This the WORSE wifi/internet service I have ever experienced,if u live in the hills or by hills dont recommend this service its horrible and overpriced. read more

I have a small online business in an older warehouse complex in the San Gabriel Valley. I had no choice to go with Frontier and the Wi-Fi service is absolutely horrible all we can do with their miserable service is print labels. We spoke with Frontier and inquired if there was anything we can do about the poor reception and we were told "oh sure, we can send a tech out and they can run a line that would only be ours to use blah blah blah" We were instructed to sigh a contract for them to come without them even knowing it could be done. Their techs are rude, untimely arrivals. When we were informed how much it was going to cost we canceled because it was way to expensive and honestly it was something that the owners should have been doing for the tenants. We would have been paying for the entire warehouse complex to have better Wi-Fi. Well, because we signed a contract they are holding us to it, which I don't have a problem paying for the initial tech to come out to determine all that it would have entailed but these SHADY THIEVES want to charge us for equipment that was never installed and hours that were paid to a tech. Absolutely robbery! What has happened to companies having integrity and honesty? They are just out to screw as many people over as possible. As far as I'm concerned, if I'm being charged for equipment then it's mine. But I received no response other than "you owe us for these charges cause you signed the contract. They took total advantage of the situation. Like I said we are a small business barely making it in this economy and these tech giants come along and squash the companies that are trying to make a living. It makes me absolutely sick sending them this money. So my advise is stay away from Frontier if you possibly can and DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING BASED ON ANYTHING THEY SAY. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY. SIGNED, A DISGUSTED FRONTIER CUSTOMER read more

In addition to the poor customer service and slow internet, I got a big slap in the face from them when I canceled my poor service. The charged me a full month of service when I was only one day into the billing period. All that the customer service supervisor could offer was "that's our policy". I would never do business with them again never ever. read more

If there was a no-star rating, this company would certainly qualify! I wanted to add a phone to my existing account. Five days later, cable, phone, and internet were disconnected! I'm so glad Frontier isn't my cell phone provider; otherwise I would be an 83-year-old women with NO connection to the outside world during the coronavirus pandemic. I talked to NINE different employees for THREE HOURS to get service restored. I was told that the OLD service had to be disconnected before the NEW service could be installed. I don't believe that. Also told the new service would be $119.98 per month, which I DID believe until another customer service rep told me that it would be $174.98 per month. Terrible company - it's a real incentive to cut the cable, sign up for streaming service, toss the landline, and look for a decent company to provide internet service. read more

I have been paying for internet service for the last 2 months because I was supposed to have had internet 2 months ago. Frontier only sent the equipment but never went to trouble shoot the problem. I waited 1 and a half months for them and kept making appointments but they never showed up. Their excuse was that someone had canceled the appointment. 3 times they told me that same lie. Now I am waiting for a refund and I just gota bill from them telling me that it's service for a partial month of service. How is that if I never had my internet turned on? Worst service ever. DO NOT GET FRONTIER. read more

The price is good, customer service is responsive BUT I was being charged $6.00 monthly for security malware that 1. I did not order and 2. Someone decided to add that additional product to my account WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. So I'm definitely upset. It has been corrected so I advise frontier customers to review their billing. Maybe I'll review them again after some time has passed read more

