We were in Cherokee for my birthday and decided to give this place a try and it has excellent food and excellent price for a buffet!

Here are some slogans that describe the overall food and service: 1. Why make fresh eggs when you can rest your legs. (No fresh eggs on the buffet line & 5-6 staff members sitting around doing nothing.) 2. The only thing more gross than our pork is the left over gravy on the fork. (Fork they gave us had dried gravy on it.) 3. Don't eat our grits, they taste like unwashed arm pits. (Do I need to explain.) 4. Why clean when you can lean. (Please refer to slogan #1.) 5. This place has more hosts than fresh & edible French toast. (How do you make bad French toast? Ask Frontier...) We arrived an hour before the buffet ended, so it's not like they should have stopped serving. Don't be fooled by the outside (letters falling off the building, sign at least 50 years old) the inside is even worse! read more

Connected to a trinket shop with jewelry and a nice local sharing stories about old Cherokee tales. Don't miss this one! This is a Hidden Gem in Cherokee. Don't let the exterior fool you it looks very unassuming but inside it is a tidy place with great atmosphere and good service. . The breakfasts are super good especially the pancakes, the blueberry pancakes are fantastic, I had an egg ribeye steak and pancake breakfast which is going to be one of my absolute favorites from here on out. read more

We stopped in this a.m, after leaving the casino. Very friendly wait staff, I got the buffet, which was very good. All fresh and hot. They even had real grits!! My husband had fried eggs and country ham. Eggs good, he said ham was overly salty, which is just typically what country ham is!! Timely service. I had eggs and pancakes and they were fine, but my husband had grilled cheese and hashbrowns and ate my sausage. He said it was bad. The sausage was not good, cheap and very salty and he did not eat it. The hash browns were ok. Thw grilled cheese was like a kids meal grilled cheese. The juices were tiny cans. This place is horrible. Service is terrible and food is bland and overpriced. I knew this was a bad idea when we walked into a ghost town of a restaurant. The old hag of a waitress was very curt and dismissive of us. Everything on the menu was overpriced. $8 for 3 pancakes with nothing else on it? The "buffet" costs $12 and consisted of eggs, sausage links, bacon, and grits. That's it. And they look like they have been under the heat lamp for days. After she took our orders, we could see that the waitress and her staff were snickering as us "out of towners" from a distance. Why do you treat your customers this way? The food was bland, like I said. Everything looked like it came from a frozen package straight from the freezer. Almost inedible. The waitress took forever to refill my drink although we were only one of 3 parties in the entire restaurant. When the bill came, the waitress never came back around. After a while, my sister tried to hold the bill and credit card up in the air to get her attention to no avail. Finally, we had to walk to the waitress and ask to pay for the bill, which she then directed us to the cashier. Why not just tell us that from the beginning? This place was a major let-down. It has a pretty nifty appearance, and is located in a unique area where you would expect good eats. This, however, was not really the case. I ordered the bacon pancakes, a dish that I have ordered from many establishments with terrific results, but this was kind of pitiful. For bacon pancakes, you must must MUST use thick-cut bacon. This way, the inside of the pancakes are filled with substantial cubes of flavorful bacon, rather than, what this place did, which is use extremely thin bacon, so that there were only bland strips located sparsely throughout the pancake. It was several dollars more for basically no bacon flavor. This was disappointing, but by no means disgusting. The bigger issue was their willingness to serve me expired milk. I pointed out the expiration date on the bottle, and their excuse was, literally, that it was all they had. How about telling me that and not serving to me in the hopes that I just won't notice? Furthermore, all that my complaints yielded was them taking the cost of the milk off the bill, that is all. I can't really imagine visiting this place again. read more

Racist eatery. Recently stopped in for some food around 9:00 am one morning and commented to the waitress I was craving a omelet. When she returned with my water she informed me they did not have the ingredients to prepare one. I asked if they were out of eggs and she said yes but it would take about 30 minutes to get everything else. I told her I could not wait and she said to go to the Waflle House up the street. First of all, it took more than 10 minutes just to bring water in a place that only had a couple of customers. Secondly, a place called the pancake house should always be able to prepare an omlet. The place is only open a couple hours seems like a place for locals but the food here is horrible. Waitress dropped food on my husband and then just replaced the bacon that fell off his plate (Mistakes happen tho). The pancakes taste the same as McDonalds (Microwaveable).
