I purchased the Amelie Servers & Cake Stands on January 17, 2026. While the cake stand itself is beautiful aesthetically, the quality has been extremely disappointing. I used the stand for the very first time this past weekend while entertaining guests, simply to hold fresh bagels. This morning, after removing the uneaten bagels, I discovered that the chrome-plated surface was already corroding and the chrome was actively flaking off the stand. Not only is this unacceptable for a product at this price point, but it is also deeply concerning from a safety standpoint. Had I not noticed the deterioration, it is entirely possible that guests could have unknowingly consumed metal flakes from the plating. A food-serving product should never present a potential health hazard after a single, normal use. This was not an inexpensive purchase, and I expected significantly better quality and durability from your company. At a minimum, I believe I should be fully reimbursed for this defective product. I also strongly urge your company to investigate this issue immediately and consider pulling this item from shelves before it potentially causes harm to another customer. read more

Not surprised by the reviews. I purchased a $3000 outdoor couch set. I put the cushion covers in the washing machine and they ripped beyond belief. I called Frontgate to see if I could purchase new cushion covers but they do not provide this, only new cushions and covers for $2000 lol. I tried to contact the MFG directly but Frontgate has a nondisclosure agreement with them, most likely to hide where they get this material and inventory from, cheap. read more

So disappointed in the quality of their outdoor teak products. Every product I purchased from developed mold shortly after being placed outside. Their customer service team was very slow to respond and when they did they told me mold was normal. My out space has many other teak products none of which grew mold. Unfair and Deceptive. When they have a sale they jack up shipping fees. Pretty sure that is illegal in some states. Either way, it is a sleazy way to do business by hiding additional fees when they have big sales. On July 1st, I purchased a hose reel and it was $224 (shipping was $25). 7 days later (on July 8th) the reel went on sale for $209. Guess what, shipping magically rose to $35.88. It is extremely unlikely that their shipping went up almost $11 in 7 days. It is extremely unfair and deceptive to advertise a "sale" and then jack up other fees to make a profit on unsuspecting consumers. I may report them to the Attorney General's office. I have been a long time customer 15 years. Most of our purchases have been holiday goods....expensive holiday decor. Had been ok with pricing because quality was decent and my wife did well when having to communicate if there had been issues. The quality in the past few years ...especially this year has been incredible and not in a good way. Almost shockingly poor considering the price point. Purchased two nutcrackers small...each one was 899.00. Probably should not have purchased because given the size alone not a fair value. Received them and liked them but astonished at the size for the price. Decided that would probably be it for us with this company. When the price dropped as it should have...my wife tried to get a payment adjustment and was told it was set and to look for the action within 7-10 days. When that did not happen called. Long story short was given the runaround...similar to other customers issues. We had been off by three days (our dog died) and I explained we stopped looking at the pricing in that period. The next day we got a call from them asking for our unit number which my wife gave the Frontgate person. Then she got an e-mail saying the furniture was shipped to the last mile company. No word from the last mile company, so today, 7/31/23 my wife calls Frontgate. We canceled your order because of no unit number and what you want is now out of stock. We purchased a set of all-weather wicker chairs in 2009 from Frontgate and they've been great. But now the "glides" on the chair leg bottoms have begun to disintegrate and I contacted the Frontgate Parts Specialists to ask if I could buy replacements. Frontgate still sells the chairs, but the "specialist" couldn't help without an order number. We found the original invoice and e-mailed it. Another "specialist" told us they couldn't help after all and gave me a website which sold chair glides...but with no size or part reference to the chairs which Frontgate still sells. Totally useless. I found the part myself on Amazon, which I should have done in the first place. I purchase several very expensive Belmont Bath Accessories, Shelf, Toilet Tissue Holder, and Mirrors. The items are boldly marked as FRONTGATE and not MADE IN CHINA. The Toilet Tissue Holder is defective but after the 1 year warranty allowance and I was not able to obtain a replacement. I received a response from FRONTGATE to my question after several prompts for an answer: "Are Belmont Bath products MADE IN CHINA?" I received confirmation that they are. I believe that I purchased overpriced junk that I thought would be of quality under the FRONTGATE label when it is junk MADE IN CHINA. I placed an order for several bathmats for over $200. After three weeks, I didn't receive them. I then went to check my email to look up the order number and noticed that they never sent a confirmation email. However, the charge was on my credit card, so I called Frontgate. After a seemingly endless loop of automated response prompts, I finally got through to a customer service rep. She was unable to find the order with my name, credit card #, and date and was very rude - she simply stated that there was no record of the order, so it never went through. I offered to send an email with a picture of my cc bill where the charge appears. She just repeated that there was no order. She said she would put me through to a supervisor. After several minutes on hold, they disconnected. I called again, same woman voice, she asked me to hold and then hung up. Finally, I got through to another rep, who did put me through to a manager. After repeating my credit card number 4 times, the manager was able to find the order; however, she said it never went through. I asked how it could be that the charge went through, but the order didn't. She said she had no idea. I told her I would just dispute the charge and that's that. I have purchased other items; some were good quality, and others were junk. You need to be aware that if you wish to return anything, they charge a hefty shipping fee, which they purposefully do not make clear anywhere on their site. I decided to research who owns Frontgate and discovered that they are owned by QVC. So, it is no surprise that half their merchandise is total junk. - in short - buyer beware. read more

