This is my 2nd review & update for this company... 1st whatever you do stay far away from this company.. Here is why, as I wrote previously my Internet has been out since July 3rd till today. They sent out a dig crew on July 14th, they dug up the line that's connected across the street on neighbor's yard & disrupted there Spectrum Internet, I had to deeply apologize to them for the mess & chaos that Frontier is causing. On July 16th there Technician Dan comes out (a really good guy) & at 4:30 p.m. to get my Internet to work, it only lasted 5 hrs!!! Today July 17th they out digging again at 3p.m. I told them to stop & thanked all the Technicians for all there work but I'm done with Frontier & Switching to Spectrum. I then called customer service told them I'm done & want to cancel, she said okay I understand sorry to hear that, she then proceeds to tell me I have to pay a bill from July 4th-August 3rd the bill is $89 but would discount it to $81 & I also have to pay $50 cancellation fee lol It's only funny to me because I'm tired of being angry with them & it is sooooo INSANE I have to laugh, You literally cannot make this stuff up!! They want me to pay a bill of $81 for NO INTERNET SERVICE & $50 to cancel..What other choice do I have but to cancel as you are NOT Providing me Service..!!? They should be paying me my lost salary for not being able to work since July 3td. I'm actually considering filing suit against them for that..or Consumer Affairs as I'm NOT paying a total of $131 for not having any Internet service since July 3td!! Anyways if you look on Google reviews for this company you will see they have 1.3 star review & all reviews and complaints are just like mine..I've been a Loyal Customer with them since 2005, I don't know what happened from 2021-2025 they used to be an Excellent provider but that's done with I guess, they actually treat a Marine Corp war Veteran & loyal customer of there's for 20 years like Garbage...?? WOW!!! At all cost AVOID this "company", Trust me. read more

So I signed up with a 59.00 monthly rate for internet service with a 10.00 discount for auto pay, then I only received that rate for 1 month. I was charged 59.00 the other months. I am now moving, I called to cancel service. It will cost me 175.00 to cancel service. This is for restocking fee, cancelation fee and final month fee. Don't use Frontier, they charge unnecessary charges when canceling due to moving. Not my fault that they don't service the new area that I'm moving to. read more

If you are closing out your account, ask for proof that the account has been closed. I called on three different occasions and was told my account was closed but it never was. then they wanted me to leave the account open for the next tenants!! Totally unacceptable!! Terrible everything!!! Being charged for tv service I canceled. Internet service out for days your service is the absolute worst!!!! Wasted so much time with your virtual assistant chat that doesn't help. I work really hard for my money and can't even come home and use my internet or watch tv. Probably going to have to switch carriers because your s is still out. How many days does it take to get service working again??? read more

Warning to all potential customers! I made the mistake of attempting to change my internet provider, because a Representative of Frontier Communications made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Big Mistake! I had their equipment installed. Immediately after the installation, I found that their Internet service was incompatible with all of my electronic devices, printers, and computers. I talked to their installers and they advised me to get new computers and a new printer. Mind you, my current provider internet service was compatible with all of my devices. As a back up I kept my current service, just in case Frontiers' Service didn't work. Moving forward, I called Frontier immediately thereafter to CANCEL my services. I never used their service, not even one day. But this is when my nightmare started. To follow, they started harassing me by emails billing me monthly charges and telling me that I owed them money. Unfortunately, I gave them my banking info, on the onset. After at least 10 calls insisting that they CLOSE my account, and a few threats from me that I would take them to small claims court, they finally told me that they closed my account and there was no money owed. This is months later. I have never experienced this level of bad customer service with any company. They don't deserve even one star, but this is the least I can give them. Thank you, Very disillusioned! read more

I have been a customer of frontier Verizon for over 20 yrs. When I bought my home in 2004 I already had my home phone. I did not have internet. I never had a problem with my phone service. When I signed up with Frontier Verizon I told then Not To Bundle my phone with the internet. But Frontier Verizon did what they wanted and did just that. I Never signed anything to allow them to Bundle my home phone with the internet. Since that time my home phone stops working snd becomes dead at various times. Sometimes it lasts for hours sometimes for days. Eventhough I have fiercely called Frontier Verizon to help me, they have refused. My home phone has been dead for over 2 weeks and Frontier Verizon has NOT TURNED IT BACK ON. What makes it worse is that They still are charging me for my home phone! Eventhough it doesn't work and is DEAD. There is also one more extremely Important reason. That my son has a disability and he needs the home phone to contact me in an emergency. Also. If the internet goes down I will be able to contact someone. My home phone Landline has been dead for two weeks. I also pay bill on time. So. My advice to anyone reading this. Do not sign up with Frontier Verizon. They are not reliable and their customer service agents are not trained correctly. Also toi expensive. read more

