We were fortunate to find a parking spot and there is also a on-premise brewery if the wines aren't your liking. We got the wine tasting which had six wines that were all made from Monterey, California grapes. I wish there were more Texas wines here, but they were delicious. We got 3 whites, a rose and two reds. All different varietals. My favorite was the chardonnay. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the wine tasting was around $40. Pretty expensive in my opinion. I wouldn't go for the tasting and focus on getting a glass or a bottle to share.

He tried both the 1942 and the Vista IPA--while he enjoyed both, the Vista IPA was the winner. Since I'm pregnant, I opted for their homemade root beer, and it was absolutely delicious! We went on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to find a farmers market happening. We picked up some fresh veggies and a flavorful garlic pesto hummus--such a great touch to support local vendors. It's in a scenic part of Austin, amongst the hills and close to Lake Travis. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and my favorite was the live music stage set up on top of the bed of a vintage truck outside. For this brewery Steven and I tried one of their beers. We wanted a lighter beer and on the refreshing side since it was a warmer day we were encountering so we got the Dye-It Pils. As the name is a abbreviated in the beer it is a pilsner in beer type and hit the spot nicely. Flavors to enjoy with this beer are a hint of breadiness, crisp, a hint of sour and a clean finish. The beer is light bodied which is perfect for hot weather and bright in color. The taproom for Infamous is cool... it is located in a garage or shed. They're clearly doing more than just cranking out the basics here; there's real thought in the brewing. The food truck on site is a big bonus. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries--absolutely hit the spot. Great portions, flavorful, and a perfect match for a cold pint on a warm day. What really sets Bell Springs apart, though, is the atmosphere. It's family-friendly, dog-friendly, and totally unpretentious.
