I did not choose this service it was purchased from Verizon who I had no issues. During the change many years ago I was without service stayed home 4 times waiting for the service call was told they were on the way never arrived . With any takeover there are glitches and I understand and was compensated. Being a 8 years customer my bill increased over $30.00 this year for same service . I three times changed the services to get the bill down (I was told the promotion was over ) . All 3 calls did not get put in effect .During one of the call I was told I would be given a upgrade due being a long time customer . Today spoke with supervisor not much help I was lied to about the free upgrade they no longer offer the previous internet speed . Also she was unable to honor the past quotes from the 3 previous employees . this was the top of all worse service of humankind I upgraded my WIFI from 75/75 to 500/500. and I could not tell the difference and have a dead spot, WIFI still drop off during my meeting. I called support, I asked the the 1st lady "what is my WIFI speed right now on my service" the answer was" What did you pay for is what you are getting" and the call disconnected. the 2nd call was answered by Dominnico, He insisted to educate me how WIFI and internet works, and insisted the problem came from house, did not want to provide any solutions. only if I agreed with him. which I did not. I kept asking him that router I have been using for more than 10 years and time to update it. The solutions Dominnico provided me were: 1. I SHOULD BUY MY OWN ROUTER, because all companies don't provide proper routers. 2. Stay far away from Frontier Internet. First of all, they slept my name wrong off the bat and refused to change it. My boyfriend and I moved into our first apartment and we went with frontier for Internet. They came out here and set up our Internet and left and said that our Internet should be up and running now. Well, come to find out, it didn't work at all and for a month and a half my boyfriend and I had no Internet at all and I had been in a battle with frontier over the phone to get someone out here to fix the issue and they said they don't send people out once the Internet has been set up at our house. They charged me two bills even though I had no Internet. After weeks and weeks of battling with frontier come to find out they never even turned on my Internet when they came out here initially in the first place. I've been trying to request anI've been trying to request a refund for weeks and it has been such a battle because why did I pay $77+ a month if they don't even turn on my internet in the first place? I have been in a battle with them since beginning of June and we are in August now and I'm still having to deal with them. Multiple people that I talked over the phone over the past few weeks have been nothing but rude, one lady over the phone told me she couldn't help me so she gave me some number to call about a refund and it was some random number and she hung up on me. Now they're trying to charge me for five eeros and I only had three given to me. Last time I called they said there is no documentation of any of this on my frontier account. Frontier is a horrible and should not even have a business. They are so unprofessional and good luck because if you have any issue whatsoever with their service, good luck getting someone out to you because they say they don't send anyone out for anything pretty much once your Internet has been set up. Frontier said it was an issue with my personal service and the next available tech was on a Tuesday, I called them on a Saturday! I have been using Frontier since 2019. In that time, there have been two outages which only lasted until the next day. No internet about 4 times but back on track within an hour. Customer service has aways exercised patience, courtesy and always, always had my problem solved or explained. They are more reasonably priced than other places when doing a price comparison. There are going to times in our lives where things go awry, I, myself have to remind myself of this and learn patience also, and the customer service never once had a condescending tone or lectured me. Probably because they can understand the frustrations. Unlike other customer service reps who are younger and take everything personally and then spend 10 minutes of your time lecturing on being polite. Sometimes I can't be polite because I have been given a run around for days but I am not swearing, the customer rep should not be answering phones if she can't deal with people who are not in a happy mood. Instead of lecturing someone about social etiquette give the customer something to be happy about. I'm happy to add another "1-star, wish there were a negative star" rating. I did not see my wifi on any of my devices after a momentary power outage on 09/20/21. This was a significant disruption for me as I am working remotely and rely on my work laptop to be connected via wifi. First person I talked to at 0936 (Samantha) was, actually supportive. She tried to troubleshoot but couldn't solve my issue. I distinctly remember a conversation about scheduling a technician to come out that day, because she asked when I would be home. She told me I would receive a call within the next 30 minutes. I waited until 1218 and then called again and talked to Bob. The only thing he offered was that there was a ticket open for advance technical support to call me back asap to troubleshoot (not to come onsite). Still with no connection at 7:26 pm, I called and talked to Casey who also had no information to provide. 