We're do I start. First they ran a line to my neighbors house. They literally layed it on my fence line because the installer couldn't admit that it was at least a 3 man job to have it go from the telephone post through the tree branches. So he just ran it along my neighbors and my wall so that I could literally pick it up and move it. Then I called for my service because I really wanted the faster speed that fiber optic provides. The installer showed up and I informed him that I wanted the wire to follow the existing telephone lines that are about 12 feet up. I showed him my neighbors optic line and how ridiculous low it was. He then suggests that I should just CUT THE LINE so my neighbor would have to call frontier for them to fix it ( MAJOR RED FLAG). He then ran my line at the proper height. But it was getting very dark and I asked him if he could finish tomorrow. I didn't want him getting hurt trying to install a line from the post to the house. He agreed. He came back the next day and finished. I had internet for a whole hour before the system crashed. Called Frontier took them 2days to send someone one out. He couldn't find the problem. Hours later he informed me that he pretty sure what it was. The first installer SPLICED the line 20feet from my house. He ran short of line. If you don't know YOU DON'T SPLICE FIBER OPTIC LINE'S. You lose speed and wind rain etc can cause you to lose a connection. Which made sense to me because the guy who installed for told me that i might experience some drops or inconsistent speed.... Ya that's what he told me he knew what he did was wrong and he was trying to cover his bad installation job. Ok almost done. So this new guy tells me he wouldn't even have ran a optic line because of all the branches in the way. And my neighbor you know the one with the line sitting on the wall that anyone could just grab without effort was going to have issues. He then tells me he can't repair my line because my neighbors 2 house's down weren't home. That's right I've had Frontier come onto my property and my neighbors property just to run a line to your house and if there not home expect another delay. Finally I told him look I informed your dispatcher that this was at least a 3 man job because of all the reasons he just mentioned which they would not HAVE TO DO. Now that turned into another 7day delay. And now I received a txt from Frontier saying they will have to bury my line to finish the installation. They can't even run a line from a one telephone post across 3 properties to another telephone post to my house without issues now they want to bury a line. Needless to say I've cancelled my service with Frontier. It's been a inconvenience to me and my neighbors. I hope you read this and make your decision. Fiber Optic would have been an great thing for me and my family but what we expierienced with what should have been a simple job has become a growing problem. read more

I hate Frontier Cable! They give Horrible unheard of Customer Service! My Cable & Wifi was out 7 days before someone came out to fix it. Totally unacceptable! Then they had the nerve to make me waite on the phone for one hour after transferring me around like 5 times. They didnt want to credit the 7 days without service or credit me the movie I purchased after there equipment malfunctioned ! I can hardly believe the Audacity of these rude and unapologetic people! read more

UPDATE:To Frontiers credit,, they have followed up with us and worked to resolve the issue. I hope this service continues for all. Working with this company has been a nightmare. We switched services and notified the company well in advance. We started to get notices of overdue bills even after cancellation of auto payments. Every call later, -several per month - they went on about our need for a PIN number. They acknowledged the info they had on our account had been INCORRECTLY entered from their end! Every promise to send us info to rectify the PIN number situation, there was no follow through , or the info sent for a new PIN number was useless. NONE of the calls were documented on their side. BTW,we never received this PIN number or bills when Frontier took over from Verizon, but they were fully capable of finding a way to get paid automatically from an "unidentifiable customer". This is a disgrace and likely a tactic to just wear people down. All these reviews reinforce this disgraceful business operation .We will be reporting this to the Frontier CEO, Board, the BBB and ALL consumer protection reporters. read more

One star because it will allow me to write this review. One * has a meaning as the horrible service; I gave this company one week to see if the service would improve at this window of time. And customer service the worst ever when one tries to ask a question, the man was answering with attitude tone. Frontier have trained people to avoid answering questions to unsatisfied customers, and this company wants to make money by charging fees for canceling terrible service and for returning equipment. NO WAY JOSE, I will return the equipment at the closest store no matter what they have said about special scans that only UPS handles. JEJE! I am not going to pay any money to return the equipment read more

My mom was supposed to get het internet installed this last week on Jan 6 2022 and they called said they couldn't be there on the 6th but they would be there on the 7th. They then never showed up and didn't bother to call her till the 12th and say we have to reschedule and sorry the only opening we have is jan 18th. She has something on that day so they are "supposed" to show up to install the internet on the 19th now. Unbelievable that the other people who were scheduled AFTER my mom are now going to be getting their install before her and they just don't care. Horrible customer service its like as soon as they get the signature to do the service God help you actually getting "service" from someone. What a joke i told her to cancel the instal. read more

