Btw I wouldn't even give Frontier a 1 rating. The worst company I've ever dealt with. They changed our contract without our consent, admitted they did it but there was nothing they could do? We called today and they could not help us as the passcode didn't match what they had on file ( now mind you we created this passcode when it was Verizon) but Frontier made us create a PIN number, awe that won't work. Got my account number, got all my info but won't help me. So they will mail us a new account setup? Why I've stayed is because I was grandfathered in that I did have to have a long contact. They will never get you to a supervisor and try really hard to stay on their scripts and don't listen to your issue. Horrible customer service. Also they raised our bill for a box we never asked for that we sent back over a month ago!!!!! read more

Literally, all around, the worst service I have received in my life! I don't usually write bad reveiws, but consumers must be worned! I initially decided to get frontier internet services, because of the price. Well I guess you really do get what you pay for, because I was unable to even stream a youtube video. I called and spoke to a tech to see if anything could be done to fix the issue. He ran a full diagnostic only to find out that the connection in my region was terrible and would only work properlly if I plugged my device into the router. Wow. I wish that this had been explained before I had it installed. (By the way, I waited two weeks for installation.) I decided to cancel the service (before the 30 day period) and was told that I would not have to pay for their garbage, but I was still billed. When I tried to dispute it, they refused to wave anymore than $25. Which, by the end of the phone call, was also denied. They were so rude and disrespectful on the phone! The manager repeatedly cut me off and refused to hear me out. At one point he even said, "you are done talking." I have never been spoken to this way by anyone let alone a manager! After refusing to let me speak to someone with more authority and a better attitude, he hung up on me. In conclusion, you'll be happy when you pay a little extra money for better internet and customer service. read more

Their technicians are good and fix issues. The major downside is the lines and infrastructure go down every other day. I've had to call support a dozen times in a month, had visits about half a dozen times just in November, and just yesterday they ran a test of their line and their answer is it's just congestion we can't fix it. Worst service ever! read more

The WORST. Do NOT do business with Frontier ever!!!!!!! Worst connection!!! Go with Spectrum or other Company. Cancelled after a week but they still charged me in full. Sent to a collections 4-days before payment due date. Nightmare dealing with customer service. Don't do it!! Worst Ever!!! Seems legit. Can add service in 2 minutes, but can't get tech support for 2 hours!! Worst decision of our lives, which says a lot. Don't do it!!! Frontier is the worst service!! read more

This is the worst company! They don't show up for appointments, the FIOS service is spotty, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and it takes 5 minutes to get through their automated system to even get close to speaking to a human! read more

Horrible company. They require a CREDIT CHECK to give you the fucking quotes over the phone plus they record all calls. I hope your management sees this review cause no way in hell will I ever use your service. Look at the horrible rating and reviews. Hang yourself by your own cable and put us all outta the misery that is your business practices. read more

Obnoxious and rude! They continue to show up at my door and bang loudly 10 times like someone is on fire. When I get to the door and let them know I'm not interested they don't take no for an answer. I find this aggressive approach to be harassing and violating. I would never do business with a company that operates in such a desperate and annoying way. read more

I have frontier FIOS for a few days now and I am so regret to have it. The internet is so unreliable. The optical network terminal (ONT) loss connection a few times a day which need to reboot to get connection back. It has loss connection every night so all my security cameras are not working. These frontier guys go around and sign people up saying how bad spectrum is, but they are terrible. read more

I have called 3 months in a row starting in august 2019, to lower my monthly bill, instead they have removed feature showing incoming calls only no id, and never reduced my bill to 51.00 it remains the same 90.00 and when i called fronter stating that i should be credited they said sorry we cant do that, the people are imcompetent and have spoken to several, now i have to call again since features were removed and bill has not been reduced as negotiated, THIS SERVICE AND PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR THEM HAVE GOTTEN TERRIBLE read more

Frontier told me they would come to my home between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. for a service call that was scheduled 6 days ago with next available appointment. I waited all day and when no one showed I called Frontier at 5:45 p.m. Frontier advised me they had cancelled the service appointment earlier and advised me to call back in morning. They did not try to call me to advise me of the cancellation but just left me waiting at the house for the service person who never appeared. In this competitive market where Spectrum has been knocking on my door this type of service is unacceptable. After complaining to Frontier that night I received a text message from Frontier they would try to come out on Christmas Eve. I'll be sure to give them the same no show notification they gave me. read more

I need a new remote, the one I have is years old from Verizon, it only works intermittently. I have to share the family room tv with the remote from my bedroom. I was asked by customer service if I have tried changing the batteries; really!! then he said I need to pay 14.99 to replace their remote. I pay 280.00 per month for combined TV, Internet and phone, they can't replace their remote. I have no problem with any of the services but I feel like switching. read more

