This is a great store for outdoor furniture, pool chaises, etc. If you are on a quest to upgrade your outdoor style, then this is the place to start. Their merchandise is certainly a step above Pottery Barn, but it also is more expensive. Their high prices are their downside as some items are quite simply overpriced. I had ordered the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock and deluxe hammock stand in March, 2017 with the understanding the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock would be shipped in May. I have received 13 "sorry, the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock isn't available" emails promising it will be shipped at a later date. Each date comes and goes with the promise of another date it will be shipped. It is now the middle of August and still no Coachella Jewel tufted hammock. I received the stand, but it doesn't do me any good without the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock. In addition, Frontgate has had the Coachella Jewel tufted hammock for sale on their website at least three additional times that I have seen. Not sure why they would try to sell it when they haven't been able to produce the item to a current customer that ordered it in March. I normally love Frontgate's products, but this has really tainted me on the company. I have asked for a response from the company's president/owner as I am sure he/she would not be thrilled knowing this type of business practice is taking place. Again, they send emails stating how sorry they are, but still no hammock. We live in Minnesota so the hammock season will be coming to an end in a short time. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE WEBSITE MANAGEMENT. IF THIS ONLINE ERROR HAPPENED, IMAGINE WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH YOUR 'SECURE' CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. I recently order an Espresso Maker online from Frontgate.com. Apparently their programmer or database admin messed up and it pulled information & pricing wrong. As the 'customer' you could not know. I completed my order and the next day received an order confirmation for a "Slow Cooker". Not what I order, not what what the onscreen confirmation showed (I had printed and saved this). NOBODY contacted me. When I went to look at my order online the next day, it said "Slow Cooker" - I called. No resolution as to the Slow Cooker. I followed up again the next day by email, received an automated reply. Then another that said they were having Management Review, next day no call or followup from them... I reply AGAIN to email from Support asking for status, received ANOTHER Auto reply... Finally I called again, told the rep I need to talk to a manager. They looked my order up, told me there had been a glitch, that really my $200 Espresso Maker was $600. They would charge my card the different, but graciously give me free shipping! THAT's IT.. I thought their products (EZ bed, outdoor decorations, entryway rug) were excellent. Even better was their customer service, which I did not expect to be good. I bought the EZ bed in queen size first but it didn't fit the room so I had to ship it back. The UPS store screwed up and didn't wait for proper shipping label so the return got lost. Frontgate took over tracking and refunded me and fulfilled my exchange request (sent me EZ bed in twin) immediately, with no hassles at all. read more

Negative stars! Fed up with their supposed "sales". They send numerous emails about great sales but then manipulate prices so no savings. They had a bar cart at $999 regular price w/ 15% discount and advertised free shipping - but only shipment option was inhome special truck delivery which was $100. So no free delivery. New anniversary sale - advertising 27% off site wide. Same cart that was $999 last week has now jumped in price to $1199...hmmm that's a 20% price increase. 27% off $999 would have been $730 but 27% off $1199 is $875 - so only a savings of 12% off the original $999. And still have to pay $100 for delivery. I don't care how nice products are - advertising/sales practices are SLEEZY & SLIMEY. I will not buy from them again. read more

I have purchased many, many expensive items from frontgate over the years, but am officially DONE. Their customer service practices and policies are horrendous. I've been burned many times over the years (how about the glass top table that arrived with the glass shattered into thousands of pieces -- which cut me - but they wouldn't replace or refund unless we shipped it all back?!?), but for whatever reason I kept going back. Recently we had a very expensive metal outdoor dining chair break into numerous pieces when it fell over. When I went online I was delighted to see it had a 10 year warranty, but when I contacted customer service they said that when I purchased the chair (3 years ago) it only had a one year warranty. Same chair! So, my only option is to purchase a new chair. Now they are telling me they can only be purchased in sets of two. I don't need two chairs - I need one. Two chairs are $1200. This is ridiculous! And the customer service folks could not care less. I'm done with frontgate -- look forward to taking my business elsewhere! read more