Worst company I've ever dealt with!!! This company will go out of business soon. Horrible service and customer service... I haven't met a person yet that doesn't have multiple complaints and disputes against them. They charged me $180 for service that never worked.. I disputed it but it seems they'll fight for every penny they can get. And it takes forever to get a supervisor.. I was polite but still hung up on over 10 times trying to resolve it. Wish I knew this before I tried them... read more

They don't even deserve a one star. Called to get help with my internet service and well... they couldn't access the account cause I didn't have my PIN number. I could provide them with a birth date, social security, address BUT NOPE, they wanted that stupid pin. Mind you I was informed that the DOB or social is not in the account?? So then how would you validate the customer... oh yes, the stupid pin ppl can easily lose or forget. I decided to cancel my service since it's shitty and after 40 minutes of being on hold and transferred around, I was transferred to a supervisor who pretty much was a joke and worthless. I'm to wait 1.5 weeks for the forms with the stupid Pin to arrive and then I can call and they can help me with my issue. In the meantime, they're still going to charge me for services I'm not receiving. And my child has to find another way to do his distance learning. Great job Verizon l, now known as Frontier. read more

I signed up for Frontier FiOS through my apartment's Frontier rep. He promised me that I wouldn't be charged for a wifi router as I already own one. The tech comes and forced me to take the router. He claimed "the reps always lie. I'm obligated to hand you this router. Even if you never take it out of the box you still have to take it." Why? This company insists on charging you for a product you don't need. I'm also being charged an extra $25/month for an "HSI Installment Billing" which the rep never mentioned. I am trying to get these fees reversed but I am not hopeful. Part of me is seriously considering going without internet out of pure spite. read more

Over 2 years ago I opened my business and decided to go with Frontier for my internet and 3 phone lines. I was told over the phone that my monthly service would be around $180 plus tax. So, I figured..ok, with tax it would be around $220. It turned out to be around $350 and sometimes $400 per month. I contacted their customer service and was told be a female rep "$180 plus tax and we don't control the tax!" I was so upset and asked her "you charged me almost 50% tax" and the lady went quiet!. I was devastated. Business was new and my location at that time could not provide Spectrum service for some reason. I was stuck with Frontier for over a year and half. It was a lie, a rip off and soon later I found from their new rep that they had lost a lot of customers because they f*** them up like they did to me. Thank you Frontier for really f*** me up and rest in peace you will never get my service again! read more

If you are thinking about TV and internet service and you have options, make Frontier your last choice. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I pay 70 for 50/50. When I called the retention line , they gave me the option of a one time charge of 85 to upgrade to the next highest speed and spent 73 per month. I said no to that so then they offered to give me loyalty pricing. Except i was left on hold and no one ever came back. read more

I am leaving this review for Frontier Communications for service in Hemet, CA. The internet speed is supposed to be 500/500 that's what I am paying for. It is 54/47 on one computer and 12.45/10 on another. Apparently the router was placed in the wrong place and there are two walls and a lot of wiring between the computers and the router. This significantly lowers the internet speed. When I called to talk about this the Frontier employee tried to blame me for this. She said the installer wouldn't know anything about the walls and wiring affecting the speed. Really? I asked if the router could be relocated and was told yes it could be and there would be a service charge. I should pay a service charge for their incompetence? I cancelled the service. read more

Another complaint against this BS company. I chat online so I don't cuss them out. My battery went out in the Verizon FiOS box and I was asking where I could purchase a new one. She gave me a link and it didn't work. Then she said I could purchase them anywhere that sells batteries. Like I was the stupid one. I asked her specifically which store because the were all online only. She said she would transfer me to customer service. I don't know why I even bother asking them for help. read more

