CONSUMER WARNING!!! PLEASE LOOK AT REVIEWS OF FRONTIER INTERNET BEFORE YOU SWITCH. We had our internet switched over on June 30th at that time they said the cable would be buried in two weeks. July 25th I contacted them to find out when it would be buried, it had not even been scheduled. They said it would be scheduled for the following week, no one showed up called again and got the same story. Received another appointment for August 12th it rained so I called Saturday the 13th to find out if it was still on the schedule, they had no record of the Friday appointment. They rescheduled for Saturday 20th, in the mean time the cable that had been exposed since JUNE 30TH was hit by the HOA lawn crews on AUGUST 18th. Contacted Frontier to get the cable replaced they said they'd have someone out that day, if not the next morning 8am-12pm. Wife contacted them at 1130 on Friday the 19th to find out where they were and was told it was over looked, and would not be done, but they would be out on Saturday 20th. Now here we are on the 20th and they are saying now August 22nd. We canceled our service just shy of 2 months on August 20th. Be aware that you may get screwed DO NOT GO WITH FRONTIER... Frontier is a nightmare! I decided to switch because Comcast was getting too expensive in our area. Frontier installed new fiber on our street-but I learned during the install that although I had a box in my front yard there was no fiber line inside the box! Frontier ran the line from four houses up the street (the line ran thru 3 huge culverts and 4, 2acre lots). My neighbors had lines running thru their yards for 2 weeks during mowing season! I had to call repeatedly and beg them to get someone to bury the line! It's now been a month and at least once (sometimes twice) a week we have no internet. I wanted to go back to Comcast/Xfinity but Frontier wants 200+ dollars to cancel. Tech support disconnects when you have an outage and WILL NOT talk to you. If you go thru a retention specialist and actually talk to tech support they will tell you they can't make an appointment for help due to the current outage; but, if I want to I can pay $150 for a tech to come out to my home. Here we are just shy of two months without service. Frontier's texting service is broken and does not keep your ticket numbers open even when you respond, KEEP. I have had 8+ tickets opened in the last month and a half without service. None of their employees know each other or how to contact other departments. I have been disconnected several times with no call backs. Even though the first few minutes of each phone call is getting information from you to confirm your account and how to reach you if you are disconnected. Supervisors have told me their texting system does not work, so what is the point of having it? Things are broken and nobody seems to care to fix it. read more

absolutely terrible service- a tree limb busted the line and the service tech was an absolute nightmare- he wanted to dig up my yard instead of re attaching the line and putting back the way it was. when we said no he called his dispatch and left - we are without internet to do our jobs and have to wait another 3 days for someone to come out. read more

Great service when it works. Switched from Comcast/xfinity. Fiber works great. Great download and even better upload speeds. The problem is Frontier service sucks. Internet went down. I called them for service. Was told their internal systems was down and had been down for 3 days. They could not provide any support or even verify I had an account. Could not give me a time line on when my service would be back. Most of the customer service seemed to be outsourced to another country. I switched back to Comcast. Yes, they also have there issues but they have always been able to give me updates on when service will be restored and what the issue was. Their internal system has never went down and they also have physical locations. Frontier does not. The technician that installed my Frontier service was very helpful and even tried to help me on his off day. Unfortunately technicians are provided very little support from there main office. read more

This "communications" company is the worst at communicating. We have been without service for a week and after sending a technician out all we get told is they need to send a different technician out and have no idea when that will be. If you want actual service this is NOT the company for you! The other service might be a bit slower but at least it works and if it goes down they fix it in a timely manner. Frontier is the absolute worst I have had the displeasure of having. If I could give less than 1 star I definitely would. read more

This is the 4th or 5th time we called Frontier technical support to determine why our internet speed is below 190. We pay for the 1gb plan so our speed should be much higher. We were told last week we needed a new router and Frontier mailed us another router. Once we received the router we called to get a service technician to reinstall the new router. The technician unplugged the router and said our Eeros extenders were all we need and left saying he would be right back. He never came back. We now have the old router next to the new router. Our internet speed is still 190 . I had to call the Frontier technical support to find out what happened to the technician who came to our house. He closed the call. We now have to wait 4 days before another technician can come to our house and install the router. The speed is never above 250 even though we pay a higher premium for higher speed. We are changing internet providers and telling everyone we know how bad Frontier service is and how unqualified their technicians are in resolving issues!!! read more

I called in customer service for a wire that had been broken. I made an appointment for them to come out to fix. They told me that they have someone to come out the next day in between 8-12. I'm here still waiting after the time frame that had past wondering when will the technician will be out to fix. I then called in customer service again and they said since the technician didn't come out at that time frame they will have to do another time frame which is from 1-5. I am so disappointed with this company because this is the first time that this company would not be on time. Compare this company to the other. Frontier is so unprofessional to run a business who's not punctual. I rather pay a little more to have company who's actually care for customers.. I've been with frontier a few months now and I didn't even know that their way of work is not very good. Their pricing is almost the same as Infinity comcast but comcast is way better. Their service is quicker and they actually more on time! Will never use Frontier ever again in the future. read more

Home telephone service went out on Saturday. Found out shortly thereafter the entire area had lost its phone service. I managed to make contact after executing all of their troubleshooting steps listed in their website. The best they could do for the entire area was a service call five days later. Impossible to get updates or information on the problem. Utilizing their chat option on their website they provided me with my appointment time! That after another 25 minutes of wasted effort. I have had many telephone companies over a great many years, however even in hurricanes I have never been without phone service for five days without so much as even a technician trying to fix the problem. their website lies and says that it is not an area outage.The absolute worst service I have ever seen, if you have an option to go with someone else you would be smart to choose it. read more

Horrible company they lied to me about the price saying originally $37 dollars a month then find out its over $50 dollars a month, I ended up paying them 200 dollars for 3 weeks of terrible internet service, then to top it off they said they would mail me a box to return the equipment (modem) in the mail well I am still waiting for it. Save your time and money shop around because this company will lie and rip you off. Do yourself a favor and use anything else, even just your phone will be a faster better internet then this horrible company. read more

This company came out and dug in my daughters yard. Then a day or 2 after the sewer line backed up. They had to get a plumber out that costed them over 400 to tell them the line had been clipped by who ever dug in the yard. She called Frontier and they sent someone out only to say they didn't do it. They did do it and know it but don't want to fix it. It's bad enough you have to let people in your yard to dig but to have to pay for damage afterward is awful. Would never recommend this company for any type of internet if they treat people this way. read more

I just got off the phone with Frontier's Customer Service number (not in the Houston area) for the 3rd time in 3 days. I ordered my parents (who live in Llano,TX) internet and phone bundle back in the middle of May but they still haven't received their modem so that they can actually use the internet. I was on the phone for almost 1 1/2 hours this evening and NOTHING got resolved. The recommendation made to me tonight was to wait until I get the package tomorrow evening (Frontier sent it to the wrong address) and then I can ask UPS to send it to my parents. I told the "Escalated Customer Service Rep" that there has to be a better and quicker way to get my parents a modem. Frontier is the one who has made so many errors and is the cause for the delay. I can't believe that now I have to try and clean up their mess by trying to talk to UPS and get them to send the package to my parents who live 5 hours away. This type of customer service is absolutely ridiculous. Frontier has an office 30 minutes from my parents house. An employee could drop a modem off at their house or they could overnight another one to my parents and I could refuse delivery of this one coming to my house. I suggested both of these options but Paul (the Escalated Customer Service Rep said no to all of these and said his recommendation is for me to wait and receive the modem then have me contact UPS to see if they can deliver the modem to my parents.