"Caveat emptor"......Latin for "let the buyer beware." Purchasing outdoor chaise lounges from this company has been one of the most frustrating retail experiences I have encountered. Ever. Basically, their "truck delivery" through a third party (J. B. Hunt) is very restrictive in the sense that they tell you when they are coming.....like it or not. Busy that day....too bad, pick another day next month. Kids have things going on that day and won't be home.....too bad, pick another day next month when "they come to your area again." You will have little to no say in delivery options. Next, Customer Service is a real joke. They say "sorry" a lot, but then they also say "there is nothing we can do" about other delivery options. Then, when you tell the, you would like to just cancel the sale because delivery is so difficult, they agree, but happily tell you that everything is refundable except for the shipping charge ($279!) and "there's nothing we can do about that." Really? The items have not even shipped yet!!! Keep in mind though that Customer Service will not budge one wee little bit to help you resolve the issue. So, at this point I have asked our Credit Card bank to intervene on our behalf. They report that they are asking for a full refund of the entire amount paid, i. e. including the shipping fee for the non-shipped items. 100' Retractable Hose Reel Item # 144861. I've had my current reel for less than two years and have brought it inside during the winter. They have major flaws that cause internal leaking, which Frontgate has informed me is not repairable. I sent them pictures of the exact part that is leaking, and asked for a replacement part. They would not provide a replacement piece, and haven't offered to replace the reel itself. Essentially, they've told me I'm on my own. If you buy this, expect to get just a couple years out of it before it needs to be replaced. read more

Not only does Frontgate blow but they are also thieves. I ordered a $2,000 rug from here. Charged us $300 for shipping. To return they charge you the same amount. So, another $300. 3 weeks ago Ceva their shipping company came to my house to pick up the rug. I asked delivery to confirm it was the Frontgate return. He said I don't know. I had no other returns so I let the delivery guy take the rug. I told him he needs to call and verify. He said no problem. I signed the documents and he gave me a copy. Now Ceva can't find the rug and have it marked as not returned. I've called Frontgate multiple times with them telling me they will refund my money in 3-5 days. I call again today. Now they say they can't refund my money because Ceva can't find the rug!!!I've waited over 3 weeks for my refund. I email my documentation from Ceva (that Ceva gave me) to Frontgate. Frontgate calls Ceva with the documentation numbers on the return form. Ceva still can't find the rug and Frontgate is refusing to refund my money until Ceva can grow two brain cells and find a missing 70 lb rug. How do you lose a 70 lb rug? How is this my fault? I have been a Frontgate customer for over 10 years. I bought their Carlisle Furniture back in 2012 and love it. I loved it so much I bought the set again this year (2023) for another home. The quality has gone down drastically!! They must have changed their vendor who stuffs the cushions or just decided to use lesser quality material. These cushions are useless. You fall through the slats in the sofa, and there is no support at all in the back cushions. I tried to replace them, but they came back the same. Obviously since Frontgate got bought, their quality has now suffered! I took all 10 cushions to a reupholsterer and am now putting in better filler. He said the material currently in there is VERY LOW QUALITY!! We compared both sets and I can see that the seat cushions went from 4 inches of high density foam to 3 inches of low density foam. Given that this furniture is very expensive, I would NOT invest in Frontgate unless they change their material. Sadly no longer a customer! read more

