If it was possible to give zero stars, I would, because that is what this apartment deserves, because it is the textbook definition of unprofessional service. After waiting for nearly an hour to meet a representative to see an apartment, I finally left because I have an hour and a half commute home.
Last week (Nov 28) I reached out to the leasing office to set up a time for a tour of the apartments. I currently live very far away, and wanted to be closer to school and work. The leasing agent who got back to me, Claire Ruppert, told me that the office is only open from 9-5, but that she would be able to show me vacant apartments at 6:15, after I get out of work. I thought that was very accommodating of her, and was super excited to see the place since it was only 5 minutes away from work.
Today, I left work a little early, to ensure that I would be at the Frontenac on time. I got there early, only to not see anyone there. A resident let me in, and I decided to wait inside, so as to avoid the rain. Over the course of an hour, I would call Claire twice, and call the main office 3 Times, only to be sent around in circles. About an hour after our appointment time had passed, I was told by an answering line operator to head over to their sister apartment, the Clarence House, and someone from the apartment would be there to meet me. So in the rain, I walk back to the Clarence House, and of course, there was nobody there.
I called the main line again, only for no one there to know what I was talking about. I finally had to throw the towel in and head home, because I couldn't justify waiting for someone who was never going to show up. I should also add that Claire didn't pick up any of my calls, nor did she pick up the calls the management office made to her on my behalf. So unprofessional.
All I can say, is that if this is how the management and leasing office treats PROSPECTIVE tenants, I don't want to know how they treat people who are locked in by a lease. I would warn anyone interested in these apartments to reconsider. read more
