Tried it and I can say the gravy saves it but that is pretty much where it stops. The Huevos rancheros for a CA Restaurant are a disaster, steer clear of this dish. This will be my part 1. Interesting and busy place but we were seated right away. Denver Omelette was great -- lots of thick cut veggies plus Swiss cheese -- nice flavor. Service was courteous but a tad slow due to full restaurant. Food wise, my only complaint is the toasted English muffins were room temperature. Came here based on Yelp reviews. Monday at noon we came in. I ordered the corn beef hash. My girlfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy. Food was just ok, nothing spectacular. Ordered eggs over medium, they came out runny as all heck. My girlfriend's eggs over fried. More than anything else, what stuck with me was the costomer service. Food came out in fair time. But the servers were unattentive. I tried to ask a server for some refills, and twice she said ok, but never came back. No one came by to check the table. When we were done, I went up to the front and asked for the bill. I asked again for water to be delivered to the table, and it finally was. 3/5 stars. I ate here 2 years ago with my family and it was great! But the second time we came was just the worst experience you could have in a restaurant... first off, one dish was missing from our table. It's always weird when everyone is almost done eating their food and someone is just sitting there waiting for their order!! he waited an additional 25 min and his order finally came out and they said they had forgotten to make it!! Our bread also didn't make it to the table till 25 min into eating our meals. And I think the worst part was when we paid for our meals and were about to leave, and my mother didn't receive her credit card back. We asked our waitress and she just said, "is it not on the table?" Like hello of course we checked the table before asking!! We called to ask if you needed reservations and they said no, and then failed to tell us it was a 40 minute wait for a table. They were seating groups of 2 at large tables that could seat more which caused the wait to be even longer. When we were finally seated we ordered and one of our guests waited over 20 minutes for a single drink. We asked multiple staff members where the drink was in order to get it. At the VERY least they should have comped the drink. They did nothing. Why I'm only giving 3 stars: It would have been great if my party could have finished the aforementioned delicious food. It just put a bitter end to our dining experience when two people at my table weren't able to finish their plates because the plates were taken away too soon (they still had a fourth of their plate left). I can't wait to go back here! This place was packed, and even so, the service was very attentive and prompt. I ordered tea, and I was presented with 10 different varieties of Stash tea, which instantly impressed me. There were so many delicious sounding options; it was hard to decide. I finally landed on one of their skillets, and it was delicious. For my toppings, I chose beans, avocado, and tomato, and the beans had a great flavor that enhanced the dish. However, the service was extremely sub-par; we were seated in this super awkward area next to speakers and a service cart despite nearly the entire patio being free. A couple who arrived significantly after us had their orders taken first and were served their food first; the time difference was so great that they asked for the check right after we got our food. Additionally we saw our waitress maaaaaaybe twice during the whole time; the busboys and food runners did far more for us than she did. Came here for lunch (I really want to come back for breakfast/brunch) and ordered the Tuna Wrap with a side of Asian slaw. The wraps are huge and I was full after half of one (it's practically two wraps). The Asian slaw was good but pretty heavy on the dressing so it really balanced out my sometimes dry tasting tuna (glad they didn't put too much mayo in it). Was really disappointed that the food did not match the name. I would expect that the ketchup would at least be from an organic local company or from Whole Foods. I understand that making food from scratch is difficult for some restaurants to pull off. If this is the case, then they should rename it to something other than from scratch.
