No one wants to replace a windshield! I had a busy schedule so they saw me in West Seneca. Marty…read moreand team could not have been more helpful. It took about an hour and while one might wonder what made service so good.... I had one replacement that left me with a piece of glass on my dash that had my inspection sticker etc on . I drove around with this for a year until next. inspection. Marty removed said stickers and applied them to my new windshield. This felt huge to me. I will definitely use them again and referred people already .

They came out to fix the window only to find out the window they ordered was the wrong window and told me I'd have to wait a week before the new window would come in. I understand mistakes happen so no problem. A week goes by and they call to confirm my appointment. I confirm! Only to call back minutes later and tell me that they can't do a mobile repair and if I can't come into the shop I'll have to call someone else to fix it and the lady hangs up in my face. As if that's not frustrating enough the service tech that came out initially left all the screws and bolts from my Benz door off because he expected to come right back when the correct window came in. So now I'm not only without a window in in car, I had to wait a week only to be told they won't come back out and do a mobile repair, and the inside of my Benz door is off and not put back together. I am mad AF and hate I even called them when it's tons of other companies I could have given my money and time too. I am specifically speaking of the Rochester NY, location.

I remember a time when shopping malls were in their heyday. I'd always try to walk a distance away…read morefrom the guys at the kiosks who would try to sell you windshield chip repair. I always thought it was unusual -- who would be out shopping for clothes and think, "Oh yeah, I've got a chip that should be repaired"? Some years later, I found myself with an annoying and potentially dangerous stone chip, about half the diameter of a bb. Worryingly, two cracks appeared to be increasing in length away from the center, about half an inch on each side. I finally figured I should take care of it before it gets worse. Instead of going to the mall, I decided to search Yelp for a highly recommended, locally owned business. That's how I found Frontier Glass. I've been familiar with their name, but hadn't done business with them. As usual, Yelpers did not steer me wrong. I phoned in the morning, and they asked me to stop by so they could take a look. I showed up just before 4:30 -- I knew they closed at 5 and worried I might be too late. They took me in right way, gave the chip a look over, explained how the windshield is constructed and how the procedure works. They advised that there was always a chance that the cracks could get worse once they pumped resin into them. I said I'd take my chances -- it was either that or I was looking at (through?) a new windshield. 15 minutes and $50 later, I could barely see where the chip was. Great customer service, quality work, reasonable prices, local, woman-owned business. 5-stars on all points.

Welp, I had an oopsie. I was parked at a business in a very tight spot. It was the last free spot,…read morebetween another car, a brick wall, a telephone pole, backing out directly into traffic. I had a bad feeling about it right away. And in the end, I was right--the telephone pole got me. :-( I grazed it while backing out, enough to do a noticeable ding. Nobody was hurt. I didn't damage any property of anyone else. Except for the bit of telephone pole lodged into my driver-side door. I shopped around online for a collision shop not far from home with decent reviews, and landed on Schmidt's. I liked how the majority of their reviews on Yelp and Google mentioned that they handle pretty much all of the insurance back-and-forth, plus do great work. I called them, and they could see my car right away, so off we went. After meeting with Schmidt's, we decided to leave my car there right then for them to do the work. The shop was clean. Everyone was very friendly. (One hrrrmmmppphhh, nobody was wearing a mask, but I was, and they stayed their distance.) I called my insurance agency to connect them with Schmidt's, and for the most part they communicated with each other, without me having to do much at all. It took about four or five days for the insurance to finalize the approvals, and another four days or so for Schmidt's to do the work. The nature of the work is a lot of applying, then drying, then doing that again, so I knew it would take a while. But when I picked up my car, the work was impeccable! No signs that my driver-side door was ever up-close-and-personal with a telephone pole. The paint was all blended just right to match the rest of the driver-side of the car, and my pinstripe was reapplied nicely, too. I have had horrendous luck with most automobile shops, still not having a good, reliable, trustworthy go-to mechanic. But when it comes to collision, if I ever need work like this again (and I sure hope I don't!), Schmidt's is definitely my go-to collision shop.
