self serve shave ice which sounds like a fun thing to do with so much fun seating zones makes it a fun place to get out of the heat and into Frost zone! Thank you!

This is a very interesting ice cream/boba spot…read more It's actually a pretty small shop, but there are a few bar stools and bar table (6 in total, I believe). Upon entering, there is a table with an ordering menu that you fill out for the ice cream. There are no cones and no "parlor" for ice cream- only written options. The standard flavors of vanilla, creamy strawberry and chocolate are available as base choices. There were two "special" flavors of the day that was kona mud pie and another unique option. You can check off on the menu PER item how you want your ice cream in regards to toppings, syrups, in a cup or bubble waffle, single scoop or multiple scoops, etc. Hubby ordered a boba tea that you don't need to fill out on the menu sheet. I'm personally not a huge fan of boba, but he enjoyed it. The lime grape boba tea was what he ordered. As for ice cream, we ordered the following combinations: -Red velvet bubble waffle "cone" with kona mud pie ice cream and chocolate syrup - Classic bubble waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles - chocolate bubble waffle cone with creamy strawberry, oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate syrup The red velvet and classic bubble waffle were my favorite. The creamy strawberry ice cream was really good but the other flavors were on the sweet side- no additional toppings were necessary- in fact, I think it was overkill (though beautiful in presentation. I would probably come here again with the kids, but these are a little challenging to eat, in all honesty. The bubble waffle as a cone is nice, but not sturdy. The ice cream is nice, though options of flavor are limited. The ordering process is a little tedious when ordering multiple items, but it's understandable in order to get each one right. Cool stop if you're in the area. We walked there from Whole Foods Kailua main road (back) entrance.

Combining the two in one cup was the absolute perfect decision--the rich, crumbly texture of the ube polvoron balanced out the tropical, silky sweetness of the mango sticky rice so well. Island Snow Kailua: Great Shave Ice and Some Wonderful Memories!…read more BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Island Snow has been a Kailua favorite of mine for years, and it was wonderful to visit again! They offer a terrific selection of shave ice flavors, including several all-natural options, and there's plenty of shaded seating outside to enjoy your treat. My biggest recommendation? Get your shave ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream underneath. It's worth it! The Details: I have some really fond memories of Island Snow going back to when I lived in Kailua's Enchanted Lakes neighborhood. On weekends, my son Zack and I would hop on our bicycles and ride over from our house on Alahaki Street for shave ice. It was a fun little adventure for the two of us, and having a delicious treat waiting at the end of the ride certainly didn't hurt! Zack is now 31 years old, which is pretty hard for me to believe! Where did all those years go?! Coming back after so much time was a wonderful trip down memory lane. The Shop: Island Snow has grown quite a bit since I used to visit. In addition to the shave ice counter, there's now a beach apparel shop offering shirts, hats, shorts, flip-flops, and other beachwear. The shave ice shop itself is bright and clean, with a large menu and a colorful assortment of flavored syrups behind the counter. And there are a LOT of flavors to choose from! You'll find everything from traditional favorites to some interesting Hawaiian-inspired combinations. The Shave Ice: One thing we particularly appreciated was the selection of all-natural flavors. Rather than choosing from the traditional syrups, we decided to make ours entirely from the natural selections. Natural options included Laie Lilikoi, Pupukea Lychee, Pineapple Orange, Pua POG, and Haiku Haupia. Our shave ice was a refreshing treat, especially after spending time outside in the warm Hawaiian sunshine. Now, here's a little advice from someone who's enjoyed his share of Hawaiian shave ice over the years. Pay the extra money and get a scoop of vanilla ice cream underneath! As you work your way through the shave ice, the flavored ice melts into the vanilla ice cream, creating a delicious combination that's almost as enjoyable as the shave ice itself. Seriously, don't skip the ice cream! A Nice Place to Relax: Another thing I like about this location is the outdoor seating. There are several benches beneath the shade trees, making it easy to find a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your shave ice. After picking up our treats, we headed outside to relax in the shade. Nothing fancy, just a nice little place to enjoy something cold on a warm afternoon. Final Thoughts: It was great returning to Island Snow after all these years. The shop may have expanded, and my little boy is now a grown man, but the simple pleasure of enjoying a good Hawaiian shave ice hasn't changed a bit. If you're in Kailua, stop by, pick a few flavors, add that scoop of vanilla ice cream, and find yourself a shady bench. And if you've got your kids along, enjoy the moment. You never know which little outings they'll remember, or which ones you'll still be smiling about 30 years later. Aloha!