Never again. After thousands of dollars in outdoor furniture, I can not begin to explain my frustration with the delivery and lack of customer service follow through. I will not use this company again. The order arrived late, partial delivery 2 hours AFTER the promised delivery window ended, no explanation of where the rest of the shipment was, mismatched cushions, missing 2 cushions of the fabric I ordered, no follow-up phone call from "special" concierge rep when she said she would call, etc. I've never written a bad review for a company, but this ordered was truly mismanaged and felt very unprofessional. I ordered and air purifer from frontgate which we never recieved. UPS tracking proved we did not recieve the item we ordered. When we contacted frontgate by email explaining we had not recieved the order along with the UPS email showing we did not recieve it, they sent us an email back which said they had received the item we returned. We then called customer service and they went ahead and credited our purchase but they still charged us for shipping even through we never received the order. Avoid at all costs. The most incompetent and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Items are listed as "In Stock" but take months to arrive - if ever. Each time you call its either "Its going out tomorrow" or "We shipped it but the shipping company lost it." They have used both of these excuses numerous times with us. Of course if you want to cancel or return partial shipments they put up all sorts of red tape and fees. This is the classic company that spends all its money on fancy catalogs and false praise. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I have been waiting for TWO MONTHS for outdoor sofa and ottoman to arrive. Placed the order on 6/2 and kept waiting and waiting. Called customer service MULTIPLE times to check on the order and every time I spoke with someone they kept telling me that it was "on it's way!" Last week when I called they told me that the order had been "stuck" at the warehouse and I needed to cancel my old order and re-order. I can't even make this stuff up! Supposedly my NEW order was to arrive today, so I waited at home for the delivery and only HALF of the order arrived! As I write this review I am currently on HOLD with customer service! I have wasted COUNTLESS hours just trying to get this outdoor furniture set, which makes me think that it is not even worth it at this point. There are SO MANY OTHER furniture companies, PLEASE go somewhere else! Oh, and Cornerstone companies (the parent company) also owns GrandinRoad, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill and Improvements. After months of waiting on this part (which I have ordered three times because it keeps breaking) I'm told "we can't get the part" and "we can't give you a new reel because it's out of warranty". I have purchased several items over the past 10 years from Frontgate and never had an issue. A year ago I purchased two pool chair floats and they stated to tear. The Frontgate rep told me they were still under warranty, a pleasant surprise. This is where it started to go south. I placed the return order and after two weeks, no chairs. I called Frontgate and they said the chairs were not in stock, well, why didn't they call and tell me, even though they sent emails that delivery was set. They finally told me they would send the chairs and then I was told the color I ordered no longer was available. I told them I went online and they were available. The rep put me on hold and came back saying the warehouse did have two in stock. They finally arrived, but were dingy and did not have the clean shine. I thought, fine, just use them. It has been less than a month and one chair is tearing apart in two places under the arm rest, I have pictures. There was also a small hole and when I took the chair out of the pool, a black liquid started coming out of the hole. I needed to use the chairs, so I had no choice put to use the spray rubber sealant to cover the tears and hole. Very dissatisfied with these chairs, even more disappointed with the rep and not sending me a quality Frontgate product. read more

I ordered a baseball wallet with a piece of a baseball that was actually played at an MLB game. I ordered it because it said "wallet". When I received said "wallet", it was actually a money clip with a credit card slot in the back. It was NOT a wallet. I called them and told them of the mistake, thinking I received the wrong thing. She told me I had not received the wrong thing and said if I wanted to return it, I would have to pay $8.95. Because I could not use a money clip, I opted to return it. When I received my refund, it was for almost $20 less than what I paid for the item. I called and they would not work with me. I since purchased a watch from them that I never would have done, had I known this would happen. Very disappointed in this return scam. read more

I gave it 1 star because I had to. I bought an indoor insect zapper that arrived with two broken bulbs. I called to get replacement bulbs and they sent me bulbs a week later that were the wrong bulbs. So I called again to replace the replacement bulbs and they weren't sure if they sold the bulbs I need. WHAT?! Terrible horrible awful customer service. Wish I would have yelped the company before ordering from them. We will see if the correct bulbs ever make it here.... read more

Order shipment was a complete fiasco. After receipt of partial delivery Frontgate insisted the order was shipped complete. Three months to get it straightened out and complete shipment. After two years aluminum cladding on the porduct totally delaminated. Customer service has been non responsive, unwilling to replace, repair or offer a solution. I just received a life size Christmas Character (LuLu) from Frongate which I ordered from the catalog. She is everything they said she would be and more. She is very heavy and very detailed. She can sit in a chair or hang on her stand and still look adorable. Her little dog is perfect and the bottle of booze to hang in her hand was a extra surprise. You advertise something (NYTimes!) with free shipping, and then charge $25. This is not a catalog item, its a single item 'with free shipping'. I saw their light weight compact ladders at friend's and decided to buy one anyway - total cost was as mentioned higher than expected. I carefully measured a place to store it before ordering. When I read all the negative reviews I nearly choked. I had already ordered a magnetic world map for about $200. However the product arrived at my home in two days! Ordered Monday morning and it was there Wednesday. It was as good looking as the picture online and came with 50 magnets. I ordered another 50 which has not arrived yet but I was supplied a tracking number and they should be there today when I get home. And the customer service was great when I called to check on the shipping time. I would buy from them again based on this experience. read more