09/21/21 0733 I got a text out of the blue that my service appt has been 'changed' to 09/23/21 between 8-12 am (horrible automation since I never received a message confirming an appointment). On 09/23/21 at 1230 (after my 4h window, and having not received ANY communication) I called and talked to Andy who indicated my ticket was resolved and had been closed. WHAT? Fact: Frontier closed my ticket without 1)confirming that I was back up and running and 2) notifying me. Andy transferred me to Robert, but Robert is in the DSL department and couldn't help with my wifi since I have FIOS. Robert transferred me to Jesus in the fiberoptic department and he actually took the time and was able to help resolve my issue. Regardless that the issue finally got resolved over the phone. I was without wifi for 3.5 days. I lost several hours of work due to connection issues and figuring out workarounds. I wonder how the people at Frontier would like it if they lost several hours of work? Customers are often bound to only one company because that's who serves the geographic area, so it's doubtful that these 1-star reviews mean anything to Frontier's business. I received a text message at 10::59 AM Informing me that the technician had been dispatched. I called for clarification as to whether he or she would be going to other appointments first or was already coming to my house two or more hours early. I was unable to receive a definitive answer to this question. The representative couldn't even tell me the color of the technician's truck and had no way of reaching him or her to request that I be called. I had a problem with the Wi-Fi since the minute I got it. They also never buried the Wi-Fi cable. It is still out in the driveway to this day. I paid $190 for two months of not good Wi-Fi! The two times I called to cancel they tried to fix it but it still didn't work. The third time I called to get it removed they tried to do it again. Then I said I just wanted to get it removed and they said I had to pay an additional $59. So I paid for really bad service and $59 to cancel. Overall, I do not recommend. I feel like they were of no help and just kept taking my money knowing I had not properly working Wi-F! If you want to give your money to a company that doesn't care and just wants money then this is the one for you. The should've at least waived the $59 fee for the cancellation! I have never disliked any company as much as Frontier. They sent bills to the wrong address. I lost my accountant so they shut off my internet. I quickly paid the bill, requested they change the address(they didn't) and I put in automatic payments. The internet shut of the next month... They didn't update the address and their automatic payment didn't work. I now owe $360 for reconnecting my service, this isn't what I owe, this is just the penalty. Unreal. I already canceled all my other businesses using Frontier. I'm currently purchasing billboard space around LA to make sure no one chooses Frontier. Oh and the real reason I'm angry is because they insulted me over and over when I was just trying to pay my bill on the phone. Once she realized my situation she said she cut the fee down and transferred me to collections to lower it more. I was on the phone for an hour. They put me on hold for 10 minutes and then some random lady picks up the phone to start the conversation over from scratch. Although I have a cancellation number it's not that easy to quit this horrible company with its extremely bad customer service. I just received the 3rd text about 'fixing' my internet. Although I'm no longer a customer, they texted me they'd be out on the 22nd as originally scheduled, then cancelled that, rescheduled for today (March 28th), then texted me that they had cancelled, then texted me the new fixit date would be March 30th. I was tempted to ignore these texts, then worried about them throwing charges onto my cancelled account. Tanya at Frontier advised me to block the texts, which I did. I also deleted auto pay from my account on the website. It looks like charges are accruing in March even though I've never had any phone or internet service in all of March. According to Tanya, this nightmare will go on for 3 months after cancellation, as charges and credits are tallied, upon which time they'll issue some sort of debit card? Terrible, only reason I have fios is because I can't get anything else where I live. Internet always has high latency. WiFi constantly disconnects from all devices multiple times a day. Speeds are advertised as high speed, but I've only ever seen about 15 Mbps on a good day. I've tried changing out the router but nothing seems to work. I've tried to have a tech come figure it out but they basically just told me "there's nothing we can do about it". Tried moving our service to our new house and spent countless hours with customer support to get the necessary billing straightened out, then more to actually get the new installation done. Once we finally got the right technician to come out, I specifically asked where to locate the router to give me the strongest signal for both my home office and still get strong service for tv streaming. Was assured I would have excellent service throughout our 1,100 sq ft home. Instead, we've been dealing with buffering issues, as well as quickly diminishing signal strength on our cell phones just one room away. Again, spent multiple hours on the phone with customer support and the escalation department, who will not resolve the issue without telling me I have to purchase more equipment from them. Since I was asked to "elaborate" and then got