This season, I tried to repair two garlands, but in the garbage they go. The product is beautiful but not durable. Frontgate should improve their lighting. Next year, I will try other companies. A dear friend and real estate agent bought me beautiful gifts from Frontgate. I had never shopped there before. But found that their products were quality upon receipt. She bought 3 gifts. An oriental runner rug, a marble monogrammed wine opener and a monogram door mat. The runner rug was not my style, nor did it match my decor ideas. The wine opener was not something that we'd ever use. So I decided that I would return those two items and keep the door mat. They issued me a gift card. I didn't realize that the gift card had an expiration. If someone spent money on the items the value should not be null and void. Finally after explaining my displeasure, the rep told me that she'd honor the gift cards. She said I just needed to all her back when i was ready to use them. Well I called back and was unable to reach her. So the next couple of people I talked to said that they could give me a 30% discount. The 30% discount for such expensive items was not nearly the value of the gift cards. This was my first experience and my last. Although the dresser we purchased from Frontgate is pretty, I would not recommend purchasing that dresser or any other furniture from Frontgate due to significant issues with delivery and quality issues regarding the drawers. Frontgate contracted with JB Hunt to deliver the dresser. Dealing with JB Hunt was beyond frustrating due to successive no-shows and difficulty with rescheduling the delivery on a timely basis. It took four delivery attempts to finally get the dresser delivered. The first time, the driver showed up thirty minutes before the window, got out of his truck, snapped a picture of the front of our house and drove away. There was no obstruction to our entryway. The second time, we waited all day, and the dresser was never delivered. The third time, the delivery men determined that the safest way to ensure that the dresser would not sustain damage taking it upstairs (because of the relative fragility of the legs), was to leave it in the box while moving it to the second floor. Due to the combined weight of the dresser and packaging, the dresser was put in our garage for a week until three people could be scheduled to move it. On the fourth try, two people showed up. Not three. They unpackaged it in the driveway, took out the drawers, to decrease the weight and finally it was moved upstairs. Fortunately, it was not snowing or raining that day. I contacted Frontgate repeatedly due to the problems with delivery and problems with rescheduling. Frontgate representatives expressed 'sympathy' for the delivery problems but did not appear to actually 'do anything' to achieve a timely resolution. We spent way too much time dealing with JB Hunt. Reviews of Frontgate on Yelp reveal similar complaints and excessive negative reviews of JB Hunt on Yelp made us question why Frontgate would even contract with them. We have had many large items delivered to our home over the years and never experienced anything like this. After the drivers moved the dresser upstairs, put all the drawers in place and drove away, we noticed that all the drawers were noticeably uneven. Each drawer on one side was pushed against the dresser frame, while the other side had a relatively large gap. The drawers did not self-close, and each drawer rubbed lightly against the frame when pushed. We analyzed, repositioned the drawers, and finally leveled the drawers with thin strips of cardboard. I determined that the dresser looked satisfactory with the cardboard under each drawer. Based on our exasperating experience with delivery, I decided not to bother contacting Frontgate to request a different dresser. In the past we have purchased expensive, high-quality furniture and inexpensive, lower quality furniture from various manufacturers and never saw gaps like this in drawers. I just submitted a two-star review on Frontgate's website. I regret that I gave them two stars, one star was more than enough for a flawed, overpriced dresser that cost above $3k. read more

Horrible Quality for "Resort Plush Robe"! Their towels have 750 threads per inch and are wonderful and made in the USA. HOWEVER their Robes are outsourced from TURKEY and only 250 threads per inch, are not finished on the inside leaving a vulgar, raw feeling on your skin. I ordered a small and it was a Large with shortened sleeves, and the robe dragging onto my ankles. Completely unacceptable. My daughter requested gift certificates for various holidays and birthdays. I was more than happy to get these as it was easy, convenient, and best of all it was something I knew she could use. After collecting several she decided to use them towards outdoor furniture only to find that Frontgate only allow you to use a max of 3 cards/cash to purchase an item. That means for a $1200 item she can only use 2 gift cards and either a credit card or cash for the balance. So although she may have 12 X $100 gift cards she can only use 2 gift cards for one purchase ($200) and must pay the last $1,000 in cash or her credit card. This is the most unethical practice I have ever seen and I question the legality of this practice. If Frontgate consider this good customer service, they are totally off the mark. I tried to use it on a $150 pool floatie that was on sale for $141. They stated I couldn't use it since the item was "on sale" for a whole $8 off and you can only use 1 promotion at a time. Fine, charge me full price and give me the discount you offered. A 20 minute phone call resulted in no help. Way to treat a first time customer. I purchased a modular outdoor furniture set from Frontgate about 5 or 6 years ago and it still looks "brand NEW"!! It is kept outdoors but under a covered patio. I have a small patio to work with so I had to make a strange configuration with the pieces! I'm very pleased with how it came together and sooooo pleased with not only the quality, but how well it's lasted and stood up to all kinds of weather conditions in the Texas Hill Country! BEWARE of Excessive Fees Have been looking for counter height stools and found some I liked on Frontgate.com. After much thought I decided to go ahead with the purchase even though there were pretty expensive. When I went to check out I realized they were charging an extra $20 handling fee for each $200 stool. That plus shipping put the total price over the top for me. I just felt like I was being ripped off, $20 handling fee for each 26" bar stool, that is excessive. I looked up the closest store and found that I wouldn't be too far from the Westgate Ohio store next week so I asked via chat if I could pick them up at the store. I was told due to COVID they discontinued store shipping, after questing that I was told they don't ship to Outlet stores anyway and I could call the store and see if they had any... To me the poor customer service on top of the excessive "handling fee" made the decision to find something elsewhere easy. I don't thing you can find anyone charging "handling fees" these days. I just purchased a 125 lb cast iron sink and pare of our remodel and it was shipped to me for free. read more