I've placed a lot of orders with Frontgate and have spent thousands! I haven't had any problems until my last order. When I saw their advertisement for outdoor furniture for 25% off plus my order was enough to where I would receive a $1,000 coupon to use later I had to take advantage of it. My total when I placed my order taking in account for the 25% off and the $1,000 coupon my total came to about $3,700. I ordered about May15th. My first email from them told me that my order had been delayed and delivery date changed to June. My second email from them said delivery had been delayed until end of July!! The furniture finally arrived and in good condition. I was happy with my purchase. I then received an email asking about my purchase to see if I was happy and sent a link to purchase a furniture cover. I responded and told them I was happy but that I still hadn't received my $1,000 coupon yet. When I called customer service one lady said that it had been emailed. Another lady said that it had been shipped USPS. Well I didn't receive it either way. They couldn't resend it through an email plus they didn't have any tracking info so basically they couldn't show any proof of ever sending it plus they told me my coupon had already expired!!! I then go my Frontgate orders online and notice that they charged me full price for everything I ordered. The total was now over $6,000 dollars!! I called them back and was told since I used the coupon offer code that two codes can't be used and that the 25% offer had expired!!! Had to talk to a manager explaining I didn't get anything.....not a $1,000 coupon OR a discount off my product and that I had just received my order.......I paid full price for something i was told my balance was going to be $3,700. Expired Gift Card!!!!! I have place an order with "FRONTGATE" the first person that I spoke to was friendly and made me feel at ease when placing my order for OPTIMA BEVERAGE TUB, I was told that my order was a signature item and therefor it would NOT be considered for their special 25 Year promotion deal which is 25% off. I went and told the person on line that I was disappointed because there 25 Year Anniversary and they would exclude small item such as Beverage Tub. However I said that I have $50 gift card from Christmas and if I can use that. The operator said that would be ok and she would be able to place my order. When I grabbed my gift card for $50 I was reading the number to the operator and noticed in a very small writing that there was Expiration of 03/2016. I told the operator that I had not known that there was expiration attached to my gift card. She said that she is NOT able to help me but I can speak to her supervisor. I went ahead and re-explained my entire problem and supervisor told me that there's nothing she can do to help me. The car I received was sent out in December and there's NO way for them to look into expired card. I asked nicely that it's a lot of money to be just wasted and if there's anything that can be done to look into the expired gift card. It's not that I was not buying I was and all I wanted to do was use my gift card that was given to me. I was told that sorry there's NOTHING the she can do even if I give her number on the back of the card, she's not able to help me. Told her that I have been a loyal customer and she said thanks but still can't help. It's safe to say that I have been so disappointed that I will NOT be buying from FRONTGATE again. I feel is that I should have been helped and there's always ways of looking gift cards up in the system. This particular manager didn't want to do her work and seemed too busy to even speak with me. Incredibly frustrated by my experience with this company. You pay a premium price, the quality doesn't match the price, and they do not honor their shipping dates. I ordered replacement cushions for some outdoor furniture bought two years earlier from Frontgate. The cushions, after two years in a screened porch, are worn out. We ordered replacement cushions on October 12th, with shipping Nov 8th on the website. On October 23rd received an email saying the delivery date was now Nov 23rd. On October 29th, recieved another email pushing the delivery to Feb 8th. Had I known that they would not ship as originally promised, I would have had the cushions made locally, as I wanted them for Thanksgiving entertaining. Spoke with their customer service, who went through thier training manual, telling me how sorry they were. Asked to speak with the supervisor, who told me it was my fault, since this could happen with a backordered item and that I should not have ordered them at this time of year. I went back to check if I missed the fact that these were backordered. Nowhere, on any of the emails, did it say the product was backordered. I asked for the next level supervisor, who at least listened to what I had to say, and didn't try to get me off the call. I should have been wary when placing this order as the same delivery problems occured with the original furniture order being pushed back. It is hard to believe in this age of technology, that they could miss a delivery window by more than three months, especially given that they provided me with dates on two prior occasions. I will not be doing business with this company again, and would suggest you think long and hard before doing so. They market themselves as a luxury goods provider, and deliver at a level below discount stores. read more