If I could rate them less than one star I would. I have no patience for this company anymore. For the last year, I have had problems with my phone line, where I have no dial tone. Can't make calls or receive calls. Then I had problems with my router. They said they would order me a new router and I would have it in a day or two. Four days passed and no router. Called them up and they said, it was never ordered. They reorder and when I receive it, they sent me the wrong one. So I had to return that one, they reordered the right one, (supposedly) wait five days and I still hadn't gotten it. Call them again and once again, they never ordered it. When I get the right one, they tried to talk me through how to connect it and it wasn't working. I talked to various agents there, including a supervisor, (which took days for them to find me a supervisor), and they still were not able to help me. I was without internet for 18 days and must of called them, a minimum of 12 times and been on the phone with them at least an hour each time. A couple of times, one agent and also the supervisor told me they were going to call me the next day, to try and help me some more, They never did. I asked them to send out a technician to connect it for me, and they said it was going to cost me $150.00. I told them, I wasn't going to give them one more cent. I finally had to call a computer person myself, (which cost me money too), and when he tried to connect it, he couldn't either. So we had to call Frontier again. They had my guy on the phone for an hour and ten minutes, before the problem was finally fixed. Since then, my internet has been working slow. Also since, (two months ago), my phone stopped working again. This company has people working for them that do not know what they are doing and don't keep their word. I am at my wit's end with them and do not recommend them at all and after reading several reviews, I see a lot of people have gone through similar things with them and are just as unhappy with Frontier as I am. read more

Frontier is, by far, the most disorganized and ineffective company I have ever had to deal with, and I am 75. To simply move my phone number from one house to another (I moved), they needed 30 DAYS. To get this service I had to call 5 different numbers for 5 days. On the last day, I was on the phone for 2 1/2 hours. Each day, I was transferred multiple times and ended up with dropped calls. Hint: ALWAYS get the Order # so you don't have to start at zero each day. Expect to talk to people in different countries with poor English skills and less training. Every time they transfer you you get to start over with no explanation.. Also, they have bots that will help you kill a lot of time with questions that have no relevance. It's another ring of hell read more

Yes, I have a business Quadco Bespoke LLC, my internet went down w about a month ago due to wires being down on the Pole, I have reported it several time , Fontier has promised to come out and fix the problem, but to this date they keep postponing the appointment, I wouldn't recommend them to any business or new customers looking for internet. read more

I called last Friday and they scheduled me for Monday to install service Monday came the appointment was for 8am to 12..absolutely no tech and no calls from him. After 8pm he send a txt message saying that our home isn't inside the cover areas. However my neighbor has same service. He was rescheduled for Tuesday and it was from 8 to 12 then 8 to 5 then 8 to 8. No show. Wednesday absolutely same experience. This has been a absolutely mess calling the customer service ppl they talk in circles and do absolutely nothing productive. Then we get a txt message saying that the technicians were rescheduling us for the end of the month. I have been trying to get a supervisor and every person has refused me to speak with one. So I drove up to the building in town and not a soul was in sight and doors were locked. I checked all the doors and I set for over a hr waiting n talking w customer service again for the same crap. I have absolutely never experienced so many lies and unprofessional unproductive and just ridiculous people. How do they even have jobs. I'm calling the HR department THE TECHNICIANS NAME THAT WAS THE ONE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THE INSTALL HIS NAME WAS DALE. I'm in crossville Tn and this company is a fuckin joke. terrible company. that's why i switched to Spectrum. i had phone and internet service for more than 10 years and they kept raising my rates, even though i was supposedly on a plan for 2 years at a time, during the plan years, they raised the rates. but leave early from the company and they charge you a horrendous early termination fee. so they can raise the rates during the plan, but you leave early, they punish you with a punitive fee. heads they win, tails you lose. good riddens!!! read more

Overseas call center rep was rude and hostile. First they told me there are no contracts then said there was an early termination fee if I cancelled before 12 months so they basically lied to me. Then I tried to say I didn't want to do business with them and that they didn't have authorization to run a credit check and the rep started getting loud and interrupted me and tried to talk over me while I was trying to say I didn't want a credit check run. Then he brought a second rep on the line who also was loud and interrupting me and talking over me, so then I had TWO overseas calls reps talking over me at the same time and would NOT let me even finish my sentence about not wanting service and it wanting them to cancel order. At the end of the call one of the guys started yelling at me saying I was being rude and tried to lecture me. He wouldn't even let me talk. I finally just hung up the call. Please be advised that if you run a credit check or set up an account after your belligerent reps wouldn't even let me talk I will be contacting the appropriate authorities. read more

