Super clean with a staff of amazingly friendly and superfast waitresses the restaurant is surprisingly spacious and feels more like a new house than a diner. The menu is just as large and accommodates light eaters and "I only eat breakfasters" alike. Portions are large and all food is served fast and hot. Try the sliced smoked sausage with hot onion and peppers if you like spice: with scrambled eggs it's fire. Pancakes were huge, bacon was generous and coffee constantly refilled. Grits? Yes please. Only thing missing for me was livermush (hint, hint ownership). No disappointments here; if you are patient the reward is a great meal with a two-hour nap to follow. read more

We ate there on the recommendation of friends. The restaurant has been remodeled / upgraded from the previous restaurant that had closed at that location. My wife & I had breakfast (served all day). All of our food was epic! The best Eggs Benedict & Belgian Waffles I have had anywhere. The bacon was crispy, yet not overcooked or burned. Our server was friendly & attentive without over doing it. The Ambience was top tier. The restrooms had been remodeled from single Men's Room / Women's Restroom to 3 Unisex single Restrooms located behind a privacy wall which had been added. The outside dining area which had been on a porch had been enclosed & remodeled to an interior decor with heat added. We can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We tried to stop in downtown Waynesville Sunday at a diner which was unexpectedly closed. A local saw us and a few other people standing outside and recommended Beach Mountain Diner a few miles away. We were grateful for the recommendation. There were about four or five parties in front of us when we arrived but we didn't have to wait too long. The hostess was great, immediately grabbing us drinks when she seated us. Diet Cokes were perfectly carbonated. Waitress showed up shortly after and we put our orders in. Husband and I both ordered the Mexican omelette and home fries. Daughter ordered short stack pancakes with egg whites and a side of cheese grits. We were all really hungry after a hike so food would have tasted good even if it wasn't. However, home fries were perfectly cooked and generous portion size. Pancakes were huge. Omelet wasn't super flavorful but still good. Service was excellent. Waitress was very attentive to refilling drinks and food came out quickly. Place is a great breakfast spot. Got here a little after 9 on a Sunday and sat right down. By the time we left at about 9:30, there was a line out the door. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. We were driving the Blue Ridge parkway and looking for somewhere to stop for breakfast. I am so glad I found this diner. The decor inside is super cute. Especially the dog pictures on the walls. One actually resembled my dog a lot. The gentleman who greeted us was funny and charming. Although it was very busy, we got seated right away. Our waitress was lovely, super sweet, and a wonderful server. My husband and I both got the Western omelette. We both added jalapeños but only mine was made with them. Thankfully, I had enough in mine to share. The food was fresh, delicious, and the potatoes were crunchy and flavorful. The food also came out quite fast, and we pretty much cleared our plates. We never lacked for refills and were checked on regularly. Great service! I would highly recommend coming here. Visited a friend in Waynesville today, and decided I'd like to go somewhere for a traditional Irish meal being that it was St. Patrick's Day. I ended up having a shepherds pie, as they were out of corned beef and cabbage, great selection, and I had a side salad with it. My friend decided to have waffles and chicken. Always enjoy eating here. Good food always fresh and delicious. I drive almost an hour to come and eat here and enjoy it every time. Today was no different. Food was excellent and great and service from the server was excellent. My experience today with being seated was less than expected. When I arrived there were several people waiting and I put my name on the list. After approximately 30 minutes when I had not been seated and noticed that a couple that had come several minutes (probably 15 - 20) after I had arrived had been seated I went to the gentleman that was in charge of seating people and asked him how much longer it was going to be as I had waited about 30 minutes and noticed that at least 1 if not more parties that had arrived after me had been seated. He asked my name and it had been marked off of the list completely. He then took me back and sat me at a 4 top for a single person (after asking me again to sit at the counter). I understand that mistakes happen but did notice that the couple that had been seated (and had talked to several of the staff members) were marked out and were 6 - 8 people down on the list of people that had not been seated. If you are not going to go by a first come first serve basis then there is no reason to have a waiting list.....just do it by who you want to seat first. That is how it appears it was being handled today. read more