If you have other choices in your area, please don't get Frontier service. It is truly the worst company in the United States. Frontier communications is not an honest company. I was quoted $35 a month when I signed up. The technician who came to install the system knew it was not going to work in my area, he put a DSL in my house without telling me. Right away it didn't work at all. The second day I called to cancel, the customer service guy saw it and agreed to cancel with no charge and no fees. He even gave me a confirmation number just in case I get burned by his company. A week later I received a bill of $128.41, I called the customer service again, I was confirmed for the second time that it was cancelled without any charges or fees. However, the second bill came with a $3.88 discount for $124.53. I called customer service for the third time. She said she saw the notes and confirmation number from the first customer service. She saw the service was cancelled the same day it was installed. She put me on hold for a long time then told me that Frontier's policy is you pay the first bill no matter what , even though there is a 30 day satisfaction guaranty policy. I hope you don't go through what I went through. read more

Big ZERO star. If there waa an option I would even give negative stars......Customer service is nasty....Even after buying the router from them, they charged me router rental fee of $10 every month. Every couple of month I would call to get my money back & then they refund $10 on next months bill...This went on for 14 months after I bought the router. Worst service ever.....Speed was ok bu customer service & billing is a mess...They have ways to cheat & charge money so keep an eye on your monthly bill....This one time one of the customer service rep was yelling at me & telling me to check my bill....That as***** should be fired right away. When I got the service I was told no contracts.....I didnt sign any paperwork....When I called them to disconnect my service, the rep said I have a 2 year contact.....I said that is straight up lie...also that I havent signed anything....I said prove it, where is the paperwork & then He said I can't do anything about it. Then I asked for his supervisor....he put me on 40 min hold & hang up. I called again & asked for supervisor, this new rep was good & I was transferred, she was persistent to charge me for contact & cancellation but I kept on saying prove it....after some back & forth She did something to waive the contract (ofcourse there wasnt one ever). On my last bill they charged me full amount & next bill after that was $-20 negative, because they owe me the router rental fees for last 2 months, kept on calling after disconnecting, I was told I will get a -20 prepaid card for the overbilled amount & it will take 90 days to get that in mail. Lame...somebody needs to sue them....Morons....overcharge people for their mistake & use their money for months before returning. Scammers! So the company's response below is lame......why the heck your customer service reps selling the service verbally tell clients there is no contract for your service....this is staright up lie....poor customer service in a nutshell read more

Worst experience ever I have had with the company of this type. I requested to upgrade my Internet service to a faster speed, and they scheduled a service appointment for a week and a half in the future. Worst company ever! This company is literally a joke. I had them for only a couple of months couldn't even get a decent technician out when they did come out they had a bad attitude. This company has provided one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. My parents made the mistake of signing up for internet service with this company. Not only did their internet service not work reliably, it was the most expensive service. My parents are retired and living on social security so we decided to change providers. We signed up with another company and asked frontier to disconnect. Aside from their ridiculous policy of not pro-rating (which means you will have to pay for a whole month more even though you don't have the service),they failed to tell us that my parents had phone AND internet service. So the phone service was gone. Since that day I have called frontier at least 10 times just to get the phone service restored. In these calls I've had the displeasure of speaking to many reps, repeating my request time after time, and getting disappointed time after time for frontier's failure to address my request. I don't think this is rocket science. Yet there seems to be no hope and no light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could give a BIG FAT ZERO. This company is a scam. We ordered internet service because they told us it would be as fast if not faster than Spectrum. After signing up they told us we have to "self install" the internet due to COVID because they can't send a technician. We were fine with that but after having complications and being unable to set it up we requested a tech to come out. Took him a week to show up and when he did he couldn't come in to the house and was giving direction through the window. Before he even started he told us that Frontier doesn't even work in our neighborhood and he left. We Immediately cancelled and they still charged us for a whole month even though service was never even connected!!! Such scam artists. They scam people on their products and then stick them with stupid fees and "policies" even for people that never even started their service. Went all the way up the chain and they still refuse to reverse their BS and even tried sending us to collections over $51 bucks. Stay away they are by FAR the WORST!! read more