Its me again. I posted on Monday as of today, August 22, 2025, no one from Frontier called me back like they told me they would to give me an update on my Mom's refund. I called earlier this morning and Mary/Marianne whom I was speaking to hung up on me. I then called Northlane, their 3rd party vendor who handles their refunds and they told me they have received nothing from Frontier regarding my refund. So now I'm back on the phone with Frontier (Zamo is the reps name) and have been on hold for approximately 32 minutes while she is checking the status of my Mom's refund. She supposedly called Frontier refund dept and now refund dept is supposed on hold waiting to get thru to Northlane. This is insane. Obviously they outright lie to their customers as when I was on the call with Frontier on Monday, they told me they would call me on Wednesday to give me an update, which they never did and also told me this would be resolved with 24-48 hours, which was also a lie. Zamo finally came back on the line and told me that supposedly Northland told Frontier refund enter person that they sent the refund check to me on 8/18/25 and said that I should expect to receive it within 10-14 business days. Northlane told me that they had NO record of a refund. Who is lying here? I asked once again for a Supervisor. On hold again, then they hung up. A few minutes later my phone rang, it was Supervisor Lungelo, he said he got on the call but couldn't hear me, so hung up and called me back. He reiterated that a check was supposedly sent to me on 8/18/25 and I asked him to verify the address that was used. Once again it was my Mom's old address that he stated, which is incorrect and I told him this and then he put me on hold and now almost 30 minutes later, I'm still on hold with no resolution. Everyone in this company is a liar!!! I'll believe it when I see the refund check. read more

Their cable wire is hanging down in my backyard. Took 1 week to get an appointment on 3/11/25 1 - 5pm. Waited all day and they text me just before 5:00 saying the tech is on his way. Then less than 1 minute after that they canceled my appointment. Telling me I have to wait until 3/17/25 for another appointment. Seems like all they care about is installing their new customers Internet. Eveyone else are pushed to when ever. If anything happenings before that I will take action. Their Customer Service is a joke. They lie to you on updates. Look at their feedback. It's Bad! read more

The worst internet company I ever dealed with the service is very bad and have very bad routers

My internet didn't work for a week so I terminated their service. Even after they sent a replacement modem, still didn't work. But they are charging a $50 restocking fee after returning all their equipments. This is too much and unacceptable. I went online and the first agent that I talked to waived that amount but when I was transferred to the billing department they said they can't waive it. Don't ever get a FRONTIER INTERNET! Very horrible experience. They are the only service provider that's charging a big amount for restocking fee after you terminate their service. read more

Frontier Communications remains a complete disaster. Internet went down again, contacted Frontier, installed another internet provider and cancelled my Frontier internet, so, they cancelled everything and now my phone does not work, contacted them again, they started up my phone line without call waiting or caller ID and now after almost 2 hours attempting to contact them again by phone(s), internet and chat. Nothing. Even their callback feature calls you back and puts you on hold and then disconnects you. If at all possible avoid this joke of a company. I did not write the above, without ongoing incompetence now for months and actually years. P.S. the internet goes down if it is raining, too hot or too cold, as per technical support. How do patrons in other states survive? They don't if you can believe their reviews. read more

If I could give a minus 5 I would. This is the absolute worst customer service I have EVER seen. That they suck beyond all measure is an understatement. The online chat is worthless, the phone calls produce nothing, supervisors are useless (if you ever make it to one), and NOBODY can get anything actually done. If you can use any other service out there I would strongly suggest you do so! Worthless, worthless, worthless!!!! read more

I would give zero if I could! Those company has no established ethics or procedural protocol, nor do they even know what's going on! Wait until Verizon purchases Frontier Fios. Frontier has horrible customer service. For three weeks I was without internet. I had to jump through hoops just to get to a person, but they each only said, there's an outage, nothing we can do. Their technician insisted on sending me the unbreakable wifi for 30 days free, which I did not want, but he claimed it would get me up and running...it didn't and I had a nightmare getting it back to them and stopping them from billing me for it even though I told them immediately I was returning it. They kept saying we can't do anything until it bills out. WHY? I have worked in billing, this is ridiculous. I finally got ahold of one person who realized something was off, he worked a miracle and got someone to come out. Turns out, a rep had unplugged me at the hub while doing another install and didn't put it back. THREE WEEKS!!! I was to get a certain discount, of which they only gave me part of. The frustration dealing with them was extreme. Wait for Verizon, MAYBE it will be better.. read more