There was a problem with the local network system where everyone with Frontier in my area lost service for both TV and internet. Once someone fixed the issue, the internet and TV service came back on. I just wish someone had said that earlier instead of saying they were sending a repair person to fix the outside box. read more

Frontier ripped me off! To make a long story short, if you have an issue at anytime with your service make a complaint and ask them to note it as a trouble ticket! I was experiencing slow to no internet connections for years. That's right for years. Essentially I had an original system with Verizon that was rated 50 over 50 on its best day and that equipment was never upgraded to support the faster internet that I was purchasing. I'm not a tech guy and I only use the computer out of necessity, when I'm having a problem frontiers solution was to increase my bandwidth but in name only. They never upgraded my equipment to support the increased cost for what I was supposedly getting. When I brought it to there attention after they finally sent someone out to look at it they denied my claim stating that they had no prior knowledge that I had ever had a problem. Never mind the fact that I kept calling complaining about my internet speed. They are dishonest and certainly not an ethical company. Lawyer up and take good notes because they are not honest. read more

I have been with Frontier since they bought the internet biz from Verizon. I currently pay $55/mo but saw that they are now advertising $29.99 for 50/50. I called Frontier and was told that $29.99 is a promotional rate that does not include the $10 router fee. That rate is good only for 1 year after which it increases to $55/mo + the $10 router fee. This is a huge increase (almost double) so in comparing rates one should bear this in mind. In addition personnel were surly and unhelpful. read more

Horrible company - waste of money. Cancelled my service on the 4th, got charged through the 14th. Was paying for 3mms where at the same price, now getting a minimum of 100mms. What a crap service. Sorry I was stuck with them for so long. Stay away if you have any other options. (pigeon mail is faster) read more

Today 4/1/20 I learned that Frontier is no longer carrying the MLB Network! I am so disappointed in Frontier. Please bring the MLB back!! Spectrum sure sounds like a good option now!! read more

I live in the Sunland area, have multiple devices and work from home sometimes. I live in a building that was build in 1985. Here are the reasons why you wouldn't want to choose Frontier as your internet provider: Customer service are not knowledgable, they just want to sell you a product that doen't work. Technician couldn't install what I order because building was too old. Instead he gave me something he knew it wouldn't work. I called customer service and it took several phone calls until they agreed to take their router back and credit back all the charges to my account. They deceive me, didn't credit my account and I was stuck with $89. for technician services even though my internet never worked and the tech gave me something I didn't order. I couldn't get out of the bill. Had to pay it. BEWARE...even if the charges are in writing, Frontier will hit you with hidden charges and there is nothing you can do about it. This is a scam, they want to make money on the charges for the technicians, because they know that the service they're providing is not going to work in old buildings because of the electrical wiring. WORSE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE WITH THESE CABLE COMPANIES. I THOUGHT SPECTRUM WAS BAD...NO! THERE IS ONE THAT'S WORSE FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS. read more

I am spending another afternoon trying to get a 179.00 credit for a package which we are being charged for which was discontinued nine months ago. The representative stated it was my fault I did not see the erroneous charge and that she could only remove three months of charges. This was sent to a supervisor three weeks ago. Today I got a new bill with the same charge on it for the discontinued package. That and the lack of effort to work with long time customers to get a reasonable price package, versus the price package offered to new customers shows a basic disregard for their loyal customers. When I asked if their was a walk in location the representative said there were no locations in California. I then found a local office when I did an internet search, This billing is fraudulent. Watch out folks. I am now looking for an alternative service. read more

100% shite. a component of theirs died. it was going to take a solid week for a tech to even get here, and when attempting to call them to expedite it, no human could be reached, and even a "call back" was going to take 24 hours. I called spectrum and asked how soon can a tech be here to set it up? within hours, spectrum installed and working fine. screw frontier read more

Don't sign up for inside cable maintenance, it's a total rip off, and the work the technician did was shoddy at best!

They sent an advertisement so I called and got the service because all the deals they offer. The installer was nice and polite, but he said I need to supply my own router. I told him about the deal I got, he said I don't have any new equipment in my truck. He installed my router and it would only run 20Mbps, so he said let me look in my truck. He returned and said I found this old one lets see if it works. It did work and ran close to the full speed I purchased. The tech said the 2 new WiFi routers that comes with this deal will be mailed to you. After two weeks I called and tech support had no idea what their offer included. After over an hour they told me they would mail me the two eero Pro 6 WiFi units. A month later nothing. I called again and again tech support has no idea what the company offers. After another about two hours of phone time, they said ok you are all set they will be arriving in the mail soon. Two weeks later NOTHING. I seriously doubt they will deliver the also promised $200 VISA gift card (part of their bogus deal). The service is fast and reliable (using old equipment). If you buy their deal you should get $756 of extras, but you won't get the $399 of their routers (trucks don't carry new equipment), you might not even get the $200 gift card (it will be sent 90 days after your install date). So your $756 worth of bonus for getting Frontier FiberOptic will be missing $599 and the other stuff included in this deal $85 activation fee (free from almost all other companies) and the $72 security software (basically freeware anyone can download). Their deal is just a SCAM. I had Spectrum Internet that worked about 40% of the time I used it. Frontier provides better service, but they SCAM you to get you to sign up. I "Always lie to the customer" part of their company policy??? read more