canned responses, let's let the rest of the world know all the details too: I signed up in August for the 500/500 FiOS service. That sales rep was patient, friendly, and helpful, and at the time, I made the (profoundly incorrect) assumption the rest of the company would be run with a similar attitude. An installer showed up as scheduled, but to install the box, not the line. He had NO idea why he'd been sent if there was no way to actually hook up a box. (My second mistake, assuming a simple mix-up.) He left after promising to get the right people to contact us for the groundwork. In September I finally heard back from the third-party groundwork crew, who told me that they could not install the line because they had to cut concrete (they did not) and refused to come out to actually assess the house. They cancelled the contract without warning. Another Frontier representative came by, again with the door-to-door sales pitch, and I showed him the raw dirt at the side of the house where Spectrum had installed a line without issue TWENTY years ago. This time, an appointment was made. No communication after, and at the time they were supposed to show, they did not. They came days later; again, without a word of warning or communication, and luckily my mother was home. The line was laid in 20 minutes (the Verizon box is literally at the foot of our driveway. This wasn't a big install in the first place). Again, an appointment was made for the box installation in the garage/side of the house. The installer for THAT did not show and did not communicate his absence. I spent THREE HOURS on the phone trying to get someone to tell me a) what was going on and b) to reschedule the appointment. Every single automated system in place created problems or stonewalled me. The lack of live people to reach is pathetic. Another cancel without warning of the next appointment. The third time the appointment was placed, the guy finally showed up an hour later than the scheduled time frame. During one of the hours on the phone, a customer service rep promised a credit on our account for all the hassle so far. The installer placed the box and decided in true 90s-horror-flick fashion to cut our land line without warning before he left, leaving us with no method to call for help in an emergency (my mother is elderly and yes, we still use our AT&T land line every day). I spent two more hours on the phone trying to get someone live to speak with and resolve this. THAT person promised to credit the cost of the installation, and someone finally showed up to fix the damage three days later. Since then, the router has refused to actually connect to our wireless devices. Cue losing another SIX hours on the phone troubleshooting with someone, only to get disconnected when placed on "brief holds". The replacement router that was sent isn't much better - our wireless devices still cannot consistently connect to the supposedly blazing-fast speeds that are "coming to the box". Note that I am quite literally sitting next to the router when trying to connect a device, in case there is some interference between rooms. Still nothing. This isn't my first rodeo with wireless setup, especially on the different devices in our house. No other settings have changed except the router and ISP. The router from Spectrum was 10 years old and managed to broadcast successfully throughout the house on dual bands; technology has advanced enough that the Arris device provided by Frontier should be leaps and bounds better, not a huge step BACK in functionality. We have spent $200 on different devices trying to boost signal to get wifi into the next room. A speed test on a computer connected directly to the router only shows 100/100 ranges, usually less. That's what we were getting with Spectrum. These are speed tests on several websites, but the results are all the same. I received an automated email regarding the Visa card portion of the promotion several days ago, but in the fine print, it cannot be used for much of anything and has no cash value, if it ever does show up. Complete bait and switch. The promised Amazon Prime membership has never shown up. In sum: I was promised credit on the account for getting jerked around before installation. I was promised a credit/refund for the botched installation. The speed of internet that I was promised is NOT DELIVERED. The sales pitch promised a $100 Visa gift card, and an Amazon Prime membership that has never shown up. [And yes, I have this in writing on BOTH pink slips left behind from the salespeople.] I have wasted days of my time, lost wages at work, and run into either no live people or get hung up on when I do get a live person. The automated app 'chat' feature does not work, nor does the website. Frontier is a communications company that cannot communicate worth a damn. read more

First of all the installation technician called twice to reschedule the installment of the internet services. When they finally arrive almost a week later to install the services it took a lifetime for the services to work properly. Then a month later of having the services the internet went out. The representatives lie claiming that technicians were working to repair everyone services due to a stupid upgrade that I never asked for. Now, it is going on three days without services and I work from home. The customers representatives can not provide a date to when the services will be back on and I'm missing work because of this foolishness. Frontier is a horrible provider and I will never recommend the service. This provider is a fraud. Please do not waste your time. read more