I've had Frontier Internet and home phone service for years and in December 2024 reached out to them to check on my service because the internet was so slow. 2 techs came out and said my internet is as good as it would get without upgrading to fiber. I agreed to upgrade my service and my bill was supposed to drop from $119/mo to $30/mo. 4 months later...they've cancelled so many appointments on me, changed the dates or times for the appointments, lied on the notes on my account that they had dug holes in my yard and I didn't want them to dig in my planters..blatant lies. Called spectrum yesterday and they delivered my new equipment this morning. Troubleshooting the connection process myself wasn't working so I reached out to them and they sent a tech to my house within 45 minutes. It's all set up now! Meanwhile I've been on the phone with frontier trying to cancel for 43 minutes and counting. NEVER GO WITH FRONTIER read more

I wish I would give this zero stars. A salesman came to my door and convinced my husband to switch service to frontier. They came out and set up service by draping cables all over my yard. I was told someone would come out to bury the lines but that was over a year ago. We've had multiple calls and multiple technicians come out and none of them are equipped to bury the lines. Now the line was cut accidentally by our Gardner and they can't fix it for over a week. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone at this company. I've never been more frustrated with a service in my life. Canceling immediately!!!!! read more

My Internet never works so this time I called to find out why my Internet was not working. My bill is not due until 30th of May it's only the 24th and they shut my Internet off because I have not paid this month bill. The due date on my bill says the 30th so they can shut you off when you're five days before the due date that makes absolutely no sense. Their service has never worked anyways even when you pay your bill five days before the due date, Verizon should've never sold to them. They're horrible. Customer service is nonexistent and used to be the customer satisfaction guarantee not at all now it's who can piss off the customer. I would rather go back to dial up Internet, then to have Frontier in My Home. Not to mention the prices they charge for no service is ridiculous. read more

Unfortunately, on numerous occasions, I have tried to reach Frontiers customer service center, which is by far one of the WORST. You can never get a live agent it's always a stupid robot telling you which button to push. If you're looking for an internet or cable service, do not use Frontier, by far one of the worst. They don't mind taking your money, thou! I wanted to give it a no star rating poor service. read more

Frontier Communications is absolutely the worst business in the USA. Not just the worst phone company, But the worst business of any kind. the service is very unreliable, and the customer service is almost non-existent. My phone network has been out for three days, and it took me fourteen Hours of my time to reach a representative. He was nice and helpful, but couldn't fix the problem. He told I would receive a call within 48 hours to get a repair technician here. Five days without phone service. No way to speak to anyone. Website Help is completely useless and stupid. Really, every one at Frontier should be fired, and start over hiring new administration. Do not use Frontier phone service unless you have to. They promised that the new digital Network would be better than the old copper wired network. WRONG! It is no better in any way, and worse in that it requires programming, which is something else to go wrong. DO NOT USE FRONTIER PHONE SERVICE, UNLESS YOU LOVE PROBLEMS. read more

My landline was not working, people would call me and get a message my number has been disconnected and is no longer in service, I would call out and get a message the number I'm calling is blocked. I would go to the Frontier website to log on to my account so I can report the problem and cancel my autopay. The website was not working for days so the last option I had was to call Frontier through my cell phone. I would get someone on the line and tell my problem and they would tell me to call back tomorrow. The next day I'd call back and get the same recording, that they are working to fix the problem. I was having doubts Frontier existed. I estimate my service problem went on for ten days and I finally called to cancel my service. The Frontier rep told me Frontier had been hit by a cyber attack. They offered a credit and wanted to refer me to Tech support, I declined and convinced the rep I had had enough and to go ahead and cancel my service. I would not recommend Frontier Communications. read more

Without a doubt, in my over 7 decades of life on this earth, I have never encountered a worse company in terms of customer service, responsiveness, technical support or just plain old human interaction ! They make it very nearly impossible (in my case over 2 hours) to access a real human being to discuss your problem. I can confirm as posted by other reviewers, that when you call one of their numbers, they offer you the option of having them call you back without losing your place in line as they want you to wait on hold for 25 minutes. Of course, I selected the "call me back when a rep is available" rather than wait 25 minutes "on hold." Now get this: A robot calls you back AND PUTS YOU ON HOLD AGAIN!!! Who does that ????! This company has no clue on how to interact with human beings ! They are the most over automated & under humanized company on earth ! My problem was never fixed - the Frontier.com dashboard claimed my account was suspended & no longer active (not true) and I had no way to access my account, review or pay my bill, etc. etc. I am definitely switching internet providers. This company needs to completely re-invent itself, especially in the area of customer service & ease of access to real human beings ! In the meantime, I'm gone ! I'll be dead before this company ever improves! P.S. - Forget getting help from the "chat bots" - they are useless ! read more