they charged us for a service call of $150 to our condo association becasue we asked if someone can check to see if anyone had disconnected our intercom system They said there would only be a chrage if they needed to work on the lines. They were there for just a few minutes and confirmed the phone was fine. I have spoken to several people as was my collegue They all apologize but do not offer any amends or resolution They make you stay on hold for 45 minutes at a time and just say no immediately and then today i got a call from a service follow up from the survey and she said she read the notes and i was informed (i WAS NOT!!!) THEY'RE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECTRUM HAS ALWAYS TRIED TO WORK THINGS OUT WE WILL DEFINITELY BE CANCELLING AND FINDING OUT AHEAD HOW TO DO THIS WITHOUT GETTING GAUGED WE WILL SEE!!! I READ ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE FROM OTHERS 'WE ARE SO SORRY FOR YOUR TROUBLE BUT THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO" HORRIBLE COMPANY LEAVE THEM THEY SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS read more

not only is frontier's office People horrible and rude but now they're trying to charge me for a month of service that I never got I called two weeks before the end of my first month service and canceled and they wouldn't give me a discount they want to charge me for the whole month plus another month of service because they said I called too late I don't understand this thinking but I'm not going to pay them I feel sorry for you if you do you go with this cable company they're horrible their services horrible there people are horrible You're really at opening a can of worms if you go with these people because you're gonna put yourself in the fire when you try to communicate with them and get things done right I thought DIRECTV was bad but these people are 10 times worse don't waste your money with them read more

This is the worst utility company ive ever dealt with i tried switching over to Directv and was referred to Frontier by Directv, well Directv took the order and said everything went well my credit check was more than qualified and everything was scheduled for installation, the next day i had frontier call me asking for a deposit which i refused to pay i will not pay a deposit on something im paying a monthly payment on, so that ended up getting taken care of after talking to several so called supervisors, they even went as far as trying to get me TV service from Directv saying they dont really partner with Directv they actually partner with Dish big red flag for me, that is really shady business in my book, i thought everything was set, then the very next day after frontier calls asking for verified Id and want me to go get something notarized that flipped my lid ive never had any of my utilities ask me to get anything notarized the only time i did that was to purchase my house frontier communications is a SHADY BUSINESS do not patronize them for your safety,,, after that i already in my mind made my decision to cancel, but i went ahead and asked anyway where did they want me to go and asked for their account number so i can charge it to them! But they said thats something im responsible for so i told them very politely to shove their services and company up their rear ends dont use this company very SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I will be reporting them to the PUC ( public utilities commission) read more

The worst experience with an internet company I have ever had. I wanted to try a new internet provider because I was sold on a product by someone at the store, however this has been my worst nightmare. When the technician was supposed to arrive for installation, they never came. I called two weeks later and they said sorry we forgot. I canceled the internet and spoke to the supervisor, he said I would not have to pay for anything because I never used the internet. Then a bill came, and spoke to another supervisor and they said it was their mistake I don't have to pay. Now I am getting a letter from collections, and frontier is telling me they cannot help me. I have perfect credit, unfortunately I believe I am going to have to get a lawyer to deal with this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. When I tried to get a hold of their legal team, the rep at Frontier Communications tells me she does not know the number because they are a big corporation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she says they will not speak with you or will not take the call. I am assuming management would know the answers to these questions. read more

I had my internet out for 4 days straight. Every time I called every employee kept on telling me the same thing reset your router and modem. Doing that 4 days straight gets on your nerve especially when the Covid-19 pandemic has us all quarantined everything (school, work, etc . . .) is all online. Without internet all of the important work is left pending and the entire frontier team we called did nothing but tell us repetitively to reset and schedule a ticket for a teaching Ian. Which leads me to my next problem. Every single technician we scheduled to fix our internet kept bailing on us and canceled our appointment. 1 out of the 6 technicians we asked for showed up and that one technician worked on the wrong thing. They changed my modem instead of the ONT and my internet went down 5 minutes after the technician left. We called once again and they would keep postponing our scheduled dates for technicians. Two of the times we were transferred to a dispatch team when calling and 5hey said the ticket they gave us for the technician is old and have to ask for a new one. So we had enough and canceled our service with Frontier. read more