I ordered something online that was on sale, and used a gift card they sent me, the first ever with all the money I have poured into this company over the years. After I checked out I realized that they charged me more. I called them immediately and the person told me they cannot do anything, so I demanded to cancel my order. I then wrote them about my order and experience. They never ever responded and it's been a few weeks. I went online and added something to my cart just to see if my gift card would work, and it does not. I, along with my family, have spent a LOT of money on this website, from an entire house of Christmas decorations, bedding and rugs, to other big ticket items like their ridiculously priced furniture. I cannot believe this is how they treat their customers. If I could give them minus five stars, I would. I'm so disgusted and wished I never bought anything from them. If I could give zero stars for this review, I would. Frontgate presents itself to customers as a high-end retailer. However, they outsource the delivery of their products to unreliable trucking companies with very low customer ratings such as CEVA Logistics and JB Hunt. I had to cancel my entire order because I was not been able to schedule the delivery of my Frontgate order with CEVA Logistics. Few days after I called to Frontgate and cancelled my order, CEVA delivered my order at the random time and unfortunately our nanny without knowing the situation accepted the already cancelled order. Frontgate "kindly" arranged for another incompetent trucking company (JB Hunt) to pick up the merchandise that CEVA erroneously delivered to my home. It is already the second week I am eating for JD Hunt to call to me to schedule the pick up while Frontgate customer service representatives keep saying that I should keep waiting! Meanwhile, Frontgate charged my credit card and will not refund my money back until they receive their items back. I will never order anything from this company again and advise you to spend your money and time elsewhere. The scheduling the delivery with CEVA was impossible. CEVA computer system generates the phone call and gives to you the choice of few 2-4 hour delivery options on only one day. CEVA has faulty phone system which does not allow you to speak with their customer service representative. It puts you indefinitely on hold while giving to you periodically bogus waiting time (ex. "Your waiting time is 3 minutes and 14 seconds), then 15 minutes later of waiting in silence, the computer notifies you of another new wait time of 4 minutes and 45 seconds and the process repeats itself until you gave up and drop from the call. Awful!!! Frontgate, stop using non reputable delivery companies if what to keep your customers! read more

This organization has dishonest employees working for them. I purchased a faulty outdoor table. Went to store, scheduled a return with replacement. Trucker schedules and shows up earlier than four hour window with the text we're here. I call and said I'm heading home now and will take about ten minutes. Couldn't wait even though didn't show up within their window. I explained they were to pick up a damaged table. He said call and schedule because they're only here to drop off and left a text photo of box at my door. After phone tagging with the trucker numerous times, they show up again outside of scheduled window to pick up table. I go to frontgate and spoke with mgr who said she would handle. I then received a letter saying they were charging me for the table not picked up. I called and told them I was bringing table to their store. I was told they wouldn't accept it. Finally, the truckers showed up as scheduled, picked up table. I photographed them carrying it out and received the pick up slip. I had already disputed with my credit card company and sent them both docs. On the last day FRONTGATE was allowed to dispute they sent in a total lie saying numerous times I've ignored their request to pick up and requesting their money for the table. I guess they thought I don't keep a file on shady businesses as theirs. I'll resubmit the same docs again proving they picked up the table OCT 26 2018. Moral of story, don't trust them or their business practices and lack of. Keep all your documentation!!! I'd give a zero rating but one is the least allowed... read more

This is store is a nightmare!!! I ordered medium luxury down pillows from these folks. They sent me the wrong order 5 times!! Yes that is 5 times. I had to repackage and send them back 5 times. They always apologized but never got the order correct. And on top of that charged my credit card after repeatedly telling me they would never charge me until they got the order right. Now, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card. And they said they sent me the wrong item but were still charging me even though i sent it back. I have a carpet that was poor quality, wanted to return it (which they allow) and they hold 1200$ of my money and have not picked up carpet after a month of waiting and calling. Well, May came and went and I called again and was told the delivery date had been pushed back another 2 weeks. When it did not arrive on that date, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. He was very apologetic and even took a percentage off the price, but said he could not fix the delivery delay. Several days later a large OPENED box arrived on my driveway. The plastic packing anchors inside the box had been cut and to add insult to injury, THIS WAS NOT THE ITEM I ORDERED! The item was not as pictured in the catalog! I have ordered from this company on more than one occasion. Purchased three of the Fleur-De-Lis hose holders ($99.50 ea.) and in no time at all the center piece is peeling on all three. Purchased the outdoor Classic pineapple thermometer and clock ($99.95) both do not work properly. A Bailey variety stool ($349.00). I get bombarded with e-mails, coupons and catalogs from this company but when I tried to utilize the discount the item I want is exempted, its a "Frontgate signature piece." Figures. I asked if they would honor a $50.00 gift card they sent to me that had recently expired but no that was too much to ask for. I spent a thousand dollars with this company and they won't honor a gift card they sent me? Poor business practices. Over priced with substandard quality and customer service.
