Not worth the price, very stingy on toppings. Limited flavors and only allow 3 toppings per yogurt.

We absolutely love going to Andy's Frozen Custard to celebrate special occasions, but today was…read moreextra special! Our softball team (The Cheetahs) got their first win of the season, and our daughter got her first two hits! Needless to say, we had plenty to celebrate! The manager was incredibly kind and let her choose whatever she wanted, then made her special day even sweeter by giving her extra gummy worms and cherries. It absolutely made our day, and that small gesture meant so much to our family. Every visit to Andy's is already a family favorite, but getting to celebrate such a special softball moment there made it that much better. Thank you so much, Team Andy's, for making her day extra special!

Custard doesn't get a fair shake in the dairy dessert world of Ice Cream, Gelato since both seem…read morehealthier, but are relatively not. Any Italian will tell you how rich Ice Cream is compared to Gelato and most Americans wont be able to tell whats worse for you Ice Cream or Custard considering the egg yolks really do make it richer. As a Californian visiting my sister and doing a BBQ tour I was kind of tired of banana pudding, peach cobbler and as much as I love both (also pecan pie). Something about the roasted and sugared pecans really does go with everything. The softness, cold pairs with the crunch and richness and the nuttiness. Rico Suave was amazing, great choice when I asked the staff what they reccomend. I came back the following day to try their turtle split. Something about the hot fudge and custard not being too old really keeps things from freezing. Add the marshmallow cream is a real blend of the regular banana split and the turtle. Service was great, good reccomendations from the staff and friendly locals waiting for their orders. Prices are affordable, portions are large. I can only imagine how popular this place is in the summer, I came during a cold front, a light freeze, a cold snap as you will. Although I walked here I could see the need for more outdoor seating despite seeing mostly car traffic there are neighborhoods and a school nearby. I'm hoping next time I come back they have their seasonal key lime flavors. The only weird things is the chocolate custard machine slowing extruding towards the front which looks alot like something else.

There is a variety of flavors to choose from and free toppings as well. I got the upside down ah-boong which contains a cup of ice cream with a hollow fish containing custard filling. We…read morewalked into a bright, casual space where the focus is really on the desserts being made fresh. Watching the taiyaki being prepared adds to the experience since the fish shaped pastries come out warm and freshly cooked, creating that contrast between hot pastry and cold soft serve that defines the shop's appeal. The signature Ahboong is the main reason to visit, combining creamy soft serve with a freshly made taiyaki cone. The soft serve has a light, smooth texture that feels less heavy than traditional ice cream, and there are plenty of flavors to mix and match. Matcha, ube, cookies and cream, and other rotating options give plenty of choices, while fillings like custard, red bean, and Nutella add an extra layer of sweetness. The taiyaki itself is one of the highlights, with a slightly crisp exterior and a fluffy inside that pairs really well with the ice cream. The warm pastry melting slightly with the soft serve makes the whole dessert feel more complete and satisfying. Service is usually quick despite the popularity of the shop. The ordering process is simple, and the fresh taiyaki preparation makes the wait feel worthwhile. Even when there is a crowd, the shop moves efficiently, and the desserts come together quickly once ordered. The staff handles the steady flow well, and the overall experience feels smooth from ordering to eating. Somisomi feels like a dessert spot built around the experience as much as the food. It is a great place for a casual sweet treat, a late night dessert run, or something fun to share with friends. The combination of warm taiyaki, creamy soft serve, and creative flavors makes it one of those places that feels different from the usual ice cream stop, offering a dessert that is as enjoyable to watch being made as it is to eat.
